You touch on an interesting point... I grew up around computers, and am fairly good at using them. Kids today though are much more knowledgable only because they are being exposed to new technology younger and younger. Heck there are kids books out that are essentially computer pads, which we never had growing up.

I think with the internet and ease of accessing information, we are finding younger people being at the same level of curiousness we were, but they have a much easier time finding the answers than we did because of technology, and to an extent the changing socail view on sexuality and what is tauight in schools as well.

The issues is brought to light with the recent issues of sexting, and underage students sending innapropriate pictures to each other using the phone. The laws in place are to rptect children from adults, not neccisarily children from children (however parents using schools as day care and relying on schools to raise their kids is a part of the problem).

The answer the kid gave of why would I look at older women is a catch 22, since it makes sense from their viewpoint, but also creates a real issue of mentality and knowing the ifference between right and wrong on a moral level as well.

As with any advances in society, the laws fall behind and must play catchup.

Would you have shot Elvis too? He met Priscilla when she was 14?

I would have.

But mostly so he could never sing "In The Ghetto" again.

"The mob mentality here is scary."

By design.. "innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt" requires critical thinking and questioning sources.

Folks have been programmed to accept & react.. not think.

Maybe there was, maybe there wasn't.. "child" porn on these servers. Aiming at regular folks seems low budget to me, something the govt does.

I'll second that. These people are less than human. They failed at the game of humanity a long time ago and don't deserve to be here with the rest of us. Castrationp> might be an option, but im a firm beliver in cowboy logic. If you wrong someone like that you don't deserve to live, because there is no way to reform someone so evil. Death is really the only option. I say let the parents of the children do what they will with them, its just as good as the deth penalty.

While I might be inclined to agree with you about these people being less than human (I find many people to be lacking in sentience, these days - for a number of reasons); they do still have a right to due process of law.

I am all for the death penalty and the practicality of simply eliminating a person (or exile) from society rather than keeping them around on tax dollars when they have almost zero chance of reform through imprisonment. Honestly, I think we should completely overhaul the penal system to focus more on rehab for first offenders and exile/execution for chronic or pathological offenders.

Still - due process.

Yeah - if a guy is raping someone in the street - I'll bust him until he offers no resistance (which may be after he's dead - depending on the circumstances); but you can't do that to someone accused of a crime. When you start doing that, you're no better than the Third Reich or various supremacist mentalities that rationalize another person's inferiority based on racial/ethnic backgrounds.

Which leads me to another point: Many people are simply unaware of their own prejudices and their own supremacist tendencies. I'm among the top performing people when it comes to metrics of intelligence - I'm often frustrated and infuriated by the lack of intelligence displayed by other people and have stated, before, that I find many people to be less than human.

Makes me an intellectual supremacist. You believe these people are less than human because of some act they have done - a moral supremacist. It's part of human nature and psychology to do this - to take things we simply cannot comprehend and place them in the box of: "not one of us." It is dangerous when you don't realize you do it, and/or make no efforts to keep that mentality in check.

It was a signal to these people to watch their backs. They can't hide in the dark regions of the net. Remember, darkness hates the light and that's what anonymous did; they put a spotlight on the perverts.

And they gave up their due process when they subscribed to a child porn forum, which in itself is criminal.

Saying that a message popped up (left that out originally and just said the kid came to you with the info as if in guilt) clarifies a little better.
The message is probably a hoax. The authorities don't operate that way.

There are some legal movies out with the title "Lolita" one from 1962 and one from 1997, perfectly legal to watch and own in the US. But if you search the title of that movie, some of the search results will take you to an alleged FBI warning that says your IP has been logged and authorities have been notified. The site admin admitted it's a hoax when some people got upset.

If you really searched for child porn, you wouldn't get a warning about it, they would log your IP and if you downloaded any from their sting site they would knock down your door with a battering ram. That's the way they operate. They don't give you warnings so you can delete all your downloaded files while they prepare the search warrant.

To even suggest that someone who looks at a picture should die makes me realize how sick supposedly moral people really are. Actually you are worse rapist only injure you want to murder.

So true. I am positive that violent reactionary mindset as displayed by some people in this thread has caused much more evil than all the child porn in the world combined.

Punishment has to fit the crime.

I see this thread is kind of getting off topic but I will post anyways.

I think the biggest thing that got my attention was that there were 1500 signed up members, that means there were guest also who didn't sign up.

All of this was giving access to material that shouldn't be accesible.

Someone said that looking at a picture isn't that bad.

Making a justifucation like that show little comprhension of the subjest matter. It is exploiting of children. Young children.Really young children.

I think the reason anonymous gave them the time, was to show them that soomeon was paying attention.
That it was not acceptable.

I think with this anonymous might be able to regain some of their supporters.

Sorry, but a little bit of hacking is not going to win me over that easily. Watch out, I believe you are a shade naive. That is the kind of thinking politicians bank on for pushing their agendas after false flags!

Yes, the thought crossed over and I chose to ignore it and remain blissful. To use a keyword.

Thanks for ruining that for me, you, you, dream shattering realist..

Although I applaud whichever anons did this work, I have to agree that perhaps they have eliminated a source of viable information for law enforcement. The roaches will scurry, and set up shop elsewhere, of course.

Pedophilia is not the sort of thing that can be stopped by taking down hosts on the internet. It has always gone on with human beings, and always will. Some in this thread have even gone as far to suggest that it is institutionalized at some level within our power structures.

Also, don't forget the definition of a pedophile. A pedophile is defined as one who is attracted to pre-pubescent children (which is disgusting IMO), whereas a "ephebophile" would have a sexual preference aimed towards 15-16 y.o. children, which also IMO, is not right, because the older party is taking advantage of a younger parties inexperience in emotional and sexual matters. Technically, a pubescent female is ready for reproduction, but it's still not right IMO. Then you get into the gray area of young ladies taking racy pictures of themselves while they are underage. Are they child pornographers?

Some countries have and age of consent that I personally cannot understand, but their societal norms dictate their morality.

My personal feeling towards the matter is similar to ProjectXVN. I would have no qualms about putting a few rounds downrange towards the producers of pedophilic pornography. IMO, there's no way to justify what they do to children.

My background is mostly in healthcare, psychiatric nursing more specifically.

I spent 3 years at a state security hospital on the forensics ward (all patients deemed M I and D, mentally ill and dangerous), About half of the patients on the unit were classified as pedophiles, but only 25% of those had acted on those urges and actually hurt a child.

Now I've been watching the roadrunner get chased by the coyote for 40 years on TV, and have yet to strap a rocket to my ass. I've had an XBox since they first came out and only play 1st person shooter games, yet I never went on a rampage and shot up a Dress Barn.

We need to separate someone who wacks it to kiddy porn from an actual predator. To not do so is to take the extreme biblical route and say that thinking is as bad as doing.

Is it?

There is no cure for these folks, treatment is a fairy tale. If that's what turns you on, no amount of therapy will change that, ever.

So do we lock up everybody who likes kiddie porn, even if they would never act on it?

I'm not sticking up for kiddie porn users, just being realistic.

Lol

No need to see a reference I know what a fascist country is and this isn't anything like one. I referenced it because the time period in which your little (irrelevant given the circumstances) poem was from. You, apparently, unaware compared the actions of fascists to the actions of people outing possible criminals that will actually get a fair trial. So using that poem was ignorant at best.

The first they came for.. poem was written during and about fascist Germany. How about I put it this way since you can't get a grip on it. There is a difference between going after groups of people, and going after criminals (the only thing about them that allows them to be considered a group is their crime).

I can't believe you are seriously making that argument.
I don't know why I bother talking to people who blather on and pretend they know what they are talking about. Dimwits.

We need to have more groups taking this kind of action don't ya think. I did some research on my own and came across this site that gives statistics on Child Pornography and it's just sickening. Some stated below.

1. Child pornography is one of the fastest growing businesses online, and the content is becoming much worse. In 2008, Internet Watch Foundation found 1,536 individual child abuse domains. (Internet Watch Foundation. Annual Report, 2008).

2. The fastest growing demand in commercial websites for child abuse is for images depicting the worst type of abuse, including penetrative sexual activity involving children and adults and sadism or penetration by an animal (Internet Watch Foundation. Annual Report, 2008).

3. In a study of arrested child pornography possessors, 40 percent had both sexually victimized children and were in possession of child pornography. Of those arrested between 2000 and 2001, 83 percent had images involving children between the ages 6 and 12; 39 percent had images of children between ages 3 and 5; and 19% had images of infants and toddlers under age 3 (National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, Child Pornography Possessors Arrested in Internet-Related Crimes: Findings fro the National Juvenile Online Victimization Study.

4. Child pornography has become a $3 billion annual industry (Top Ten Reviews, 2005).

I want to make a logical reply, but I see two conflicting sides to this issue. I will try to respond rationally.

If someone was committing a crime within my neighborhood, I would hope some witness would report it to the authorities. Once the authorities step in to take action, serious crimes are usually reported on the evening news.

On the flip side, "Anonymous" is also breaking the law. Although their crimes are not disgusting, like those watching child pornography, I personally think the group needs to answer for their actions. One criminal's actions do not erase another criminal's actions. Two wrongs do not make a right.

Top marks for Anon, about time they used their considerable skills for something worthwhile.
My only question is this, if these guys can do it (and lets be honest, as a hobby), then why can't the people in law enforcement do it???

Keep hitting sites and revealing the filth guys, you'd be suprised how many people would support your cause then!

Peace

That said, would you prefer Anon continue acting illegally and stop peadophiles or Anon to stop and peadophiles continue?

Earlier in the thread someone said that Anon tried to contact the government on this and were ignored.
