There is also a term ' breaking a horse' which is when you teach them to accept a saddle and rider etc. When my son was very young his Poppy broke a horse and he asked us why did Poppy cut the horse in two ? SO you can see it's similar terminology. He didnt' understand the term until we explain the horse is not BROKEN, he is 'broke to ride'.

Yes somewhat, TKS ! I just wonder what else had to be cut. Surely eliminating officers on the street was the LAST thing to go after such as things as money for tests and equipment etc. You know when a smaller station will 'send out' for ballistics etc. I wonder if they ahve the funding for that kind of tests now. Maybe they're unable to look into BIGGER more complicated cases because of money? That would be so awful.

Missing Baby Lisa Irwin's First Birthday

The lawyer and parents were not in the room with the kids...so that's good news. Interesting how much different his take on what's going on in comparison to what we've heard through the MSM.

Michelle

I was able to watch the video as I am home today. Quite interesting. I agree and am glad no one was in the room except the boys and the specialist. Maybe the specialist could talk to them in such a way to find more information on what they saw and heard that night. Or just listen to them and note anything that sounds out of the ordinary. The littlest clue sometimes leads to a break.

They have money to tweet on the Internet.
They have money for a new headquarters for the bigwigs...
The FBI is/has been involved in this case from day one, and they bring in their expertise to this case, once again I suggest a google on FBI and CARD. If tests are not being conducted, it is NOT due to a lack of money!

I'm tired of beating a dead horse...oops sorry didn't mean to sensationalize anything. Must be my wishy washy nature. I am no longer going to participate on this thread other than to post updates that I find. I will keep my opinions thoughts and responses to myself and take it elsewhere. I don't have the time or energy to try to explain or defend everything I say to a stranger on the internet with a mind so tightly closed she can't even allow people to have a discussion unless they agree with her stance.

Having said there, Picerno is having a press conference as we speak. As far as I have been able to search it's not live or televised. there are several reporters tweeting the basics if anyone wants to check it out. The one i was following along with was Russ Ptacek.

I think everything that could be gone over by members in this thread has been done now. And until we know any info about the boys interview, we are sort of lacking direction where to take this. I'm trying to think how the family have coped today with it being Lisa's birthday. And maybe with it being such a poignant day, the parents might try and co-operate with the police again and let them ask them questions to maybe any slightest detail that might have been missed. I think that would be a sensible move, a direction to feel that more is being done.

I would hate for you not to come to the thread and offer your opinions. This is what makes discussion. After reading many people's thoughts and perceptions, I found that I started thinking of things I did not before. I thank you for all the updates and things that I would not have known existed.

While we don't always agree, I too would feel a lost, without your participation. I at least perceive your wishywashy not as wishywashyness but rather as a desirable openness to new ideas, and opinions! I believe we all will be poorer without your opinions, thoughts, and responses...

I don't perceive you as being so invested in your opinions, and beliefs, that you are unwilling to acknowledge when you have misstated a fact. Nor do you attempt to attack other who don't share your opinions, by proxy through another.

Wow. Just so all you "non wishy-washy" *unbiased* observers know, there are people reading this thread, and watching carefully what is being said.

I, for one, am appalled at the viciousness of some of the contributors, at their claims to have been "accused", and their labeling people as "VOCAL". Who, actually, have been the most vocal here?

I have dropped out of this sorry excuse for an "adult conversation" because I am tired of trying to un-screw all the screwed-up and asinine allegations being made against me. I am very definitely in agreement with Silo.

Yesterday, I had an epiphany, however. And it was delivered by David and Gabby while everyone else was away. I had sent a question to David inquiring what his motivation was to diss the KCPD, to misrepesent their competence, to describe some imagined plethora of "traffic cameras" that should have found this baby. He responded, not directly to me (which was preferred), but on this thread.

He is an idea man, he got paid to think.
So, that's why he's suggesting all of these things the KCPD did wrong, left out, didn't care to do, were to incompetent to do, apparently because he considers himself to be in a position of authority. He is here hoping the KCPD are reading this forum so they will see what brilliant insights and ideas he has that they might have missed.

And since they are apparently NOT taking his advice, which he so freely and heatedly gives here on an anonymous message board, to a police department that HE has decided is incompetent, inept, untrustworthy, and reviled by the citizens of the city where they work, well, then, they must be idiots. His goal is to enlighten, to be the "go-to" guy for the KCPD, to point them back on track when they have so failed his expectations that they can't POSSIBLY know what to do.

The trouble is, that David has a warped image that he is clinging to, a mistaken and ignorant (in the literal sense of IGNORING data presented that rebuts his outrageous portrayal of this city, its infrastructure, its climate, its education, and its decency). He has convinced himself that his own idea of KC is indisputably accurate, correct, and spot on, and that only HIS ideas have merit. He patently disregards repeated attempts to offer him data, demographic information, and insight, because he sees himself as superiorly knowledgable, expert, and above all that.

Davd's own explanation showed he sees himself as right, the truth notwithstanding, i.e. regarding which zip codes are blighted with murders, drugs, thugs, drive-by shootings, and a longstanding aversion to "snitching" among those low-lifes who do NOT value life...the fact that the FBI has offices right here in Kansas City....the fact that the family has allowed the media to portray them in a way that has much of the country puzzled and confused....the fact that citizens are wary of NYC celebrity defense attorneys and private investigators have taken it upon themselves to attach to this case....

and as for Gabby;
She is of the persuasion that the Illuminati are behind this, and has even implied that I, with my perspective and firm stance that the mother of this baby was irresponsible, am possible involved with them (WHHattt???!!!), made me finally see the light.

And I had a real good laugh about it all after I put some thought to how they had finally shown where they were coming from.

Michelle and Schmae, I think you two have done an admirable job of keeping balanced and not running with whatever far-fetched scenarios some have contributed.

Silo has her head on straight. She does have supporters. I admire her guts to even pay any attention to this thread anymore, because it has become completely misleading, hysterical, fantastical, and absurd.

We don't know what happened to Lisa. We don't know what the police are doing, or not doing. We don't know why the FBI asked for time, or who this magnificent deep-pocketed puppeteer is that keeps this shameful display of sensationalism in front of the public eye....

Where is Lisa, you "armchair" detectives and Illuminati insider specialists? This retired psychological professional wonders how you have become so self-assured and delusional about your opinions that you are no longer able to see anything but your own opinions as truth, or to listen to others who might just possibly have some knowledge that you LACK, and to insist that others whose words YOU have twisted have "MADE YOU" feel "accused" and "forced you to endure" having your own POV questioned. You have made yourselves into what you are. No one has done it TO YOU.

As for me, I am still hoping this rich benefactor as her safe in a villa in Tuscany, with a full staff of nannies, doctors, nurses, housekeepers, and a fabulous baker who is arranging a 1-year-old's first birthday. Otherwise, I check in on this thread just to observe the personalities being illucidated, and have the fun of reading the ridiculous and juvenile assertions that pop up from time to time.

Cheers, all.
Happy birthday, Lisa. God bless you.

I'm with you, Michelle, outta here. Schmae, you are right, we've beat this thing to death. I suspect if there were a virtual room for us all, some would have beaten others to death for their "vocal" rebuttals to ignorant claims.

IWOH, thanks for your contributions, too. It almost became a decent quasi-discovery of a mysterious set of circumstances.

If I were Silo, I would ask that the thread be shut down. It's doing nothing for Lisa. Nothing at all.

If anyone is interested, I just heard Fox News say there is a "huge" break in the case, airing after this commercial break. The family's attorney will be on & it is in regard to the cell phones.

Take it for what is is worth......

OiO
----------------------------------------

EDIT TO ADD: The "breaking news" is..... Regarding DB's cell phone that was used to call Megan Wright at 11:57pm:
At 3:17am & 3:32am someone tried to access DB's voicemail (I'm assuming the one associated with the phone)
And someone tried to use the internet on the phone repeatedly.

~again... for what it is worth

Hmm, took them a month to find that out?

I'm not sure what this implies to the case. Anyone have ideas?

The family's attorney is claiming that it supports the intruder theory.

I wonder how so? I mean, why would an intruder try to access her voicemail, and how would they possibly know her password? I'd like to hear their reasoning behind that.

ETA: I guess because of the timing, it would imply that someone else besides Jeremy or Deborah had the phone. I don't know though - I'll be interested to hear everyone's thoughts on this.

This is a good question. The person trying to access the voice mail may not have succeeded. From what I read from OneisOne above it looks like they might have only tried. As far as the password goes, there are carriers that will set it so if the voice mail is connected from the actual phone, it will bypass the password if that option is chosen when setting it up. *Edit - Not saying this is the case, but I know it is offered.*

Also, I missed this the first time watching it...... The phone never left a 1/3 mile area from around the home. And something was mentioned about the area around the river, but that was vague sounding.

I honesty don't know how this supports the intruder theory, sounds like the attorney is trying to point the finger at Jersey.

Ok, the first segment was interrupted due to satellite problems. The attorney was back on and said, (I'm paraphrasing) Regarding the VM access, what happened was someone dialed the *86 to dial the VM, but did not have the PIN. He said that this happening supports the fact that the owner of the phone did not have it at the time, because "why would the owner call the VM knowing the service is cut off".

OiO

sorry for not getting it all in one post, but I'm fighting by bad typing skills and horrible spelling.

One interesting thing that comes to mind is the Lawyers for the family. I wonder what the FBI Specialist heard and got on tape from the two boys, if anything. The Lawyers were no longer going to discuss items with the media, but now are discussing them and holding press conferences. I just find it interesting is all, wondering what would bring it about. Maybe the boys said something that led towards the intruder theory? Don't know.

You've got to wonder, just how the DSM would view someone claiming to be professional and labeling someone delusional based solely on what they've read on the Internet. You've made sigificant claims here. You've tooted your own horn, and used that claimed status to attack another, nice.....

Is that an acknowledgement that you are not here, for the topic? That you are once again not interested in a response/conversation? Or is it simply more of your theatrics?

Just found this posted today on Fox News website.

Attorney: Baby Lisa’s Parents Are Now Suspects in Her Disappearance

On what would have been baby Lisa Irwin’s first birthday, her parents’ attorney held a press conference in which he told the press that authorities have informed Jeremy Irwin and Deborah Bradley that they are indeed suspects in the disappearance of their child.

The most notable remark in Friday’s presser by lawyer John Piscerno came when he responded to a reporter who asked him if his clients were considered suspects by police. Piscerno answered, saying, “They’ve told them as much, sure … Debby in particular.”

Video of the Fox News interview with the family attorney now posted.

As reported earlier in the week, investigators in the search for Baby Lisa Irwin found that even though Deborah Bradley’s and Jeremy Irwin’s phones didn’t work the night Lisa went missing a call was attempted at 11:57pm to Megan Wright, the time Bradley told police she was sleeping.

Today, Megyn Kelly reported in a Fox exclusive that cell phone records show that at 3:17 am and 3:22 am that same night, someone tried to access Deborah Bradley’s voicemail and use the internet.
