I hope this goes viral. It's great to see the propaganda machine at work. "Hey, but we're here giving you a chance to say anything you want to say." Unless you say stuff we don't like. Then we'll just pretend this little interview never happened.

Wont go viral because due is completely partisan.

Like I've already said - this is a political baby of the White House. Whole thing is a Wag the Dog moment for Obama.

This is exactly the opposite of partisan.

This is crazy; all of it... first this "movement" needs a whole lot more people to support it for it to go anywhere. Seconded this movement is dividing it truly doesn’t represent the 99 percent, as the voice of the people is eclipsed by its current government and elected officials. Why are they attacking people going to work everyday on Wall Street? My grandfather is a financial advisor, with a portfolio of over 80 million dollars. Is he a tyrant oppressing others?(by the way he lives in colorado, they are not effecting the majority of brokers/investors hello!) Im not sure this movement is attacking the correct institution, screw the top one percent. They made it there either by hard work, or a family member’s hard work in the past. They are not who we should protest we should protest our government on all of the issues, but because this movement is partisan and because our government has obviously arranged a control, by conquer and divide, we will not win this way. Believe me, whether liberal or conservative we all feel our rights have been imposed on, to truly over throw this institution we need to come together as people with beliefs working outside the system. To arrange a common goal with no elected official’s fingers in the outcome, we need to refresh, restart by whatever means necessary...

The problem is that the corruption on Wall Street and within "the government" is one in the same.

yes but its not the brokers/investors fault, its our governments fault for allowing this. Remember we elected the officials to speak for the 100% its there fault for listening to the 1%... Put this in the hand it belongs thats where you start. But no, i fear we are too divided by the corrupt machine to ever truly join to change anything. Obama i hope eats his words hope and change, because he made those words alittle less meaningful now.

We're getting back to that point again....except this time I don't see an ex-Beatle they can off to quell the gradual uprising.

I'm personally glad to see people in my social circle opening up to the idea that they may not be as well informed as they believed previously. I've also got to say, I've found that thanks to the TV show 'The Big Bang Theory', coming out with scientific facts when having a discussion is not so frowned upon these days.

Good on this guy for this interview performance....handled like a boss! (and I'm not talking about the money-hungry corrupt variety xD)

Focus on the economy? But no mention of the Trillions going to war.

.....

But that is not the point right now! It's the economy. Wars are great and necessary... and if we get our demands met we will even support MORE wars.

I am confused why you think those are two different things?

Of course the 1.3 Trillion tax dollars spent thus far on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq depleted our economy. That is a given.

Was this particular protestor required to cite the wars?

Did you get the impression that this protestor was pro-war??

Your post made some strange assumptions...that since this random interviewee didn't mention the wars, then the movement must be pro-war?

Bizzare reasoning...
edit on 4-10-2011 by Indigo5 because: (no reason given)

If you saw someone who had just been attacked, was about to die, had your finger prints all over them and then beside them was your tax return.. Where would you put your attention?

What would an Iraqi father who's child was killed by a US bomb think? Would he think this was pro-war or anti-war?

The issue is this. Wall street is not the problem. Wall street will pay off the people who think wall street is the problem. That is EASY for them. This protest poses absolutely NO threat to the real authority that enslaves you. After the engineered collapse of the markets, the president will come out and hand out some money, imprison some scape goats and everyone will go off to war.

If we cannot join together with the vision of peace all these demands are pointless. We are enslaved under the fear of physical violence. We cheer the bully in the yard on because we are too frightened to call him out. He might turn on us. So we kiss his ass and ask for scrapes. The war machine is the problem. The war machine is the enforcer of our REAL masters. Killing people is pretty violent wouldn't you say? This is how they rule the world.

This should be a PRO PEACE rally. That is the only thing that truly threatens our Masters. Money? they can just print it and appease us.. And in exchange we agree to more war.

Abolishing child labor laws
Eliminating the minimum wage
Eliminating Occupational Safety and Health Administration..worker safety OSHA
Eliminating workers rights/unions.
Protecting at all costs the wealthiest americans...bailouts, tax breaks, deregulation

The list goes on and on...it's not hyperbole, this is what the right says on a daily basis.

2. So the for-profit healthcare doesn't work? What state-run healthcare system runs better?

For profit healthcare works fine, but only for the shrinking number of people who can afford it, everyone else better hurry up and die because suffering sucks.

You can have both for profit healthcare for those that want to pay for it alongside "socialized medicine" It is not an either/or choice...hint, that is how the rest of the world does it.

3. My favorite - charity. Does this guy realize the government has been systematically taking away the tax breaks/benefits for charitable giving??

Source please?

WOW... MSNBC much....

1. I do not know ONE Tea Party member who wants to enslave children, or make the workplace unsafe. You're delusional.

2. Yes, you're correct. The for-profit healthcare system works WONDERFULLY! It has created the BEST technology the world has seen. Yes, it's expensive. But, why? Government interference is why. Look, while there IS a problem... handing over your personal health records to the government is NOT the way to go. That is scary on so many levels. BTW: just because the "rest of the world" does it, doesn't mean WE should do it.

3. You want a source? See below... but, feel free to do your own research; as ANYONE affiliated with a charity, they'll tell you what's up. online.wsj.com...

Having watched the video I have a couple of points...

Not wanting a profit based healthcare system isn't socialism, nor is it voting for Obama and his care package. Take profits out of healthcare, and you might actually reinstate a system which has a much fairer cost... note I used the term COST to all who receive it. Healthcare itself the world over is in a %&#$in mess mind you! The sooner we start looking to adopt a holistic approach to health and wellbeing, the sooner we might start feeling healthier... but thats a whole other debate.

Yes the guy speaks about the presidents birth certificate, yes a lot of us can see the PDF file was a sham, but there are two things we can focus our energies on... we could focus our energy on a certificate that the MSM and blind followers portray/believe to be real... or we could use our energy trying to engage with politicians and the president on the issues that matter, more importantly we could engage with other people, start debates, educate and inform. Instead we vilify these people who have gone and made a stand.

It seems for so many people, everyone is the bad guy, everyone has an agenda, everyone is a socialist, shill, communist, blah blah blah... Sometimes we don't have to fully agree with a movement - we can still be alligned to it. If it opens up discussion and CHANGE then surely only good can come about from it???

Occupy Wall Street Exposed

This is rather bizarre and can say I honestly didn't see this one coming. Geeesh. Is anything real any more? Is everything fabricated? False? Hollow & empty, not unlike the towers? Cold hearted orb who rules the night, removes the colors from our sight, red is gray and yellow white, and we decide whether to watch TV tonight...Which is an illusion....

Ok, if what he says is true and is sure looks like it, then these people all got paid and are part of some sort of acting club or troupe. Where did the protestors come from? How did they get so many?

Were they paid? By whom and for what purpose?

And if this was all a drill, it sure brings Sir Alex Jones into a whole new spotlight. Is this all Sir Alex has done for the last 8 years is exposing drills? A drill well done without any publicity would suck. Think about it, why waste a perfectly good drill and not milk it for its fear factor?

We need to do our homework here and find out what we can because it will help us greatly in our 911 actors investigation of the hoax of 9/11.

I've posted before that I went down to protest etc..I've defended them, but AJ raises really good points. I'm a smart guy, but I'm not seeing all the angles. occupy wall street feels like an oke-doke now, whether the people marching know that or not. learning it's always best not to jump, sit back, watch things unfold. guess I wanted something to believe in..

Ok, first off ....David Koch...Billionaire Founder/Funder of Americans for Prosperity and Freedomworks (Tea Party Express) and a dozen other PACs that fund and organize the Tea Party and fund Tea Party candidate campaigns ran for Vice-President once and his publicly declared platform

promised to abolish Social Security, the Federal Reserve Board, welfare, bminimum-wage laws, corporate taxes, all price supports and subsidies for agriculture and business, and U.S. Federal agencies including the SEC, EPA, ICC, FTC, OSHA, FBI, CIA, and DOE

This isn't conspiracy, it was HIS CAMPAIGN PLATFORM. He is the largest single funder of the TP. Freedomworks? Ever hear of it?

The battles with the unions are an extension of his life-long agenda.

Joe Miller - Tea Party Alaska candidate:
Alaska Republican Joe Miller’s argument to Jon Karl that the federal government lacks the constitutional authority to impose a federal minimum wage

abcnews.go.com...

Rand Paul - Tea Party
It's not a question of whether (the federal government) can or cannot. I think that's decided. I think the question you have to ask is whether or not when you set the minimum wage it may cause unemployment.”

I can given dozens of other TP candidates and examples...but have to get to work.

Let me know if you are still confused...DITTO on OSHA, Maybe you can google OSHA and GOP or tea Party and familiarize yourself with the platform you are defending?

If needed I will provide as many sources as your like...and not MSNBC.

FYI - no one bartered and traded "for the common good"... they did it because they needed something they didnt have - else they would never produce an abundance of something they didn't need.

Paper money is the evolution of barter and trade - easier than carrying furs around to buy milk and eggs.

Well I provided tons of links to factual articles explaining the TPs interest in eliminating the minimum wage...including quotes from Rand Paul, Bachmann, New commers and TP vets.

Now onto OSHA

Congressional Republicans are promising to scrub the government for what they say are "job killing" regulations. One of their primary targets is the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, or OSHA.

Let me know if you want TP candidate quotes on OSHA.

Again...strange that you claim it is "dellusional" to think the TP is looking to crush OSHA when the TP itself is calling for just that?

Strange position you have taken. Is it by choice or occupation? I only ask because even a cursory examination of the issues would reveal that my claims were plainly factual.

LOL...

Look kid... when you enter the workforce, perhaps you will understand. I will not waste my time with you, especially considering you cited that CNN article from 2000. Did you read it? Really??

That whole article surrounds the subject of OSHA for HOME WORKERS. All I ask is to apply some common sense. Do we REALLY need the Federal government laying out policy for workers who sit in their underwear at home? Do we really?

I'm seriously done with you... because it's my CHOICE. My wife wants me to finish grilling, so we can eat dinner... toodles!
