I do believe that an advanced ancient civilization(s) did exist on this planet before but after reading the entire 52 pages of this thread, I am starting to have doubts.

I was initially in disagreement with Hanslune's "persistent" (sorry, can't think of a better word) debunking of blocula's posts but as I read on, blocula kept on repeating the same things over and over again without providing substantial facts and then simply state that he is psychic. He then went on repeating about some "royal bloodline elites", he really sounded like the dude in another forum who kept on raving about the "Sanskrit tradition", perhaps they are the actually the same person. Blocula's pessimism about annihilation is really disturbing and I certainly hope that he is just another nutcase on the Internet talking BS.

I now see Hanslune's point in trying to debunk all these. Anyway, just my thought about this topic. There is no right or wrong answer unless there is a time machine to bring back in time to see what actually happened.

Yes I could be considered 'persistent' but I would use the term 'determined'. Now that blocula has played the 'psychic' card we'll just have to wait until December 22, have a laugh and invite him back over to reality.

I'm always sadden when people fail to understand how long things 'linger' in the archaeological or geological record or how much crap civilizations and cultures produce. Example: if you were to magically removed all known ancient Egyptian materials from this planet. How long would it take a new archaeologists arriving in the Nile valley to determine there had been a civilzation there?

About twenty minutes - if he was unlucky and arrived at the Delta a few days - yep there is that much stuff under the soil just out of sight

Again 'common' in geological terms not human terms. Destruction when it comes hasn't destroyed advanced civilization (that we have found). I see little real planning for such an eventually within this generation of governments

2. No sign of any previous advanced civilization being destroyed, let alone 10, 100 or 1,000 of them, blocula is rather vague on that
3. No sign any elite, evil or not that 'knows' or plans to create a world wide destruction 'soon' or in December 2012

There are approximately 4,000 archaeological digs in progress, 10,000+ construction jobs and 5,000 or more looting digs underway - who keep track of all those so they don't find anything? lol

I think your thinking more along the lines of our "version" of "advanced"... they just took on a different route... What I'm trying to say is just becaues they wern't working with electricity doesn't mean they arn't advanced.

The earth is an astounding 3,500,000,000 years old.Modern humans have been in existence for about 200,000 years.The oldest pre-human skeletal remains ever found are around 4,000,000 years old.Which means theres an immense gap of about 3,496,000,000 years,an incredible amout of missing time that we know next to nothing about...
