Our technology now, if viewed 50 years ago would be considered miraculous.

If America is still here in 50 years I would consider that miraculous.

50 years ago I wonder how many people in the States were on food stamps (welfare) ?
Today its 53 million, but by golly you have 3000 bases throughout the world and a killer fleet of jets and Nuclear subs and aircraft carriers.
50 years ago almost everyone had a job and a place to live.
50 years ago was a good time to live and not worry about some asshat country trying to conquer the world piece by piece.

The combined intelligence of more than one billion people in China cannot match the US or the west in general.

Did you know Asians on average score higher than Caucasians in IQ tests....

How is that relevant to superior tech? Just curious.
Btw, I agree with everything you stated, I also find it disturbing.

Basing that as fact off of 5 people is naive and ignorant. But yes, East DO have Higher IQ's. Caucasoids aren't far behind But that is not relevant to the topic of the OP.

We should move all of our aid and Chinese jobs to India. Let's see what Pakistan and China do then.

I was answering to purplemer on his post.
It actually has a lot to do with this thread as in proof is in the pudding.
Asians are highly intelligent and not to be discarded as stupid and only able to copy stuff.
Come here to Canada and you will see many many Asians here and they are a part of our everyday life and they are human and they are very very smart people.
I think the topic was a US chopper was inspected by Asians.
Hence this is on topic and therefore I stand by my post.

Really??

50 years ago was 1961 - the russians were apparently ahead in the space race, thermonuclear war was thought highly likely - kids weer taught to duck under desks to protect themselves from nuclear explosions (a few years later they were still teaching that & I went through the tail end of it!).

the domino theory was in full force

So what was the USSR back then, if not "some asshat country trying to conquer the world piece by piece"??

I am one American who hopes we do have to close our oversea bases, mothball some of our fleet and bring our troops home. I also believe corporate America should be sanctioned to quit sending US manufacturing abroad. I think we should stop some of our world trade with other countries. I think we should beef up our border staff to keep illegal immigrants out of the US.

I am on board with your statements.

Stop US intervention, support, banking and trading abroad. Bring manufacturing back to the US. Bring our nukes, ships, hardware and troops home.

Develop alternate fuel and stop importing oil. Stop exporting almost everything to other countries.

I like this plan.

While you are it you should build a large brick and razor wire wall around the country and cut off all internet cables.

Did what happen then - the USSR conquering the world 1 nation at a time?

It certainly was happening then jsut as much as it is happening now - Cuba had just gone, Vietnam & Cambidia were on the way except you didn't know it yet, nicaragua, leftist revolts in Sth America & Africa were still in the future, the Berlin Wall had just gone up that year, the Arabs were still a few years off getting Soviet support vs Israel. the Korean war was only 8 years "old", the Malayan emergency was over for only 1 year & Suharto's butchery of 500,000+ chinese & communists was still 4 years in the future.

So yeah - it happened then just as much as it is happening now - moreso even - there were more countries involved in wars back then than just the handful now!

The problem for me here is that it is happening now but it is all in one place, namely the Middle East and Michael Ruppert called all of this before it happened.
How many bloody wars can you have in one area all backed by one country only in a matter of 10 years and not get suspicious?
How many conflicts right now is the United States involved in? Serious question that is.
It did not happen on the scale it is happening now, also with just one aggressor involved.
If you can't see just how destructive the States have been these past ten years or so you need to open those peepers a bit more.
War and more war to what end?
Invade Iraq.....oops they had nothing to do with 911.....oh well I guess we will just sit awhile on the porch here.

Well for me that smacks more of the USA's inability to mobilise local sentiment - the USSR was able to support movements in the America's, Africa, the Mid-east, Asia & Europe all at once, including a full-scale invasion of Afghanistan.....although that eventually drove them bankrupt of course....but that was 30 years in the future 50 years ago..... but much of it was on hte bakc of "popular" socialist movements.

Today there have been a few "popular" democratic movmeents in the Mid east & occasionally elsewhere....but the US/Europe seems quite clumsy in supporting them.

the USA struggles with 2 wars & supporting a couple of "client states" in the Mid-east.....and is simiarly looking economically quite vulnerable like the USSR was....and I wonder what it will all lolok like 30 years from now!

I dont' know what you need to be "suspicious" about - I have no trouble at all with understanding that the US being involved in the mid-east at the behest of "strategic interests" (oil, Saudi Arabia, Israel) & i dont' know of anyone who thinks otherwise - even rabid US suporters.

So it's hardly secret!

Your very honest with this post and quite frankly that shocked me a bit here.
So you know very well that the US is the aggressor here and yet you post on a thread where the aggressor losses a high tech chopper to a foreign country and bitch about it.
That chopper should never have been there period.
Thanks for the reply and your honest take on things.
Myself here I stand firm that the US has got to knock it off or we are in for a world of hurt here in North America.

It isn't like Pakistan loves the US or anything. The main question that I would like the answer to is was what left of the chopper after it was scuttled by Team 6? I would think that much of the intelligence value would be in the skin and shape of the craft, but it may have more value due to its electronics. I just can't decide, and would like to know that as well.
