Sounds like you need to take the chill pill. Mate, you have got to relax, for centuries people have concluded we were all doomed, and yet we are still here. There is no reason to fear monger people, if the world ends then we got nothing to worry about, if it doesnt end then we got nothing to worry about. Chill, and enjoy the ride.....

Your entire post is predicated on the fact that we have a lot of free will, and I don't think that is true.

@1 We can't free ourselves from our personal pain.
@2 We can't change the laws of nature.
@3 We can't select the family we are born to, or the time we live in.
@4 We can't change the nature of our physical body or its limits.
@5 We can't escape life's labor.
@6 We can't escape death.
@7 We can't change the past.
@8 We can't see the future.

What you basically are calling "free will" is a more like a choice of whether to pay our taxes or go to jail, in other words we sometimes have the ability to make obvious judgments about possible consequences. Sometimes we make risky choices, based upon faulty information or thought processes.

I don't think we have very much free will, actually, so there isn't much free will to figuratively "give back to God", is there?

In fact, it sounds like we should be asking God for a bit more free will than we currently have.

At page 35 of this discussion thread, this point may / should have already been made.

half actualy were angry bc they did not find the doom.

You do not understand the concept of "free will". I suggest you look it up in a dictionary.

Free will is the ability to choose and decide for yourself. So while free will encompasses things like what to wear in the morning, what schooling to take, who to marry, it does not involve things like as you say, changing the nature of your body or the laws of nature.

Why would they? By exerting your so called "free will" to change the nature of things, for example deciding that all people should breathe carbon dioxide to survive rather than oxygen, you changed this for all others. After all, you have "changed the laws of nature". At this same time, you have removed EVERYONE ELSES free will. After all, they did not decide they were on board with these sweeping changes you have enacted.

The laws of nature do not have to bend to your will to be "free". Your mixing things up. While yes, that would be the ultimate freedom, it is not necissary.

You want to act as a god, and if you cannot you have no free will? You dont want free will, you want omnipotence. BIG difference there my friend.

Now correct me if I'm wrong. But wasn't it the "forbidden fruit" from the "tree of knowledge" which gave us free will? And wasn't it the serpent who tempted us to eat and know the glory of such self-awareness? God knew that free-will would cause corruption within our being, it was outside the perfect, godly sphere of control know as the Garden of Eden. Thus we were banished.

After reading through the OP & the next 12 pages before I took a break, I can't lie i'm convinced. What I saw whilst on that break sealed the deal. More on that momentarily. I believe in God absolutedly & have known for a long time that it was a matter of succumbing (if that's the right word) to His will. For my own selfish reasons I never had, not completely anyway & that was my Free Will actually working against me. I do Love my fellow earthly inhabitants & understand that we're all in this together but cannot say that I don't sometimes make bad choices where myself & others are concerned. Some might say that's the beauty of Free Will but where's the beauty in anything bad really? Like many I was taught that Free Will was a gift from God. Have even argued the point sometimes but now.... I can see how it could be the cause of all our woes, past & present. It really has been staring us in the face all this time. Thankyou Brian, thankyou with all my heart as you have confirmed something that my soul already knew. I can only hope as you do that others heed your words as they are born of Love, I can see that. You must be of great importance in your world.

With regard to what I saw earlier, I can hardly believe it myself but here goes. After reading through the first 12 pages I went outside for a smoke & also to begin processing what i'd just read. I live in the UK, on a hill & it was maybe 9.30pm. The neighbourhood kids were still out, some adults too & you know, sometimes you get the feeling that somethings happening... something was. I don't want to get too deep into things out of respect for those concerned but I will say the kids are fine & as far as I know, so is the individual concerned. It was undeniable instant synchronicity though, no doubt in my mind. From me leaving my pc to what transpired took around 2 maybe 3 minutes. I was shown the way & i'm eternally grateful for your involvement in that. It also showed me that things on this world of ours are indeed speeding up.

Also, your tone or the way you come across my friend, is EXACTLY what's needed though I know you don't need me to tell you that. You have my support 100% & thankyou again, I now know what I must do.

My, oh my. I read this thread last night, and it has certainly grown wings!

I was letting my mind filter through this and other topics and had a thought. Perhaps, this is why suicide is considered one of the worst sins. Now I understand all sins are equal, yet there seems to be some serious no-nos behind this one. My reasoning is that in death we completely relinquish our free will. Our death is at the determination of God, but by taking our own life, we are exercising our free will over this last vestige of control. The last arena of faith, as it were.
Every other choice in life, there is a much more delicate line to follow between free will and God's will which is not always the easiest thing to see. Yet suicide has a very clear defining line.

Just my little contemplation.

Get exposed to enough radiation and you will suffer radiation poisoning. Get exposed to enough religious BS and you will suffer from biased pro-religion views. Religion only matters to you because of where you live and how you were raised. Its all so contradicting and ridiculous.
