Haha, you actually believe all of that? Hahahaha, really?

Ah, the mocking comment of the truly ignorant. It's like a mating call for bigots.

What evidence do you have to the contrary? Anything?

or maybe it's a hint that they should be allowed to have a place of worship where ever they want. They deserve freedom.

If Christians can have churches near abortion clinics where in history, "pro lifers" shot and killed doctors, why can't Muslims have a Mosque "near" Ground Zero?

Hypocrisy at it's finest!

There's a major road near where I live that has about 5 Christian churches, some on the same block as one another. Can we start limiting them? Think of the benefit from increasing the property tax base alone...these are in a NICE neighborhood on sprawling acreage.

You said:

Islam isn't a religion of peace, it's a death cult. It's really not complicated.

Oh yeah??

Cordoba, Spain from wiki:

It was captured in 711[3] by a Muslim army: in 716 it became a provincial capital, depending from the Caliphate of Damascus; in Arabic it was known as قرطبة (Qurṭuba).

In the 10th-11th centuries Córdoba was one of the most advanced cities in the world, as well as a great cultural, political, financial and economic centre.

Cordoba Initiative

The programs at Cordoba Initiative (CI) are designed to cultivate multi-cultural and multi-faith understanding across minds and borders. In the ten years since our founding, the necessity to strengthen the bridge between Islam and the West continues to prevail.

Cordoba House

The Muslims that governed southern Spain developed an inclusive administrative culture, and the face of public life was diverse. Christians served as administrators, governors and advisors to the Caliphs. Both Jews and Christians were able to practice their faiths with complete freedom and were granted the right to administer separate courts to uphold their biblical traditions and laws. The atmosphere of tolerance, inclusiveness and respect witnessed in Cordoba inspired erudition in the multiple religious traditions in Cordoba.

It is NOT a sign of conquering.

Deny Ignorance

Do you fear and hate the people that you claim suffer from "fear and hate?"

How are you going to convince 1 billion Muslims and Christians to "take the next step?" There are quite a few that live a life of fear and hate.

They can build a mosque wherever they'd like.

Just don't complain when it sets back the process of building peace, tolerance and understanding between disparate groups of people.

Protesting the Culture Center is as UnAmerican as you can get. If we want to progress in this country when it comes to peace and tolerance, we need to let an organized religious institution have it's place of worship.

Wow. If you could actually do a little math, ya know some 2+2 action then maybe you'd understand it isn't bigotry. That's why there is nobody asking to move the existing Mosque. It's not considered the WTC site. It's not the site initially promised to the Greek Orthodox church. The issue isn't with Muslims. The issue is respect for the dead. American Muslims are not idealogically compatible with middle eastern muslims. 1% support for terrorism here vs 50+% in the middle east. One block can also make a helluva difference. Religous freedom isn't the issue, poor taste and the hypocrisy of the Imam is. Everything he says he wants to do conflicts with what he's causing by putting it there.

YOur problem is you label everyone who objects to the Mosque a bigot. They aren't. Some merely think it's a dishonor to the innocent victims of 9/11. The problem is epople on either side have tunnel vision. It isn't a freedom of religion issue. If it was the GOC would take presidence. The Imam wants to implement Sharia Law in the US. By definition that is a political movement which removes it from the freedom of religion debate. Almost 60% of Americans object to itIs our government a ruling class or a group who governs?

Ill reply but only because your not gonna stop till someone acknowledges you.

Someone did say that The OCB had nothing to do with the guys religion (along them lines please go back and look)

And this us the USA not N. Ireland, Ireland,Japan Hiroshima Nagasaki, Canada,Scotland or any other place. Not M.East or any where. We have different laws so please compare within the US only to make your point.

The OCB was close but he was just pissed at the GOV. No religion killings there. As far as i know that is.
And im not saying your right or wrong and don't bother to reply i will most likely not come back to this post so i will not see it.

Thank you for your time.

How interesting. You want to limit and/or remove Christian churches, but not mosques. How predictable.

I'm very much against organized religion as a whole...but I don't believe anyone should be censored or limited when it comes to their religious beliefs. If someone wants to build a church, mosque or temple...let them. That's what America is truly about. Freedom.

HERP DERP ALREADY A MOSQUE THERE, THEREFORE IF YOU DISAGREE WITH THIS NEW ONE THEN YOU'RE A BIGOT.

God can you people be any more *SNIP*?

There's a ton of Mosques in New York, they certainly don't need to build one two blocks from ground zero. Especially in a building that was struck by debris during the attack. Not to mention in a commercial district where there isn't a large muslim population needing a place to worship.

Maybe they can spend that 100 million on helping the muslims being genocided in Africa instead. Or use some of it to try an help increase womens rights in muslim nations so they aren't *SNIP* stoned to death for being accused, not even convicted or proven, of adultery. Or to try and help the people of Iran who are stuck under the tyrannical rule of a madman, because their "leaders" used military snipers to shoot down innocent people protesting a crooked election. And even with the love of the west are about to be bombed to hell and back by those very people.

Oh but you don't care about that, they don't care about that. All they care about is planting a victory flag in a festering sore. In an area already overflowing with Mosques, and almost no muslim population needed for it.

No, no, you just keep thinking you're the best and most rightous.

*SNIP[/*

MOD EDIT: Lets keep it mildly civil. Cheers.

The little red spec you see to the lower left is the size of the proposed Islamic community center. Note, though, that there is no line of sight to or from ground zero.

Note, though, that bodies and debris crashed through the roof of the previous building in that place.

And they certainly don't need to worry about offending people about which building they chose to occupy given the fact that this is America.

Well fancy that could you imagine? Of all the events to come to light there already is a mosque near WTC. LOL so basically the spread of Islam is unstoppable. Islam the biggest religion and the fastest growing. LOL why fight the muslims? Was it the Koran that inspired the "terrorist" to bomb anything? Did Mohamed say that? Or was it the senseless killing of innocent lives in the middle east during a still on going occupation by a foreign government who preaches democracy and freedom but circumvents a democratic process and the freedom of choice to its host?

Criticize the source all you want, facts are facts....
Cordoba 1

The Cordoba Initiative has been funded by Malaysia and many other nations that are members of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, a coalition that aims to outlaw, everywhere in the world, any and all criticism of Islamic people, practices, legal codes, and governments. In April 2009, Rauf incorporated the Cordoba Initiative in New York. Three months later, he spent $4.58 million in cash to purchase Manhattan real estate at 45 Park Place, just 600 feet from Ground Zero, from the heirs to New York’s Pomerantz family. Rauf now plans to build a 13-story, $100 million mosque on that site – for the stated purpose of proving to the world that Islam is a peaceful faith. Rauf claims that New York Muslims furnished him with the money he used to purchase this real estate. But financial records show that in fiscal year 2009, his ASMA received large international donations totaling at least $1.3 million. The largest donation, $576,312, came from Qatar, whose government stands accused of funding international terrorism in Somalia, Ethiopia, and other parts of the Horn of Africa. For decades, Qatar has hosted Muslim Brotherhood spiritual chief Yusuf al-Qaradawi, a founding shareholder in the terror-financing al-Taqwa Bank, which is believed to have ties to al Qaeda and other Islamic terror networks. ASMA also received $481,942 from Holland’s Millennial Development Goals Fund; $144,752 from New York’s Carnegie Corporation; $53,664 from the United Nations Population Fund; plus additional donations from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and a number of the other foundations listed earlier in this report.

From CNN

bombers and fires incendiary rockets at civilian targets within Israel. It calls for the destruction of the Jewish state followed by the establishment of a potentially fundamentalist and repressive regime. Governments all over the world, including the United States and the European Union, rightfully consider Hamas to be a terrorist organization that willfully and indiscriminately targets innocent civilians. Yet Imam Rauf, after being asked this simple, straightforward question, refused to state whether or not he believed Hamas to be a terrorist organization. He said: "I will not allow anybody to put me in a position where I am seen by any party in the world as an adversary or as an enemy." Now Imam Rauf wants to build and lead a $100 million, 13-story community center and mosque. It would be constructed on property currently occupied by a historic 150-year-old building that was seriously damaged by the landing gear of one of the hijacked jetliners that flew into the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, and he wants to unveil it on September 11, 2011.

The Cordoba Initiative has reported less than $20,000 in assets. Where the $100 million for his project would come from is anybody's guess. Furthermore, it's fair to ask why, exactly, Imam Rauf has insisted on building the mosque so close to ground zero, and why he wants to unveil it on the 10th anniversary of the attacks. This not an issue of religious freedom, but rather, a question of safety and security. New Yorkers deserve to be safe and to feel safe, and we have a right to know who's footing the bill for Imam Rauf's project. Are foreign governments or other organizations involved? And why is there such secrecy about the source of the money?

I can do this all day

Islam is dominating but yet so is Christianity. Christian missionaries head to third world countries to spread the plague of God to those who are "lost" or "confused." If you ask me...it's disgusting what Christians have done to this world.

As for Muslims. They're just as bad. However, the extremists of Islam have created a false and horrible image of Islam itself.

Either way, organized religion is BS.
