Eel just passed in front of BOA 2...I find it funny that they care more about an eel and the occasional sea life than they do about "monitoring" stuff.

Isn't it odd that since the "success", we are suddenly seeing a parade of sea life? I watched it for so long and only saw an occasional crab.....now almost daily I am seeing it. Curious.....

Lots of oil blobs and methane bubbles on Ocean Intervention ROV 2...quite a bit at the moment.

after the cement started (9amEST) pic at 9:22amEST...
The others are post cement showing oil leak
from pipe & oil coming up from the floor. On the floor photo
camera was stationary & I saw that black plume slowly
build out of the floor then camera looked away.

LOL! That's what I get for posting before having my coffee...sorry! Great pics BTW....you know, the feeds and pics are so completely different from what they are saying....watching Thad at the press conferences reminds me of that chronic liar character on Saturday Night Live from years ago......."uh yeah.....THAT'S the ticket!"

The bubbles on Ocean Intervention ROV 2 suddenly look white/gray-ish. If this was "cement" they used on the well, what color was it? Because if these bubbles are the same color...then there could be problems...

Thad Allen was not comfortable in his delivery re
the cement seal...way on edge, kinda rushed,
facial expressions shifty eyes & etc...Like someone
having to get up in class & give an oral report that they
really don't want to do.

Why haven't we seen any close ups of the BOP post the
cementing job?? WE'RE WAITING!!

there's some questioning needed about this report...

but it does indicate that the BP & gov't misinformation about a successful top kill -Static well & the soon to be completed relief well at the bottom of the well shaft are both suspect.

That is a pressure gauge on the ROV, not the well/BOP.

Dragonfire already answered......but there was a little action a few minutes ago. Not sure what it was. It really bothers me to see all the bubbles. I saw a HUGE bubble a few minutes ago.

Anybody watching Skandi 2? It's showing a long distance shot of the 3 ram stack cap and it looks to me to be covered in methane hydrate buildups (the beehive type stuff). I can only get the feed to run a second or two at a time - 3 weeks ago Skandi worked as well as any of them for me - not anymore.

Following up to what justadood was questioning me about on the dynamic and static top kill, read this NY Times article. The link was posted previously in this thread (not by me) about 60 pages ago.

Interesting! But what I don't understand is....if they are looping to show only what they want us to see...why are they letting us see these explosions down there....and the leaks? The explosions are the main thing troubling me since I'm so close. Why wouldn't they hide that too?
