I see the 70 some page thread on here about the flotilla and most of it is just arguing back and forth about the event. Its a moot point. It has happened....now lets speculate on what the fall-out may be. Looks like things could get VERY interesting if Turkey does indeed send more flotillas but this time with armed escort.
Also i would think its a matter of time before the rockets of Hamas and Hezbollah begin flying. This could be it.......

Come on people lets think about this.
Maybe Israel should check the load on the ships and pass it over Palestine.
Simple isnt it.
Then any further loads are pre inspected by Israel
Bottom line is Palestine and any other person on earth desrves food and the basics in life.

First of all, wikipedia isn't the most reliable of sources. Using wikipedia for academic work is not allowed at universities/colleges. Guess why this is.
But what you could read in wikipedia isn't different to what I said. There is a difference between getting kicked out of a country/region and giving it to a certain country. Maybe you're from Turkish descent?

yup, get ready for response attacks. the middle east is a litteral powder keg and when something like this attack is over dramatized by the media, in context to what happens everyday around the world, there are militants just salivating because the world will feel sympathy for them as they launch rockets into israeli civilian neighborhoods. perfect propaganda and rationalization for comming attacks! (hint of sarcasm).
Over dramatized? The "media" was reporting from the deck of that ship with wounded people and scumbag IAF thugs firing on the non-combatant vessel in international waters. Where's the over dramatization? Screw Israel, I have no sympathy for them what-so-ever. Where do you get your news from anyway, Haartz? How about your history lessons???
So I guess you didnt see the video then?

Go head and tell me these where non combatants that isreal fired on? All they had to do was let isreal check for weapons. Instead They tried to rip the IDF soldiers apart with metal poles. One idf got thrown down to a mob on the 1st deck head first.
Let me ask you this question. Your government asks you to enforce a blockade wether you agree with it or not as a soldier you are going to do the mission, Imagine being asked to fast rope onto a boat to search for weapons and your fellow soldiers are being murdered are you gonna leave the safety on??? Not saying I agree with the Israeli govt but I would have done the same thing in their shoes!!! I dont care who tries to bash me I stand by that statement.

They have reportedly been given the choice between accepting deportation or to be tried in an Israeli court.
They told reporters the Israelis beat activists with clubs and used electric shocks, and said they heard shooting aboard the Turkish boat ahead of theirs.
“The ship turned into a lake of blood,” Nilufer Cetin told reporters. “We were aware of the possible danger; in joining the trip, but there are thousands of babies in Gaza. If we had reached Gaza we would have played with them and taken them food.”
The US Navy veteran
Joe Meadors, 63, of Texas, is a Navy veteran. His wife Jean said yesterday evening that she believed he was safe, “but I’d like to hear that from him.” She said his exact status, whether under arrest, detention or otherwise, was unclear.
Mr Meadors served aboard the U.S. Navy intelligence ship USS Liberty that was attacked by Israeli forces in 1967, killing 34 crew members. “He hasn’t had much luck with the Israelis,” his wife said.
Six Greeks, including a crew member, returning to Athens today told reporters that Israeli commandos boarded the boats in international waters about 80-90 mile off the Israeli coast.
The Journalists
Two Australian journalists and two other Australian womere were being detained in Be’ersheva detention centre and their safety had been confirmed, Australian officials said. An Australian man on board the ship underwent surgery after being shot in the leg.

1000% agreed , If my neighbor blocked my house I would be pissed. I would be even more upset if my other neighboroffered to help then was killed doing it.
I am neutral on the whole Religion thing. So my thinking seems to be clearer then others on this. I do know the Jews we're hurt badly by the Nazi's. Saying this maybe they should remember what that felt like before acting almost the same way to the other Middle East countries.

Yeah, I seen the video and a bunch more and I will tell you this, those soldiers were engaged in illegal activity and they deserved everything they got and then some. There is a point when "just following orders" isn't gonna fly and it's mentalities like yours that enable oligarchies to continue their little chess games while the plebs put themselves in harms way due to the perverted notion of patriotism and of course a meager paycheck. That all being said, maybe you should go review your history before you come to the defense of Israel. Remember the U.S.S. Liberty?? Oh that's right, they were just following orders then as well...

I definitely agree. We don't know what it's like to be Israel surrounded by a bunch of loons who all hate them and have stated before that they want them blown off the map, yet people still like to come here and spew uneducated rhetoric behind the safety of their computers about how Israel is the big bully in the land.
Put your self in Israel's shoes people.

Star for you. Amazing (and truly sad) how the people here on ATS always choose to ignore the facts and truth about what really goes on, all the while calling the Israelis terrorists and stating they only want war. It's the other way around people.
I have been a follower of ATS a couple years before I became an active poster. It seems conspiracy hungry jew haters have taken over the boards here.
What ever happened to being analytical and looking at the facts? Honestly that's why I do not post as often as I used to. Its a shame people are so biased as to throw a country that's innocent under the bus. I'm not saying Israel doesn't do some nasty things, but its not like its without provocation although many of you make it look that way.
Its nice to see some objective thinkers and you sir deserve a star for looking at the facts along with the poster that posted the video.
