So NASA may start looking for alien life out there...yawn....Someone should let them in on a little known secret....SETI has been doing this since 1963!

I said this a while ago when NASA started making statements about the possible existence of alien life lately. NASA is pushing in this direction in my opinion because they know a lot of their programs are on the budgetary chopping block. They are looking for as much and any public support they can get. Hence the sudden change of face about this subject in my opinion.

I don't trust NASA execs.

Agree.

If so NASA is dead.

I'll wait for the cliff notes version. I have already grown tired of the mundane, technical talk ***yawn***

When I say "nothing to see here"...it's an understatement.

Yeah its so boring and he problem is that this guys suffer the "telescope effect" they cannot see thing in their noses they are looking only why they can grasp in 10billions km away.

I thought it was interesting about the way they are trying to look for fossils and organic matter in deposits from old oceans. Apparently there are vast deposits on Mars, its interesting they found this out by going to the Mediterranean and finding fossils of microbial life in the same deposits except on earth

This is hardly boring, its nice to hear it come out of their mouths they are looking at Europa and Titan, and actually discussing missions on the table. Finding the soft spots in the ice oceans on Europa with Radar...I find this very interesting.

Have you hear of the "sea monkeys??" this is NOT a new discovery. You can go to Toys R us and buy your own little guys that were in latent live for billions of years. Add water and there you go.

Here comes the Hawkins question!

Edit:

And ended with someone stating that we have been sending radio signals out for decades. They pretty much danced around it

Nasa Guy: "Meet Ted, the alien"

It's great to know they are looking for fossil's and microbial life on Mars.
lots of us have been scanning huge pictures from the mars rovers for exactly this for a while.
