That was a heck of an opening post. A tad angst-filled for my taste though.
Yet it seems relevant to add that the media is part and parcel of this explosion of awareness of unrest. It sells.
I think there are more important matters to consider, such as the events shaping the policies of those we mostly agree wrongly think of themselves as
"enlightened leaders."
Civil war is not the act which is called for in the circumstances befalling us now. I think the proper term would be revolution. It's a scary
leap... but a necessary one if the purpose is to remain unfettered by political showmanship and extraneous baggage added by those who lust for
attention.
There is a time when we must all recognize that it is WE who must take action - as individuals. Not as a mob, which is too easy to fall prey to
agent-provocateurs, not as a 'cell' which can be ignorantly 'used' against their own cause, not as a club, or even a group of friends. WE must
hold true to what we know is the Republic which will never die. Tyrant after tyrant has contrived ways to overcome her and we remain, as Morpheus
said... "We are still here!"
Resistance is an act of awareness. The ignorant reduce it to folly.
I would say that these kinds of events when taken as a collection are alarming and telling of the social knee-jerk reaction to mounting control. The
control is necessary to enable the inevitable exploitation of the controlled, and thus we are ruled.
I say passive peaceful non-compliant resistance is the morale high-ground...
of course, the FEMA camps would sure fill up quick, wouldn't they?
