Start with the simple stuff like washing your hands when out, and getting extra tinned food in, If the spread really hits then at least you wont have to keep going out for food unless you have to,

A state lawmaker says Arizona's first confirmed case of swine flu was in a child from Maricopa County.
Rep. Kyrsten Sinema said Arizona Department of Health Services officials made the disclosure during a tour lawmakers took of the state laboratory in Phoenix on Wednesday morning.
Health Services officials haven't released that information publicly.
They plan a news conference at 1:30 p.m. after the patient and their family is told of the positive test.

Stock up on Ramen noodle soup. It's about 10 cents and the only time it taste ok is when you are sick. One trick I found that makes it better is adding a little soy sauce.

I just heard an interview on the radio with an infectious disease specialist/scientist. He was saying that the media is blowing this out of proportion and that at this point this thing is no worse then a regular seasonal flu, even less so.
He actually made a joke and said maybe we should rename this
the Y2K flu. Hinting that this is a big scare for nothing. He also said the only people who should worry about wearing masks are health professionals in the hospital setting. They are useless to the average person. Just wash your hands alot.
I mean this guy was really playing this down, making jokes about travel bans and checkpoints etc.
