I needed a good laugh today.

I will figure something out soon and post.

I try to have one good laugh every day, our 15yo daughter sometimes makes that hard but laughing is good for the ills of today. So here is your giggle for today.


IF MY BODY WERE A CAR

If my body were a car, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model. I've got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish and my paint job is getting dull, but that's not the worst of it.

My fenders are too wide to be considered stylish. They were once as sleek as a little MG; now they look more like an old Chrysler.

My seat cushions have split open at the seams. My seats are sagging. Seat belts? I gave up all belts when Krispy Cremes opened a shop in my neighborhood.!

Air bag's? Forget it. The only bags I have these days are under my eyes. Not counting the saddlebags, of course.

I have soooooo many miles on my odometer. Sure, I've been many places and seen many things, but when's the last time an appraiser factored life experiences against depreciation?

My headlights are out of focus and it's especially hard to see things far away.

My traction is not as graceful as it once was. I slip and slide and skid and bump into things even in the best of weather.

My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins.

It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed and it's far too easy to coast in neutral.

My fuel rate burns inefficiently.

But here's the worst of it -almost every time I sneeze, cough or sputter..... either my radiator leaks or my exhaust backfires!

Awwww, I miss all the fun...

Anyway, I'm just kicking back waiting to post but what I've got just doesn't feel right. Maybe I'll stay on Ship after all and not go traipsing around looking for CindyMars. It isn't like I don't have tons to on Ship...

Thanks - I can't believe how different they look here compared to in my Adobe program. But, no matter - they'll do for a example...

Anyway, I'm going to be using the pics for *Wanted Poster* kind of things.
(Silo's going to be on a Revenge trip. Not necessarily now in the story, but on going...)

Excellent posts, and EXCELLENT pics, y'all!

I'll try to thrash a post together in the next couple of days, to keep in the flow of things.

I've been scouring the web for 3d models to render, and have been keeping an eye out for Space Opera models to use. I ran into a bunch of figures, but so far only have collected one for Deson ( I think I have to add another pair of legs in the middle of the body, but it's otherwise a dead ringer) and One for Cim that I re-skinned to make blue today. Can't post any pics of it yet, as I've not figured out how to dress it yet in this infernal software.

Okay, one picture. A head shot, to keep it pg-13. this is a screen capture from the Anim8or software that I'm tinkering with at the moment:

It may all be for naught, unless I can figure out a software package that I can dress the model in ( I think I might be able to get it done with one of the other ones I've got), and then figure out how to bend the model into poses. Looking like it's frozen in mid-jumping jack just ain't right.

The rendering is the easy part. I can drop it into the middle of a jungle, a desert, or pretty much any other terrain combination with Terragen. I snagged a hallway with a pair of cabin rooms attached to it this evening, and found a couple other possibilities for models for Cim, but so far nothing for Silo (you have to admit, she's pretty unique - that's gonna be tough) or neno. I fount a White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, but that just don't seem right for the Professor Rabbit currently riding herd on the Penelope crew.

I'm assuming that character is human, but I'm not really sure if that was ever explicitly stated. I'm equally sure that a rabbit in tux and tophat simply won't do.

Anyhow, back to the grind, now, trying to get SOMETHING done with this software!

How cool is that!
All I've been able to come up with is what you've seen - stills or photos or whatever. This 3-D thing is fantastic! How cool is that... Is it tough to use?

Edit to Add: Ya know, I was re-reading what you wrote. Lil ol Silo is not so much different than a humanoid, especially since she can hide those extra eyes of hers at will under her rather lilac colored hair, so, don't forget my-3d!

I've got a ton a questions to ask you about Chumley's actions in the battle and President Bransom, P.B for short.

I'm going to rout out Deez, (leave the rest of that plot up to tomorrows post), but from there I'll need to chat you up a bit about the actions of the above listed.

In fact, I think there's a VICTORY diner to be planned...or something such...
At least the breaking out of some Regalian Ale and pretzels for the triumphant(s) return???
