It's a matter of believing his words (and those of others who claimed to speak only what God had told them). Faith, pure and simple.

Funny thing is, the Old Testament has a lot to say about his second coming, as well as his first. Seeing as they accurately predicted hundreds of details about his birth, life, death and resurrection the first time round, it rather encourages a second look at what they said about the second appearance...

Yes I am actively here on ATS to stop the lies and the wars and the BS lies that have been told about Christ. The world is capable of being a peaceful place. It's a shame you do not see that.

What would a son of a God rather prefer?

Someone who blindly believes in written texts and words of people, claiming to have better knowledge of what is meant by those words?

Or,

someone who can think for himself, questions everything that comes upon his path. Tries to understand his surroundings without some text written by men(!).

As a son of god I would be greatly disappointed in the ones who after thousands of years still blindly believe in what someone else tells him.

It's a children's game.

How do you know this person isn’t as sincere as can be?

What great wisdom or enlightenment do you have that grants you the ability to see into his/her post (soul) and know anything?

As for Jesus coming soon?
It's a tough one.
Every generation's been so sure Christ was going to come again in their lifetime.
Maybe this generation will get lucky, who knows.
Personally I'd like to see *us* (collective world) straighten itself out before hand instead of waiting for Christ to do it, but, that's just me.
