Hahah yeah sorry man.... thats a spotlight on the clouds.. you even said it was 'circling' your garden. They put up spotlights every single night over Toronto, like 5 of them, just for show. That's exactly what it looks like..
I mean unless this thing had lazor beams coming out of it, did it do anything else?

ATS members should be ashamed of themselves.

I've been here a long time and this has to be the worst case of e-lynching I've ever seen.

DO YOU WANT PEOPLE TO COME TO ATS AS A PLACE TO SHARE THEIR VIDEOS/PHOTOS/STORYS?

Or do you want to run anyone that registers here out of town? If the membership keeps abusing new posters with a claim like this, word will spread, and by the time someone does capture the footage of the century, they will pass ATS up without a thought because of the pack of rabid posters waiting to tear them to pieces.

Here is a great quote from dreams n chains that explains very well the horrible mentality ATS has developed against new posters recently.

He will even if he has a great video of a UFO with the aliens waving as they pass. This is ATS. He'll be placed on global ignore by a moderator, banned and the thread shut.... based on what I've seen since I've been here.

Here are some excellent examples of unwarranted attacks posted even after the OP provided fair reason for the delay in the evidence:

Check it out!

It's the same old thing. This is not our first rodeo!

Unbelievable........... He never even posted one crappy lo res pic and hes got 3 pages of Replies....... WTF ATS?

Blatant attention seeking would be the first thing that comes to my mind.

I'm not going to come back to this thread to see whatever pics are posted.
We've all seen this type of thing before.

It seems like every Friday, one of these hoaxsters comes out of the woods to describe some amazing sighting they've experienced and wishes to show the world

Bye hoaxer!

Seriously people. Put yourselves in their shoes. Not every new poster with a story to tell that comes here is a hoaxer. Yes, we've been hoaxed before and we will be again, but you can't punish innocent people like this just because of past experiences.

Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? The way this poster was treated makes me sick. I've lost huge respect for many members on this topic.

I genuinely don't think the OP is a hoaxer. I'm in Huddersfield so not far away from Manchester. I think it's a projector of some sort. I've seen exactly the same thing. Same movement, colour, everything.

It DOES look really strange at first and had me and my hubby convinced it was something out of the ordinary. We watched it for almost an hour! Then the clouds changed and I noticed that there was a beam from the ground projecting this onto the sky.

If the clouds had stayed in the same position the OP would possibly not have noticed the beam. We also have the helicopter coming over quite often so if it was cloudy he wouldn't have seen either the helicopter nor the beam, so it would be easy to assume the noise was coming from the light.

I feel a bit sorry for him to be honest as I think people have jumped on him and all he was doing is saying what he saw. I don't think he is out to try and fool anyone.

I'm not ashamed of myself at all.

This thread was a waist of time, just as we all predicted.

If you've been on ATS for a long time then you would know that every thread like this has ended up in the same way...
Oh, im too tired to post the pics right now...
Oh, I need to find the old pics my dad hid away in our old storage container in Alaska...
Oh, I need to wait til next month when my bro comes into town to upload them...
ALL of these turn out to be nothing.

Do I want people coming to ATS?
Sure, but how many people are going to come when threads like these are on the front page huh?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, dont flag these types of threads or pay them any attention until you see the pics or videos they claim to have.

PS. you claim he is a new member, yet he had 3,000 points before this thread blew up so... can't be that new.

Points are very easily to come by, you can join twitter and ask for 5,000 points for no reason. Don't judge a members points on how new they are. A lot of people get banned here that are long time members, change their ip and start a new account.

Didn't the OP say he was done here? I read it in this thread but now it is gone. Probably edited out.

Anyway...

...Goodbye....please go and take this nonsense of a thread with you.

Sorry for the harshness, just my opinion!

I don't even bother to post on this forum anymore - I can't beleive the amount of stick OP has taken.

I thought you were meant to have open minds.

It's no wonder that people don't take you seriously when you come accross as a bunch of facists who can't spot a hoax from someone who really does think they have experienced something strange.

Remember what the definition of UFO is.

It's not as if he said there's space ship flying in his garden!!!!!!!!!

Grow up you losers.

I don't think anyone was really calling him a hoaxer, at least I hope not.. This guy was just hopeful but it turned out to be not an alien craft!
This is what ATS is here for.. you post what you think, we debunk/share ideas.. no hate here.. all the haters need to leave.
If he had posted the pictures in the original post though a LOT of this could have been avoided....
This just goes to show how to learn from your mistakes...

Edit: Wow 10 pages...

considering on a blurred camera it is surprisingly good footage, and at least someone has put up proof of sighting (although i have to admit i saw a strange possible ufo and did not have a camera to hand) still it is not possible to make out the exact nature of the object, and with so mmany hoaxes nothing can be taken for granted

It reminds me of premier spot lights shining on the low clouds.

I saw this post last night and he said he would post more tomorrow and he did, internos then gave him a hand with putting up material and that should have been all that happend. Instead people started flaming him without any evidence and being very ignorant, if you feel he doesn't deserve the points from the post then don't post that way he doesn't get any points. Its pretty simple.

I withheld from posting till he had something up and he did and congrats to the guy, maybe he was duped or mistaken but that isn't something you can hold against him. Internos did a fantastic quick analysis of the photos unlike others who just slated them and that's how it should be here but unfortunately it isn't at the moment. I don't think all that rubbish about 14/10 helped either, I always stay out of those threads until there is some evidence like it actually happening (which it didn't surprise surprise).

If everyone in ATS could be a little more patient and take things with a pinch of salt I think things would be a lot friendlier around here, my first post went really well (no-one kicked up a stink) but one of more recent posts kicked up a little stink and I fully understand how it feels for someone to say you're wrong and what you think means nothing. Fortunately I took a lot out of the thread (which was on climate change) and saw something from a completely different angle which I think ATS is all about, when its good here it is really really good but when its bad its just rotten.

interesting footage, however I saw something similar in Derby, but came to the conclusion it was those laser things they have outside nightclubs, i know your thinking "where's the beam", but i saw the same thing but due to it being a cloudy night all i could see was a blur of light moving around in the sky but in the same motion for several hours on end, sort of like what I'm seeing here. But come to think of it i only saw it as a one off not every weekend when the club opens which is approx 2 miles away.

Its the two pronged attack of the Anti Tesla Free Energy UFO
Conspiracy that put up mostly flaky UFO material (they can't
put up real UFO material but they will attack it) and then attack
and ridicule the material and poster, thus making real UFO posters
shy away from posting interesting photos.

Still you will get a serious comments on how UFOs don't exist
as an aircraft Alien or man made because it a photo or image
problem.

The ATFEUC may not exist but it makes a funny way of looking at
how forum reactions evolve.

Things don't add up, he said he opened this thread to "discuss" if this had happened to anyone else. LOOK AT THE THREAD NAME!!!! NO DISCUSSION WORDS THERE, JUST CIRCLING UFO IN MY GARDEN.

Secondly, he says it is his friends camera, but when questioned about the date stamp on the pics he says "I only use it for taking pictures" or something similar. THIS IS A BAD HOAXER. Well not bad in the sense that its a fishing rod, line and trash can lid.

So stop flaming the flamers who are flaming raging that this garnered so many replies.

Buy into all the rubbish you want, but question me for questioning someone else and I'll flame you!

From your post:

yeah thats what it looked like a spotlight! But it was the way it moved around and it had a kind of 3D characteristic coming out of the clouds which lead me to believe it being a UFO, there were alot of people outside my estate looking and pointing at it and people on the streets. I took a picture of it with the flash on and it picked up a slight physical form of the UFO in a corner of the photo.

It had a blueish glow to it and hummed very softly but loudly like it was vibrating or something.

I don't think i picked it up with the sound because there were little kids playing around and it is a rubbish camera to begin with. But watching it back on the camera now i have got some realy good footage!

p.s it hadn't been just circling the area i was in. I asked someone who had been following it and he had said something about it appearing on a hill near a park a couple of miles away.

Perhaps it was a cloudy night... this is the UK.. not the kind of
light for the fire balloon debunkers.

I think we had enough of them.
Profile attacks are mounting.
Debukers are needed as the growing number of UFO flights go errant.

UFO to headquarters...we got one stuck in the sky again..
monitor ATS to calm down the crowd.

It isn't about 'believing' anything.

I agree it is only spotlights on clouds, an all-too-easy misidentification to make.

What this is about is courtesy and manners. If you want to call HOAX, at least wait until there is something to call it on. If someone posts a preliminary story with a 'photos etc. will be uploaded by tomorrow', give them that day. Let themselves either prove their story with the evidence or disappear off the radar if those photos never appear.

What difference does giving that poster a days grace make? A member could join these forums with a video of aliens in their bedroom and wish to share it with us. They sign up and post their story, with a note that their computer knowledge is limited and they are working on getting the video online.

This video could be the find of the century, but within the 24 hours the OP is away finding a friend / relative to help them upload the video, a firestorm of abuse appears on the topic. They come back, see the result, and choose not to share their find with us because of how they have been treated.

Unlikely scenario? Hows about the OP in this thread? Even though their video turned out to be explainable, they posted themselves that after the abuse they took that they would refrain from ever posting a video again.

So please think before you post. I'm not religious but this saying does have merit: Do unto others as you would have done unto you.
