No one, although you did say: To all you haters.

Seeing that there are only two admitted cop haters on this thread, is it that illogical to assume that it was directed at the likes of me?

On second thought, you are right, it must be my "chosis"...or one of the many.

Well it was never directed specifically at you. If you however, choose to associate yourself, that is your affair and none of mine.

Good luck with that...

I never said it was.

But, it does seem like you are backing off of your filth, no?

You know as well as I do that there are only two people on this thread that have had the balls to admit that they hate cops.

Please tell me, who else were the "haters" on this thread that you were alluding to then?

Its not about having balls or not, it just that most people dont hate officers, they may be annoyed sometimes when they are caught and they may be afraid when they know they are doing something wrong, but hate?

Pheonix,

Have you read the thread?

I have...

The thread answers your question quite nicely...

How many "Balls" does it take to sit at home and ridicule someone that is actually out doing something?

Nice

You're right, it doesn't take balls to spout off shiz on the internet, and you are also correct to bring into question my use of the word hate.

To this I say:

Has all colloquial speech been lost via the internet? When someone says "I am starving", does that mean that they are a step away from death due to malnutrition, or is it a colloquial use of the term?

When I say that I hate cops, does that mean that I have a burning issue with them that causes me to loose sleep at night, or is it just another way of saying that I really, really, really dislike them?

I guess you can be the judge.

Like I told you in my first reply, I am not going to indulge you, and give you a list of what I feel I do for my community.

I will give you one thing though...I pay the salary of the likes of you (self professed man of violence), and if that isn't enough, then I don't know what to tell you.

Along those lines of thought, Hate is of course subjective.

I personally do not feel I have ever hated anyone; but that is a personality trait based on my sociological and familial background...

In a ether setting, one can only interpret the sentiments of another based on their words, and of course that is also subject to the same factors...

On both parties

yes I am a self professed man of violence....

That is who I am...

If you do not live in South Carolina, you do not pay my salary...

And at my current 33% tax base, I pay more of it that most others...

I believe that I said I pay the likes of you.

Admittedly, no, I do not live in SC, however, I am sure that my taxes pay the salaries of plenty of "men of violence" in my own state.

Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to degrade you for being a man of violence. My only qualm is with my tax dollars paying for the likes of you, and your "holier than thou" attitude in regards to what you do for a living.

And I am sure you pay a lot of taxes...

If you don't like the system, why don't you leave?

It really would not hurt anyones feelings that I know of if you left...

Most of the real Americans I know don't want the likes of you around anyway.

I imagine I could take up a collection and help with the plane fair to France or Venezuela. I am sure you would fit in there nicely..

You really are so dissatisfied, I bet you would be much happier and more fulfilled..

ps.

It is not Holier than thou, when it is a fact.

Because it awakens some guilt complex deep within you does not make it untrue.

Semper, I am only dissatisfied with the current state of our legal system. Other than that, I think the US is great, despite all the petty nonsense about slavery and genocide, etc, etc.

As for the rest of your slop, sorry, no guilt complex here. Of interest to me though is your inferiority complex that seems to drive you to publicly proclaim your civic virtue, all the while questioning others as if they do nothing.

Look,

I despise the legal system as well..

Probably for entirely different reasons, but the sentiment is the same.

I spend hours going over some perverts laptop, required by law to personally view all the child porn he has collected in 3 years and then watch him walk out of court because AOL or MSN was not fast enough in answering the subpoena..

No, I seriously doubt that at times like that there is another human alive that hates the system more than me.

But one can not change a system by sitting on the sidelines and complaining about how bad it is. My Granny taught me that. So I have devoted my life to changing the system and not complaining about it.

I traveled extensively in the Corps and in my opinion, after 7 countries and 3 continents, (And various Islands) we have the finest system in the world. Perfect? NO. Yet perfection is of course not possible...

Do some Cops abuse the system? Of course they do. Are there prejudice Cops? Well Yes! Of course.

Still the vast majority, and I have served in three states, are there because they genuinely want to help. They truly feel they can make a difference.

The funny thing is, I never started out that way. After the Marines, I found myself an adrenaline junkie and this was the profession that offered the most release of that wonderful natural drug. It was the people that changed me. That's right, the citizens in the projects that I lived with, worked with and came to love for 20 years.

So perhaps you have a grudge or whatever against my profession, that is fine.

As always, if you call, we will come running...

If it wasn`t for poor eye sight in my left eye,I probably would have been a police officer many years ago.Though the older I get I wonder more and more that maybe it would not sit right with me,say for instance I may have to enforce a law I disagree with or disagree with the treatment handed out by other police officers etc...

I hate abuse of power where ever it is,so if police officers abuse their position then I`ll hate that.Biases will always get in the way in positions of power.

Can you say you believe in what you are told to do and enforce 100% ? or (with no disrespect) carry out the orders like an unquestioning obedient soldier regardless if you disagree. It seemed from your original post you have already developed a bit of an" us and them" mentality without accepting some people may have very good reasons to dislike police through their experiences with them.

Would it seem fair if I started a thread with the topic "all Cops hate citizens"? how would that sound to you.

We get the show Cops here in Australia and yes you guys have a hard job,but I`ve seen many times on that show instances of pure abuse and violence by the police.Though in most cases its understandable when so many people carry weapons and what not over there.

But thats the point of a lot of police officers grief in the hatred complaint imo because it seems all people are treated as if they are a threat to your lives, where most people are not a threat to you at all.

Australia is getting worse, well its so much worse than when I was young anyway,so I can only imagine in years to come our society will become more like yours today (police included) and thats a worry.

Not everyone respects all Lawyers or politicians etc for maybe very good reasons self included.

I hope your a good Cop for as long as you continue with the job and if in time it seems the majority dislikes police in general it maybe because even law abiding citizens rights are being abused by the government and which are enforced by the police,so no need to take it to personally if that happens.

All the best.

For the record - I have nothing against Officers. But I've had my share with some men in uniform who absolutely terrify me.

I have suffered from dissociative fugues for almost a decade, and a few times concerned citizens have alerted the local police to my situation.

During these fugues, I am passive and compliant to all orders given - non violent - but kind of in a childlike state. My official diagnosis is schizoaffective disorder. I experience elective mutism during these episodes, and on one occassion, the officer who first responded to the call scared the living daylights out of me with his aggressive introduction.

Now, these officers in question are few and far between, and there is nothing more relieving than seeing backups called in who are able to look me in the eyes and handle the situation with grace, dignity and respect.

Semper - you strike me as the kind of officer I would be relieved to see on duty when I'm going through these trials. Calm, composed and a humanitarian at heart. I don't think you would write me off as inhuman just because of a disability.

There should be more men like you on the force. Thanks a million for what you've dedicated your life to. I know it must be rough sometimes, but stay strong.

Some of us really appreciate guys like you in the service.

In another thread, cops were referred to as "slop-eating pigs". I may be wrong, but I think that was the catalyst for this thread.

What "filth" are you talking about?

And you call it "balls", typing into cyberspace that you hate cops? A ten year old girl could do that.

What is a fact? That you are a man of violence...not unlike truth?

truthceeca does it because he is a little boy who abuses women. Semper does it because his job requires him to be violent at times.

It matters not as that was a discussion between Semper and myself, and I am sure he knew what I meant.

Why don't you bother to read th epost after that, besides, do you think I keep my hatred of cops reserved for the internet?

You can't say what truth does as you do not know him, and to judge him based off of 9 words or so is ignorant at best.

And your statement about Semper is a half truth as he has already admitted that he got involved with the police specifically for the violence and the adrenaline fix that it offers.

Keep placing him on that pedestal though.
