This was supposed to last ~30 days??

Didn't HUNT or someone say something along the lines of "just wait" about the difficulty of the question and how "just entering the URL" was easy compared to whats to come? Or did I miss understand something?

grok seems to mean a human being becomeing part of something. In wikopedia it says to merge. You know something so well it becomes part of you.

This may be nothing, but some of the past clues were from science fiction mediums. One was from the film The Day the Earth Stood Still published in 1951. Another was from the novel Stranger In a Strange land published in 1961. Could there be a pattern here?
