Talk more of the ice age you feel is coming. Why do you feel this? What effect does the Tsunami have on this year's weather. I am honestly clueless

Oh, and my husband says we will get a dusting and to not get my hopes up. The kids already have their sleds ready.... They will be disappointed if we don't get snow

Tsunamis are a result of undersea earthquakes (in the vast majority of cases). They are not affected by the weather, and are in no way responsible for any weather.

I'll let l0rds talk about why he feels an ice age is coming...

Me, I have no clue (despite doing several research papers on the subject)....
There's so many questions, and really so little answers. Are we done recovering from the last ice age? How much do humans really have an affect on our environment if they have one at all? etc.

you like to argue dont you thatsweird

1st off usually tsunamis dont have an effect on weather until....
it knocks the earth 1/4 inch off it's axis....

now this thread is about the storm... i u2u you about ur question man..

(from NOAA):
"THE HEAVIEST SNOW SHOULD FALL LATE SATURDAY NIGHT INTO MIDDAY SUNDAY. IT IS VERY POSSIBLE THAT SNOWFALL RATES WILL REACH 3 INCHES PER HOUR AT TIMES ALONG WITH A FEW RUMBLES OF THUNDER NOT OUT OF THE QUESTION. GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS MAY CREATE AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WITH POOR VISIBILITY.

NEAR BLIZZARD CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE IN THE HARTFORD... WORCESTER...BOSTON AND PROVIDENCE AREAS DURING THE HEIGHT OF THIS STORM."

3in/hr...FRIKIN AWESOME
lightening and hunder during winter storms means they are really strong, ive only seen it twice in my life (blizzard of 96 and march storm of '93)
i'm not saying lightening during a winter storm isnt usual, bc i dont know, i just know ive only seen it twice, and both storms were wicked.

and l0rds, looks like NOAA is using the dreaded "b-word" which you used DAYS ago.
way to be right man!

I remember the thunder snow of March 1993. My husband and I ran around at 4 am out in it. Never seen thunder snow before. It was too cool. Almost surreal.

Hope to see it again

dude i'm done arguing with you, you think you are a know it all yet i just proved you wrong and if i have too i will put up 500 links to pages that state that the earth was knocked off its axis....

you think you are a know it all yet really everything you have said has been wrong....

I think i remember someone saying "It's way too early to tell"

yea looks to me like there is going to be a blizzard on the east coast as well....

Just quit... your making me sick dude

What's the Dilly Josh? You seriously are acting childish and just because there is a snowstorm about to hit the coast does not mean that you created it or was the first to forecast it.
I follow the weather every day and there was stations reporting the possibility of a storm as early as Monday, and when did you start this thread, Wednesday? So it was being tossed around two days prior to your start of this thread. And I don't see anywhere where anyone was arguing with you so maybe you should start acting like the professional that you would someday like to be when you grow up instead of an arrogant little kid. Give some respect to others and some will come your way as well.

Seriously man, what is your problem. I'm on your side. I sent u2us as not to publicly embarass you.

you think you are a know it all yet really everything you have said has been wrong....

I think i remember someone saying "It's way too early to tell"

You obviously haven't been in this biz long...
1. Name the things I was wrong about

2. It WAS too early to tell. NOTHING is set in stone, especially not the weather. There were so many factors that could have came in place. There was strong likelyhood that there would be a big snowstorm AND I SAID THAT. Many times. It was just way too early to be more specific.

yea looks to me like there is going to be a blizzard on the east coast as well....

Yep, and I can't wait!

Just quit... your making me sick dude

Quit what? I haven't disagreed with a word you said, except for the tsunami thing.
I do this for a living kid. I've been studying the weather probably since you were in diapers. The forcasts you say you have access to. Who do you think makes those forcasts?

A foodfight over the weather.

IWAS THE FIRST....

Very sunny and cold here in Cape Fear,...I mean Cod.

*I hope i dont lose my power again....* :shk:

i don't know what WEIRD is picking a fight over the axis issue-
it's a documented fact, although I am sure it is debatable as to its' ultimate
meterological effect...

all that should be noted here on this thread is very very simple-

LORD was able to see a major storm coming BEFORE Accu-Weather or NOAA-
I know because I checked around right when he first posted...

That means he is a gifted meteorlogist,
a brilliant analyst of all things geological-
in short, a Genius Of The Jet Stream.

I think we should all give him his props and LISTEN to whatever he has to say
about the present and future states of weather in America- the man is talented.

Side note- why choose a name, LordOfC, that is connected with 4 teen murderers?

Perhaps you are using it as another reference? Is it a band name as well or something?

I ask only because someone as smart as you deserves a name that reflects his
gifts, in my humble opinion, rather than evoking a dark group of killers-
but hey, that's a minor item compared to your skills.

Ever think about working for NOAA and makin' big bucks
predictin' hurricanes?

Seriously- reading radar sweeps like you did is more of an art than a science-
you cannot teach what you just did- it's a born gift-
evidenced by the ongoing inaccuracy of local and even national forecasting.

Keep it up, Lord!

(Maybe December 2012 will realy just be a heck of a snowstorm)

T. Patrick

oh so now you make weather models ok... i have heard it all.....
ok then explain this.. is it going to snow in coshocton, county in ohio????
which is in NE central ohio.... cause every storm totals map i have seen says no.... but i guarantee it does..... my forecaster here on tv is calling for over 6 inches for us and he is the only one... so whats it going to do.
