They haven't managed to make a successful vaccine for corona virus since they first discovered it in the 60s, if anyone thinks they're going to miraculously make one now are somewhat deluding themselves.

Yes it paints a rather bleak picture I'm afraid old chap, I don't know why but I'm picturing skits from dad's army thinking about this mess.

"Don't panic, Mr Mainwaring!"

Actually it probably is a good time to start panicking a wee bit, if a totalitarian one party state is something to be afraid of.

Update May 21, 2020 Thursday Tokyo time : 10 pm

1. In Ecuador’s Guayas province, there have been 10,000 more deaths than normal since the start of March, an increase of more than 300 per cent.

1.2 London has seen overall deaths more than double, and New York City’s total death numbers since mid March are more than four times the norm.

2. Coronavirus has spread to all 50 states in the US. More than 1.52m cases and 85,900 deaths have been confirmed in the country.

3. Amazonas has 2160 cases and 185 deaths. Mass graves now being dug. Amazon's health system has collapsed

4. Chinese and western analysts said that watching Europe and US struggle to contain the epidemic had helped convince Beijing that it would eclipse America as a global power. It is a result of the conviction of their rising power versus a west in decline. Wake up American's . Quit eating them Pringles. TV is brain washing you that it great to be sexually disoriented. Not good people. I see it here on Japanese TV also. Men dressed as women on prime time TV. Not good at all.

5. An update on the deaths.

6. US Daily Cumulative Totals - 4 pm ET
Date States Tracked New Tests Positive Negative Pos + Neg Pending Deaths Total Tests
Tue May 19 2020 56 413,804 1,542,309 11,105,482 12,647,791 2,973 87,472 12,647,791

7. For those in Illinois: (Rock Island county )
Rock Island, Illinois

600 (+6 yesterday) confirmed cases
12% growth over the past week (+62)
Died 21 (+0 yesterday)
24% growth over the past week (+4)

8. Illinios: A relatively high percentage (11%) of COVID tests were positive, which indicates that testing in Illinois is limited, meaning that most cases may go undetected. Identifying and isolating new cases can help contain COVID without resorting to lockdowns.

I think China's numbers would be a lot higher if they ever released the real numbers.
But now they are too busy trying to take the world with the medias help by being portrayed as having been in control from the beginning.

Maybe this is why the UK does not publish its recovered and active figures? It would make sense.
I have said from the beginning of this outbreak as did many others that people would be left with reduced lung capacity which means other systems of the body would also be impacted. So no surprise that the Dr in this article says the 'recovery' symptoms resemble CFS/ME.

Reading this just re-affirms my thinking that this virus is not just a c virus but a c virus plus (what the plus is who knows but the CCP do). Have always thought that the Chinese are/would be a problem for our planet and a threat to humanity.

Fascinating article! I think for some/many Covid will have life long effects On their health.

Also with these effects being so similar to the enigmatic condition ME I think it’s a no brainier that ME suffers should be surveyed and tested for an inciting viral condition that instigated their ME.

Could be it be possible (as I’ve asked here previously) that Covid has in fact been around in the west since the 80s/90s and what we have now is an advanced strain.

For the tin-foil hatters (which I enjoy donning myself on occasion) who still think the virus is man made, then perhaps it’s something that’s been in development since the 80s and ME was the result of clandestine trials on people without their knowledge. The purpose? Perhaps population control; make us an ever more docile and manageable slave cast. Not so far fetched if you consider the now public record work the US did on their own people in the 50s-70s with widespread prescription drugs in tandem with advertising:

SARS-CoV-2 is well adapted for humans. What does this mean for re-emergence?

In a side-by-side comparison of evolutionary dynamics between the 2019/2020 SARS-CoV-2 and the 2003 SARS-CoV, we were surprised to find that SARS-CoV-2 resembles SARS-CoV in the late phase of the 2003 epidemic after SARS-CoV had developed several advantageous adaptations for human transmission. Our observations suggest that by the time SARS-CoV-2 was first detected in late 2019, it was already pre-adapted to human transmission to an extent similar to late epidemic SARS-CoV.

This is an interesting paper that is throwing up a lot of controversy and discrediting theories of natural evolution from another species. Basically it looks at how SARS evolved as it jumped from the intermediary of civets and evolved to adapt to humans over time. It then compares this to how SARS-CoV2 has evolved from its emergence. It shows that SARS-CoV2 is missing an adaptive stage as the virus leaves one species and adapts to another.

SARS-CoV versus SARS-CoV2: Rate of Change (Chan Lab Preprint) -- Special Report -- J.C. ON A BIKE

J C on a Bike does a great job in explaining and discussing the paper and its implications.

I appreciate the update, but Amazon never had a 'health system' at all.

The drug US President Donald Trump said he was taking to ward off Covid-19 actually increases the risk of patients with the disease dying from it, a study in the Lancet has found.
