Small towns are not immune; they are probably microcosms of the problem. I live in a town of less than 200,000 and, trust me, it has its share of such problems per capita.

I grabbed the still picture below from this Epstein's Zorro Ranch video:

1) Note the chess piece above the door - a pawn! All kinds double entendres on porn.

2) Look at the carving of the door... does it not look like dripping blood?

Shrieking heard from Jeffrey Epstein's jail cell the morning he died

On the morning of Jeffrey Epstein's death there was shouting and shrieking from his jail cell, a source familiar with the situation told CBS News. Corrections officers attempted to revive him while saying "breathe, Epstein, breathe."

Congress is the latest to start investigating Epstein's apparent suicide over the weekend, with new reports raising questions about the federal jail where he was being held. One of Epstein's guards at the Metropolitan Correctional Center on the night he died was reportedly not a regular corrections officer.

Around 200,000 is a big ass city. Mega problems. I prefer small towns under 2500 or even less than 500. Even those get a share of excitement once in a great while. Recall "No Country for Old Men."

They won't make anywhere near the money though. Regular cops in big cities make twice or sometimes even three times the money a small town police chief makes. It's a trade-off in some respects.

“Maxwell and Epstein were accused of molesting two victims in 1996 but the claims -- allegedly reported to the FBI -- fell on deaf ears, according to an affidavit viewed by the Miami Herald.”

My point is that in a very small town you are more intimately connected to its citizens. It's a completely different working environment.

Spent three-quarters of my career in a small town, population 10k now. Started there at 8k. We had issues with meth, but we had a very good rapport with the citizenry.

On any given day there are 50 - 60 movie and tv productions taking place in NYC. The pic on the gurney could easily have been one of them, imo.

The standard of living in a small town is lower, unless you live in a state like Colorado, which is financially absurd.

You may make a bit less, but it goes just as far or farther than in the big cities.
