What is Taqiyya? In several Quranic passages as well as the example of Muhammad, Muslims are encouraged to deceive non-Muslims when it will help protect Islam. It is known as the principle of "taqiyya" or "religious deception." This is less surprising if you first understand that in mainstream Islamic teachings, the world is divided into "the house of Islam" and "the house of war." That is, part of the world is Islamic and the other part has yet to brought into the light with Allah's holy law (Sharia).

And there it is, the last gasp of a failed liberal argument. I am not afraid. Regardless of your need to believe I am to make your pathetic point seem viable. Sorry, but I am not afraid.
Nothing about my post is uninformed. In fact, it takes a critical lack of information to not understand as you are clearly demonstrating. One of the main reasons I am not afraid is the simple fact that I do understand it. Knowledge is a powerful tool. I pray that some day you can experience its wonders.

Clearly you are scared as you believe an entire religion of over a billion people wants you dead or forcibly converted.
Frankly I don't know how you sleep at night. Quite a sad case really.

That is the most basic tenet of islam - convert of destroy. Seriously, you don't know that? You have no right discussing this subject at all until you seriously educate yourself.

It is a numbers game isn't it? If 10% were extremist then we are talking 100 million... In many countries over there I would not last very long, you can blame it on whatever but it is reality. The other reality is the Middle East is a very different cultures that see women, children, infidels, laws, crimes/non-crimes, sexuality etc much differently than what we view in the west, and much of that different view is very extremist to our views.

Yes the culture in middle east is very different and in many cases and in many ways much worse than ours.
That doesn't mean all muslims think/act/believe exactly the same as Vroom appears to think.

Please, educate yourself.
You can stop trying to convince people I am afraid. It isn't working and its a lame argument.
You are denying the most commonly known fact about islam because it isn't convenient for you to admit the truth.
But hey, you will always have blissfully ignorant to fall back on. So theres that.
