Everyone is entitled to their opinion 😁. Mother nature has been biting back for eons , so I’m not sure how much man has to do with it, though I’m not entirely convinced they don’t. I think the amount of electromagnetics in our air spaces may have an impact... but I also think we may be on the brink of experiencing something apocalyptic.

Time will tell.. I’m not here to argue.. just stating an opinion, much as you have.

Then again; nature does have corrective tendencies. Ie: Too many mice ? A plague follows.

Humans are not similar to other animals we share the planet with.

IMHO, a thong cannot taste any worse than a fungus. Over my dead body is the only place you'll find a fungus near me. Bleuchhh!

ETA And one of the more expensive ones is apparently called a #-Ake, I kid you not. I bet I can guess what it grows on.

I just wanted drop in an say that I have enjoyed keeping up with the Shed postings lately and part of the reason I logged into ATS for the first time. I have been content just reading all the stuff that ATS has to offer for a very long time and am glad to be here.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

The basic ecology of the planet remained (essentially) unchanged for hundreds of thousands of years before humans created the industrial revolution, over-population, mass agriculture, fossil fuels, deforestation, CFC's, pesticides, pollution etc

We've killed off more species in the last 200 years than were lost ever before.

I think it's safe to say that man has a lot to do with it.

The first shed post was indeed made by jacygirl, but that thread was the child of previous threads which brought us together.
The very first one was a Valentines Day thread started by Angelchemuel (Jane).
A bunch of like-minded souls met there and started sharing jokes and stories, which evolved into collaborative fantasy story-telling. The valentines thread got shut down (because valentines ha passed) and we started a new thread so we could keep on chatting and writing.
The Shed was a place we wrote about in the early stories. it was where the girls "lived", next to the main Rainbow coloured house where most of the original tales were based. Over time, the shed came to represent us more than the main house and when we finally settled down (after threats of closure because we didn't fit in any one category of thread) Jacy opened "The Shed".
The rest, as they say, is history!

Hello Trucker! So happy that you decided to join in rather than lurk! I see Gordi answered your question about how the Shed came into existence. We have been around now for 4 years. I always leave the doors open and the lights on for all who wish to enter.
