What? I've seen a bunch of comments in this thread saying "it was just a joke, he was a comedian that's what they do".

It's almost as bad as the "she didn't intend to destroy the hard drives" excuse.

Yes, comedians joke about sexual assault. Puritans, sjws, feminists, and now Republicans condemn them for it.

The skit was disgusting, even Rob looked turned off by it

It's not a joke when you actually do it. You can try to apply whatever retarded labels you want to people. You're the one defending a douche bag forcibly shoving his tongue in someones mouth. Congratulations!

Including an admission of wrongdoing on his behalf for the forced kissing.

Where is Franken admitting the forced kissing?

Picture this if you will.

"Sir do you know why I pulled you over?"

"No officer."

"You were doing 90 MPH going in the wrong direction and you're clearly intoxicated."

"I'm sorry officer I'm a comedian. It was clearly just a bad joke."

"Oh, wow! This is embarrassing, I didn't realize you're a funny man. Please accept my sincerest apologies for the inconvenience"

Yeah.
I wonder why Bill Cosby didn't go for the "I'm a Funny Guy" defense.

Because he drugged 20 some odd women and raped them.

Admitted to drugging one in a 2005 deposition.

Al Frankin took a picture with his hand mostly hovering over a flack vest filled with steel plates.

You're condemning a man as guilty based on one claim, and without his day in court. Pats on the back for you.

Says Franken harassed her too.

mediaequalizer.com...

I'm sorry, but that's the lamest thing I've read in regards to the recent plight of harassment claims.

She's upset that Al Franken called her house 3 times (her account, not mine), to argue. Like she was apart of an ongoing Jerky Boys skit? That's honestly probably the least hostile thing I've heard someone issue a statement over in my life.

He harassed her by calling her several times at home. The fact that he was so aggressive, bordering on stalking, is scary.

The producer should never have given out her phone number. That's a clear violation.

Yes because calling someone up and having an argument is now world-wide condemnable offense.

And yes, while we are at it, lets' ruin this producer who provided contact information. He is just as bad as a pedophile for giving a phone number to a colleague.

Holy crap folks.

find your sense of reason.

I promise the alternative, while comfortable and convenient now will hurt you in the long run.

Think folks!

Where I worked it was a company violation to give out phone numbers. The producer should've been reprimanded.

This lady felt threatened and said he was aggressive.

No, this wasn't sexual harrassment, I'll give you that. But harassment all the same.

Holy Jeezus. How the eff can he be the most reasonable person on this thread???

LOGIC matters!!!

Frankin is an ass, but he isn't groping anyone in that picture.

Let me guess... we should give him the benefit of the doubt...

Tweeden came forward Thursday, publishing her account of how Franken repeatedly tried to rehearse a kiss with her, and when he did, he stuck his tongue into her mouth without asking. He later took a picture in a military aircraft grinning with his hands over her breasts as she slept

I see a man that thought he was so cute and funny by exploiting a pretty woman who probably rejected him, like she claims. He showed her and soothed his bruised ego.

I am thinking she deserves the benefit of the doubt, not him. If not for that photo...I would probably give it to him.

Correct on passage one, which makes him an ass-hole, not a groper.

On passage two..benefit of the doubt for what? She is not claiming some broad accusation. I believe what she claimed.

She was not even of aware until she saw the picture. Her recollection of the "groping" ENTIRELY consists of the image you are looking at.

The most reasonable person is the woman who was photographed. Because her opinion is all that matters. She was working with Franken and he crossed a line....while she was sleeping.

My advice is that no one tries anything like this with a coworker...unless you want to be fired or sued.

Yes the alternative like claiming definitively that morre tried to rape a 14 year old based solely on accusations.

Oh, like you just did!

His denials REALLY sucked with Hannity..

Uhhh..Not without parents permission?
uhhhh...Dating 15 year olds would not have been my "usual behavior"?

The effen guy is a pedophile.
You know it, I know it...the population of his entire hometown complete with being banned from the mall knows it..no one needs a jury trial to spot the super creep.

Torn indeed. I by no means justify his tasteless actions, joke or otherwise, by her careers choices. Even a prostitute can be a victim of sexual abuse. Its just the timing that's really getting to me. Not to discount the situation, but it seems like an attempt to cash in on the now everyday sexual misconduct scandals -- based on the timing of this alone.

Sadly, we're going to see more and more of these come to light, and more and more careers ruined. Its not the first time, nor will it be the last, that someone is going to make up claims of sexual misconduct. If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong, and ill gladly admit to it, but my instinct is telling me that this case in particular isnt what it seems.

I'm not a fan of making this a partisan or political issue at all. Just because a politician is involved doesnt mean its political. I hate that people make the Trump case political. Neither Franken or Trump were politicians at the time these stupid things happened, and I wish people would separate the politics from these cases and accusations. Political labels are irrelevant in my eyes. Neither side or the aisle is immune to d-bags identifying with their party.

I agree he crossed a professional line. What he did was stupid, ugly, and disrespectful. What it isn't, however, is an example of groping and breast grabbing, as claimed by this reasonable person.

“I respect women. I don't respect men who don't"

He's not "disrespecting" her by trying to argue with her about budget numbers, nor is it even contextually the same thing as what that quote is referencing.

Is there something wrong with you?

I'm pretty sure I'm ok, thanks.

Is stalking a person you had an arguement with a respectful behavior?

Is badgering the producer to give you someone's home number who you argued with, respectful behavior?
That she happened to be a women is rather inconsequential to the facts, of him being a vindictive personality.

Inventing BS from you?

Not interesting, rather usual.

Yep, you know hes guilty.

Gotcha.

What was that bad alternative you were discussing?

A world where people proclaimed guilt just by accusation.

Oh again, like you are doing.

But that's your opinion. I do believe his fingers are grazing her chest.

If I weigh the evidence...a picture of his smirking mug over her with his hands over her breasts....I think it is MOST reasonable to assume he was touching her chest in the picture and if not...before or after it was taken.

He set himself up for that.

Crossed a line? Hell yes.
Worthy of consequence, professional or otherwise? Sure.

Groping and Sexual assault and/or Rape?
NONE of the above.

Bad, perhaps bitter, perhaps edgy, definitely stupid, humor. Let the consequences come, but let them come for what it is.
