Thank you for that response. I just heard the latest poll that 72% of Americans feel that Donald Trump is right and the NFL is wrong.

NASCAR on Monday released a statement calling respect for the national anthem a "hallmark" of its events while adding that people have a right to express themselves.
...
Former NASCAR champion Richard Petty told the AP that any member of his team would be fired if they chose to protest the national anthem.

Kinda doubt there will be many knees at a race in order to test people's reactions.

Well let's be fair. Polls can be garbage.
We will have to see the ratings and the reactions Of the NFL and teams to get a better picture of what most people think of this issue.

That's a pretty dumb point. Or lack of.
If your boss is out there with you why would you get fired. Ps
As an employer which would be worse a guy protesting people get treated fairly or we should get rid of jews, blacks, catholics, Latinos etc....
You kind of limit your employee base.

So apparently DirecTV is offering refunds on Sunday Ticket for fans that are fed up with the kneeling during the anthem.
They wouldn't be doing that if it was just a handful of people.
If you still think it's having no impact on ratings you're lying to yourself.

It means enough people called to cancel and rather than wasting their time arguing they made an easy out policy.
Not surprised, personally.

That's precisely my point. A large company like that wouldn't make a policy change if it was just a few people here and there.
The myth that it's not affecting the NFL's ratings is busted.

As well they should. If the NFL wants to negatively impact their profits to practice politics on Sunday, that's their right as a private organization. But other companies that are involved with them have a say too. They probably have ways out of contracts if they think the NFL is knowingly damaging their image.
