Well of course we do. That way if we travel a bit too far from the shed we don't have to talk to ourselves. Everyone knows that. lol

😕... I'm not sure what to say to cheer your lonesome blues. There is a haunting loniless that can enter into a persons life that can be very hard on the soul .

Your wise words are cheer enough, reminding me of who I truly am. The presence of that "haunting loneliness" has for decades been an indication that I lack something within my self. No "Other" can fill that void.

I am single and alone much of the time ( by choice ) . I have come to prefer solitude and the sweet calm of being alone . I do enjoy spending time with family members

I am semi-single. You stated so kindly how you prefer solitude.
I prefer my own company to people who are alien to me.

I'm not one for small talk in social settings , and I pick up way too easily on what people are really thinking and it makes me want to shout at some 😕.

I kill small talk in seconds, I read body language, phonetic tones in voices, and 'undress" people as fast as they can try to put there masks back on. LOL
Most people find it comforting that I can "read" them. But some become extremely aggressive.

I love living alone and coming here to my cozy " just me " home.
I guess what I'm trying to say is ... look at all the pluses of being alone .. and maybe you will see solitude as more of a gift that comes with tranquility and a freedom of doing whatever you want in your home.

Wise words that I relate to, that I have aspired to for decades.
But at times, as in the past days it gets lonely. I would like to share my plus-thousand books, my odd collections, my thoughts and dreams. My me.

Sometimes I get lonely WIS ,and I sit back and thank the Lord that I am blessed to be able to have peaceful solitude.

You are spot on, if we can't tolerate our own company how can we ever truly engage with others?

At times when I come in here as now all I need is a hug.

There are many hugs to be had here in the shed for you... and I can see why. Your honesty ,good heartedness , wit and humour are an asset to the shed. I am enjoying getting to know you ,as others have , and I too want to offer a hug whenever you may need one .

I love pink, but would like it in silk or satin or velvet or whatever in a dress or nighty.
Now that I think about it, I have a pink sweater. Actually it is more magenta I think.
