Wait - votes can abstain? That ain't right. They are leaving votes on the table and not representing someone's primary votes.

Don't they all have to vote according to the percentages in the primaries?

At least, on the first vote?

I want to make sure I understand this ... you guys are excited because Trump is leading in delegates at this Convention?

You're surprised by this?

It's just a fun process, that's all.

Seems a bit like shooting fish in a barrel, but okay.

My feed is spotty ... has anyone seen ANY delegates go to anyone else?

Cruz has about 40 - at this rate Trump will go over 2000

Thanks. :

Only in some states, some are all or none.

Right ... but, according to the last measure I looked at ... Trump had one about 40% Cruz and Rubio were down in the 20s.

I guess we'll see. Moot point now I guess.

The GOP is overriding even the bound delegates. In DC, there were 9 for Kasich and 10 for Rubio. ALL bound. The GOP gave all 19 to Trump. This is your new GOP under Trump.

Authoritarian.

That is according to the rules.
The will of the voters.
The delegates should not get to override bound delegates, that is the rule.

Not true - I believe the announcer made an error and then the actual votes were read out.

This is on topic. It's at the RNC that we've witnessed this highlighted focus on Law and Order, and Make America Safe Again. It's at the RNC that we've heard speakers amping the fear of murder on the street. It's at the RNC that we've heard the Milwaukee Sheriff declare Blue Lives Matter to thunderous applause. We see this push to empower police. Trump's already indicated we need to get tough, he's open to torture, and fighting dirty... he's even quoted dictators and praised Saddam Hussein.

So the question... No red flags at all with "Law and Order", "Make America Safe Again"? I want to know how someone with eyes wide open, can have zero concern for this kind of rhetoric.

That ain't right at all. Talk about getting the shaft as a voter. And people have the gall to bitch about Democrats doing this?

Ahhhh everyone is so sore that the RNC is getting behind Trump.

Seems the narrative of a split party is getting BUSTED

Okay ... Illinois read out the whole list of delegates.

I guess democracy is secure (for the moment).

(Thanks UK for the link, much better feed.)

Except that is not what happened ... geez.
All delegates are going according to bound rules and according to vote of the people.
Stop jumping to conclusions.
This is just a formality - UNLESS someone tries something... but very late to do so now.
