I got loads of fortitude, just not much skill!!!

ON the contrary, I find your writing to be some of the most apt and well-formed here. Of course, I disagree with your premises, conclusions and quite often, all your arguments ... but that's neither here nor there.

Seriously, beg pardon if you took offense. I really was trying to keep us all on target, you, me all of us. I almost went off on Bush's war crimes the next post after I said we shouldn't talk about Obama like we had Bush. LOL.

Anyway.

Every day I see another leftist spouting off crybaby opinions, the closer I am to voting for Trump. I hate the system. I hate Republicans and Democrats. I cannot stand any of the mainstream candidates. Every time I see another progressive crap talking Trump, the closer I am to casting my vote.

I am not kidding, I am a hair away from throwing a protest vote to Trump just because of all of these leftist crybabies.

I think it's funny how all these mamby pamby wimps are so against protecting the border. If you really want to argue against Trump, at least use one of his policy points to debate. Arbitrarily throwing out "racism" claims and other baseless accusations does not tell anyone why they shouldn't vote for him.

EXAMPLE: Trump supports the patriot act, and that's why I won't vote for him.

Wasn't that easy crybabies?

So, getting back to it ... I felt like the OPs intended topic was whether this laundry list of complaints signed off on by these writers (most of whom, I have to admit I have Never Heard Of) was a valid condemnation of Mr. Trump.

On the con side ...

I found most of their comments to be bombastic and overwrought. If anyone knows what Mr. Trump is about, it's the American people. He didn't just show up here yesterday or last fall. He's been a part of our culture for decades.

And agree with his politics, his adeptness at formulating policy statements on the fly, what have you ... Mr. Trump couldn't stir up any violent feelings in the American people that weren't already there! (Same with Bernie "Bros").

The real ISSUE there that needs to be considered BY ALL OF US ... is why the American people are constantly on edge.

I haven't seen anything like this since the 1970s.

Comparing Trump to dictators of one brand and other is also, already, getting pretty tired. If Obama has done anything, he's proven that the Presidency has drastically changed in the last few decades.

Trump isn't going to do anything more dramatic than Obama has done, and despite the favored rhetoric on both sides ... that's not an awful lot, considering.

Anyway ...

But why Trump ... if you're neither left nor right?

How does that make logical sense?

(And what's with the "mamby pamby" trend lately, LOL)

You are one scary dude. Do you know history, at all? To protect our country we have had to go to war-or we'd be speaking Russian, Japanese etc.... The reality is it ain't pretty. Is it moral? Yeah, to protect American citizens. And as for wars around the world? That's really off topic. With opposing senses of morality and war and the killing of innocents? It's always gonna be them or us. Much more complex, I know but it's the basis on which we protect ourselves. We did feel safe with Reagan and the Bush's; who made mistakes but I have been terrified with Obama and Hillary was awful not even paying attention to her own computer. No, I want the world to respect us again and be fearless. Hillary is a criminal. Trump has a brash, loudmouth attitude; but I don't want Socialist Bernie. Sorry, can't even question of these 3 who would support and protect us more than the brash, woman-hating (the professional sense) than Trump.

Small tangent, quick answer: Trump is a "professional woman hater"? What's that?

Because it wouldn't piss of the skinny jean nancy boys if I voted for Hillary now would it?

Or, maybe I identify with him. Maybe I am sick of people calling others racist when they are clearly not, just because they are white. Maybe I am sick of the leftist idea that because I am white I owe something to someone else. Every time someone calls Trump a racist, it just reminds me of another "white people are racist" article, video, comment, protest, whatever.

I am sick of it, and so is everyone else.

I was going to let this slide.

But that crap absolutely has to be called out.

Pay attention to the next video.

Real close because it has your current vice president two secretaries of STATE one of might be the next potus.

I guess ole Hollywood missed it.

Er nope they didn't.

Don't you mean CONGRESSIONAL 'war crimes'.

After all.

Iraq war resolution

So WHAT 'war crimes' are you referring to?

Oh my. I didn't know that skinny jeans were the leftist nancy boy uniform ... I'm way out of style there.

If you identify with Trump, vote for him! That's the American way. Back him up 100%. Take no prisoners.

Fight for your right to (Republican) Party.

I define myself as a leftist, but that means something different than is usually assumed around here. I think everyone of us is a little racist (or a lot) and so ... who cares what people call you?

I'm called abnormal, perverted, unnatural, deviant, etc. for a lot less that affects other people than my political views. Heck yes you get tired of it ... but ... in the end, it's just words. They don't define you.

I understand what you're saying about the near universal damnation of White people at times. At the same time, I do see actual racist BS being propagated every day. By all "sides" of the issues.

Anyway, question asked, question answered. Thanks.

How about you help stay on topic?

Now, you may have a point about intellectuals ...

To whom was this snark aimed?

Stay on topic? LOL.

It's not "snark" it's an observation.

Do you know anyone we would normally tag culturally as an intellectual who is supporting Trump?

Let us in on it!

Not for anything, but what do "intellectuals" actually do?

Stefan Molyneux for one, maybe, he's a canadian atheist too.

That's a good comment. I was actually drawing more attention to the irony of "intellectuals" in any modern cultural context.

Molyneux is an intellectual? LOL, Okay.

I said "maybe".

He is a philosopher. (shrug)

So if I am wrong, fill me in on what an intellectual does so I can get a ballpark idea where to look for them.

My point is ... I don't know. LOL

My "intellectual" is your "dumb-butt" ... and vice-versa.

And the implication, humorous or otherwise, that all intellectuals are Left is absurd: case in point (for those who remember him) William F Buckley.

I actually wanted to punch Norman Mailer in the face too, more than once, LOL.

I don't identify with Republicans. I identify being a white man in a PC SJW Leftist dominated culture, constantly being demonized based on my skin and not my character.

I will be voting Libertarian, as long as I don't accidentally read another one of Willtell's comments.

I did not state that very well. Trump's treatment of women is poor. He cheated on his first two wives, as is well documented but it also appears that professionally he does not treat women as equally as men employees. He calls the women employees "the girls" and with the exception of his daughter, he doesn't seem to promote or pay equally.

Chic-fil-a for dinner.

Meatloaf, mashed and gravy, roast turkey, stuffing and cran sauce. Mac an cheese.

Good ol comfort food from the USA.

If we had done that first instead of blowing up the middle east, it might have worked actually.

That halal stuff and goat head curry will drive ya nuts!

Oh yeah, those two.

I used to read mailer's stuff in playboy.

Buckley had a column in the paper I used to read, too.

I love celebrities who think I give a damn about their opinions!

They are authors.. hardly celebrities. The thing is, great many writers are actually quite intelligent, and to disregard their opinion because they create literature is ridiculous. I can only guess you don't give a damn about anyone's opinion other than your own? How does the opinion of a sandwich maker in a deli merit in NYC merit greater consideration (or less) than an author?

It has nothing to do with being liberal or famous. I think they are just smart enough to realize that Trump is bully and a loudmouth, a womanizer, and has an alarming lack of knowledge in foreign affairs. Not to mention the tact and finesse of a bull in a china shop. Look at the foreign angst and worry at his proclamations, this early in the campaign. If you want to think they are simply worried that the U.S. is going to start demanding to "be paid" for their help once he takes office, you are sadly mistaken.

Unfortunately, many Americans are mistaking his bravado, ego, brashness, bullying and lies as him being "different" (which is true, but this doesn't mean it's a good thing), having "balls" and guts. If he makes office, many will soon realize the truth of things.

And many authors simply recognize this. To disregard intelligent discourse because someone doesn't hold your belief system is ridiculous. Also it gets stale to have the "liberal" statement tossed into the ring on a constant basis, when someone dares question the intelligence, foreign acumen, or morals of a candidate.
