Thanks George W Bush for going after Iraq while letting North Korea get real WMD,s.

On 12 February 2013, North Korean state media announced it had conducted an underground nuclear test, its third in seven years

Hmmmmm.....Let me see, who was the President most of that time? Clinton? No, no it wasn't him.....Maybe Bush? No......wasn't him either. Who is that guy? Right on the tip of my tongue...It's the same one who just handed Iran a ridiculous nuclear deal...........It'll come to me.

To save yourself from embarrassment, you might want to double check your partisan bs before you start mouthing off. President George W. Bush was in office in 2006, correct?
The first Nuclear test conducted by North Korea was in 2006, correct?

Bush was in power when North Korea became a nuclear threat to the world.

But hey, don't let facts and reality distort your desperate need to bash Obama at every pathetic opportunity, we all know facts don't usually stop you guys from ranting about that "evil black Muslamic socialist with no birth certificate" right? lol

Why would Bush need to attack NK ? Clinton negotiated a great deal to prevent NK from developing nuclear weapons....

Well that deal obviously failed.

North Korea should never have been allowed nukes.

I have the utmost confidence such deals with Iran will be just as effective as North Korea's...

Iran do not have nukes YET.

If they do develop them and break the treaty I hope we go in full belt before they build a arsenal like we should have done North Korea.

Or would you just forgo diplomacy and start ANOTHER ME war on a country that does not currently have WMD'?

May as well give the deal a chance before we start another war.

North Korea didn't have nuclear weapons at the same point in their negotiations either....

Me? Why are you pinning this on me ? You're the one screaming to murder and assault the northern korea peninsula, while lambasting the exact same action elsewhere.

The only difference I can see that would have you voicing such opposite extremes, would be the party of the person deciding to do it.

EDIT: As to Iraq, for a country that didn't have WMD, they sure have a lot of concreted bunkers containing precursors, delivery ssytems, pre-mixed loads, etc.. etc.. Please feel free to google the concern over ISIS getting their hands on those allegedly non-existant stock piles. I suggest starting with the new York times, they have a lovely article discussing ISIS capturing the non-existant stockpiles.

The seeds of this conflict were started long ago. Hard to say when, but the biggest seed must be the 38th parallel established at the end of WWII. That's when the Soviet Union attacked Japan in Korea and, by agreement with the US, stayed north of the 38th parallel. The US took the southern portion. The Korean war started a few years later when the DPRK attacked the south and the UN, led by the US, responded. China got involved with the North, alongside Russia, but were thwarted. An armistice was signed and the 38th parallel remained the division line until today.

The problem is generations of youth in both the south and north have been divided idealogically. And there's a tremendous wealth difference. I can't place exactly why/how the wealth difference exists, but google says the population in the south was double of the north in 1960. I also know hte capital city of Korea was Seoul and that's in the south. I also strongly suspect the wealth difference between the US and the former Soviet Union plays a role, given both have aided their Korean "friends".

I think another large seed in this conflict is the fact conflict has existed on the Korean peninsula for a long time. Before the US it was Japan. And the Russian Empire was involved, trying to take Korea from the Empire of Japan. And before that Korea was the ownership of the Qing dynasty, suffering repeated invasions of chinese troops in the 17th century until it was defeated. China held sway in Korea until Japan invaded.

Why'd the Chinese and Japanese and Russians want Korea? Expanionism, mostly, I think. For Russia they wnated a warm-water port. And each wanted to OWN Korea, as opposed to merely being a bystander.

EDIT: The Russian Empire tried to negotiate the 39th parallel as a division between north/south with the Empire of Japan but it was rejected and the Empire of Japan declared war, apparently angry that the Russians maintained a presence and would not acknowledge their status in Korea.

I'm betting the Navy can and will take out any NK launch before that missile can leave it's territory...well, I hope so..

Aegis can bring it down as long as it launches before it reaches speeds approaching escape velocity.

So within a couple of minutes of a launch, or it is just too fast to intercept.

Yes you right. We are at an age of military technology where only the bad guys get hurt or die and all the good guys live happily ever after.
< sarcasmoff >

Seriously, kimmy is killing his own people daily. Starving them or more violently. There comes a time where enough is enough and something has to be done. Collateral damage happens. It is a fact of all military actions. That has never changed once in the complete history.

Unless you know of some more peaceful way to make kim stop killing his own people.

Maybe you think we should send Dennis Rodman back to make everything all better? (Note that even Rodman has vowed to never to return to NK)

It could be done diplomatically, every time one country plans on a meeting another has to jump in and
say that if they do that the relations would go down.

Diplomatic missions of North Korea
Notice who is not in this list , LINK

People say the DPRK is killing and starving their own people, yet the only evidence they have ( "first hand" ) is news coming from South Korea and People that left the DPRK, or countries that are not in diplomatic relations with the DPRK.

So freaking what they have nukes, When was the last time the DPRK actually attacked another country? Heck I can think of other countries that have nukes that are more "insane". One of them still has not signed the NPT. ( yes DPRK with drew form the npt January 22, 2003. Here is why, and it's not because Kim Jong-il is a lunatic link

Ever notice Kim-Jong-il was crazy, then not even 2 days in office Kim Jong-un is crazy?

Rodman? No, he wanted to be coach of the DPRK basketball team, he vowed not to go back because he didn't realize he was doing harm by running his drunken mouth.

You mean as soon as I pointed out your hypocrisy, you lost interest...

So just to make clear... You have the opinion we should have "Iraq'ed" North Korea, but "Iraq'ing" Iraq was wrong ?

We should not "Iraq" Iran, because we should try diplomacy first ; But Diplomacy with N.K. was pointless, as we should have "Iraq'ed" them.

I can only surmise you're conflicting opinion, is either based around What Administration is in play at that given time, or you hate Koreans. I'm leaning it's more about Administration, than race ; But /shrug what do I know...

You havent heard of their prison camps?

You havent heard the interviews from people who have fled?

You havent heard about kim sending his uncle to the dogs?

You havent seen the smuggled videos showing the masses living in squalor?

That is the tip of the KNOWN iceburg of inhumane treatment that NK has put upon its own people.

You know nothing.

To be fair im not impressed with how obama has handled NK since dear leader threatend nuclear a couple of years back.

But however you spin it George W Bush was in the WH when they broke the deal in 2006.

As for the original NK treaty it was the right thing to do but as soon as they broke it in 2006 the world should have gone in.

Same with Iran, gives the deal a chan e but if they renage on it then take action.

As for iraq thats another topic but seeing as there was no WMD and all we did was screw it up more id say the war was pointless, well unless your name in Bush and cheny in which case ypu made millions in war profiteering.

As for your pathetic democrat, republican partasian bs, relize im not from the US, i dont care and like most brits think the whole think pathetic, small minded and stupid. A mistake is a mistake regardles of whether the president has a R or D after there name.

Prison? Yes I heard of prison camps there yet the USA has the most prisons in the world. .... go figure

Interviews with people who fled ? Yes I addressed that in my post that You did not read you would would not have asked that

Uncle being fed to 120 dogs was a fabricated story. Link "Guardian" or Link Washington Post or Link BBC

I have seen many videos smuggled out of the DPRK and not all of them stick with the inhuman treatment. A few of those videos that came out were fabricated and enhanced to "show how bad it is"

I am not saying they are a perfect country, I am saying that they are not as bad/crazy as you make them out to be.

I know you're not American. I've read about how you'd like to brutally treat immigrants to your country, from your own posts. You mentioned no WMD, I guess you're refusing to look up those articles. It's cool, doing so would destroy the narrative.

You do realize, I assume you're old enough, that the invasion of Iraq occurred because of exactly what you're demanding should have happened in N.K. Iraq broke the inspection deals, and prevented Chemical weapon removal from the stockpiles the DoD & the New York Times, and other periodicals have discussed in fear, of ISIS being in possession of.

So, UN security resolution 1440 & 1442 ( if I remember correctly) were violated by Iraq, under the same pretenses as N.K. in 2006. Again, you must be conscious of this discrepancy right ?

Maybe you do just hate Koreans, like you said I know nothing.

around the time when there was the SONY cyber attack.. Then on 2 March 2015 the S korea and USA military drill incident.. For some reason at the time I though S Korea will accidentally push Lil Kim's lil buttons.. I don’t remember much but weren’t they buddies with Russia at the time? Then I thought Russia will nag China to come and ride along.. but I didn’t update on any current diplomatic relationships, I thought things calmed down since then until just then, but at the time it felt as people were snapping extremely easy. Also I remember something about the need to take control over the South China sea..

I'm comparing sanctions violations, and negotiations violations and their desired/undesired results and the hypocrisy being brandished over them. Not sure what you're asking me, could you be more blunt ? Seriously, to the point blunt.
