One thing to consider: Even though on the surface China is not the super buddy they once were with N.K. I would assume if things got serious China would step in just like they did during the Korean war.

China is already sensitive about expanding it's claimed land and sea lanes, so I doubt they would want to lose their stinky neighbor to any perceived western interest..

Some people say the way to get out of financial troubles is to go to war.. Let us hope for all the lives not yet lost that this is not the trigger something getting out of hand.

Want to bet on that?

China would in no way, shape or form attack the US.....They could take out Lil Kimmy and place a new dictator there but they would NEVER attack the US.....They are not stupid! Over North Korea.....Allies or not that just simply would not happen!

I think it might be rather simple to defeat NK's armies.

1. Bomb their hydro plants and kill the power.

2. Bomb their nuke facilities at the same time. We know where they are.

3. Bomb their port. It is mostly empty anyways.

4. Line the DMC with free food buffet. Their people are starving. The military isnt better fed. They would rather eat than fight. Hunger is a powerful feeling. While they are eating, offer them immediate amnesty. They know kim will kill them if they dont die honerably. It shouldnt be that hard.

5. Leave kim to rot in his country while his people leave in swarms.

Just random thoughts.

Or just speak to China and tell them to remove Lil Kimmy....A lot easier really, China doesn't want war with the USA....They would probably allow us to do so in one nice easy strike and let that be the end of it....

Looks like North Korea did the attack in response to the South reactivating their broadcast loudspeakers along the border.

North and South Korea exchange fire

North Korea linked the attack to South Korea’s resumption of propaganda broadcasts across the border in the wake of the mine explosions. South Korea has large speaker systems along the border that broadcast criticism of the North Korean leadership and news about South Korea, a tactic designed to demoralize troops on the other side.

All so North Korea can try to maintain their leaders image by preventing the truth from getting to the N. Korean people.

I really don't know, hear ALL the time from MANY people on this forum how weak THEY believe the US supposedly "trully is",I guess the question is here do these people actually believe it. It's similar to some of these pathetic 'thug" types who orbit their intended victim talking up their guts until they actaully work up the courage for a sucker punch.
If they DO and China follows SOME of their generals as to what was said publically then WHO knows?

Sounds like reason enough for Kim-Jung.....What a psycho! This man is going to cause a larger than needed response, isn't he?

"Mr. Kim-Jung"....um....Sir.....The South Koreans are talking crap on you over their loudspeakers...

START BOMBING THOSE EFFERS!!!! Who does this???

Um.....Weakness doesn't matter in the eyes of this:

Nine countries in the world possess a total of 15,695 nuclear weapons. The United States and Russia account for 93 percent of them. Since their peak in the mid-1980’s, global arsenals have shrunk by over two-thirds. More countries have given up weapons and programs in the past 30 years than have tried to acquire them. The direction is positive, but when you are fleeing a forest fire it is not just direction but speed that matters. Ploughshares Fund is committed to reducing nuclear threats before it is too late.

www.ploughshares.org...

I mean someone weak can still push a button to destroy whatever they want.....Lord knows we have in the past in Japan....

For people to be naive enough to think because someone doesn't act they are weak is just dumb....Wait until something actually happens and watch Earth turn into a nuclear wasteland....

I'm betting the Navy can and will take out any NK launch before that missile can leave it's territory...well, I hope so..

Depends how its delivered.

Im more worried on the chemical and biological weapons. even a simple mortar could deliver them.

Thanks for pissing the graves of all those who fought and died in WW2 and the Korean war to protect the world from petty tyrants.

Here we go.

Lil kimmy is just plain stupid. NK has practically no resources, barely electricity. It would take a simple afternoon, break times included, to wipe out their infrastructure.

A lame attempt at sabre rattling will do them in.

Yup heard that 14 years ago and were still there......

The problem is North Korean threats on nuclear weapons use. I truly believe little kimmy will use them on the south.

Thats ridiculous. They want to unite their country, not burn it. More accurately, drive out the foreign army occupying their Peninsula.

Nukes are for protection, like any other nuclear power.

For a country to be "occupied " dont the citizens have to not want them there?

Because the south Korean citizens love us, and love us being there to protect them from the north.

It is more of an invitation only party in South Korea than an occupation.

Intrptr doesn't understand the difference between occupation and an allied relationship. He also screams about the US "occupying" other countries because they have a Nato base. lol

Kind of ironic that a person called intrptr doesn't seem to be able to understand the definitions of simple words

I have noticed this trait.

And screaming "partisan politics" while he is spewing partisan talking points..... Kinda sad, I feel bad at times for the blind, they are being led by the blind, and can't see their folly.

Roughly 388,000 Great British soldiers/civilians died in WW2 and like Crazyewok just said you just pissed on their graves.
Roughly 295,000 American soldiers/civilians died in WW2.

They numbers are rounded to the nearest thousand.
Also that is the number of the killed NOT wounded.

So next time you insist on claiming Britain have done nothing at least do some sort of research.

so hurt the civilians, hospitals now have no power and people start dieing YEA!

2. Bomb their nuke facilities at the same time. We know where they are.

So start a nice fallout so no food can grow there? So people get sick for years? and people start dieing YEA!

3. Bomb their port. It is mostly empty anyways.

Stupid fisherman trying to make a living waving their fishing rods at people in a violent manner - Stupid dock workers rattling their...boxes at people - Kill the people at the port YEA!
(If it's mostly empty why not just take it over and use it)

4. Line the DMC with free food buffet. Their people are starving. The military isnt better fed. They would rather eat than fight. Hunger is a powerful feeling. While they are eating, offer them immediate amnesty. They know kim will kill them if they dont die honerably. It shouldnt be that hard.

I half expected after they line up for food blast em with a machine gun cause you know Kill the people YEA!
Do you honestly think they are that hungry there?

5. Leave kim to rot in his country while his people leave in swarms.

They can't leave in swarms, you bombed the heck out of it , have fall out over there , 100's are to sick to even get out of bed now, they would leave by boat but you bombed that too.

Thanks George W Bush for going after Iraq while letting North Korea get real WMD,s.

On 12 February 2013, North Korean state media announced it had conducted an underground nuclear test, its third in seven years

Hmmmmm.....Let me see, who was the President most of that time? Clinton? No, no it wasn't him.....Maybe Bush? No......wasn't him either. Who is that guy? Right on the tip of my tongue...It's the same one who just handed Iran a ridiculous nuclear deal...........It'll come to me.

To save yourself from embarrassment, you might want to double check your partisan bs before you start mouthing off. President George W. Bush was in office in 2006, correct?
The first Nuclear test conducted by North Korea was in 2006, correct?

Bush was in power when North Korea became a nuclear threat to the world.

But hey, don't let facts and reality distort your desperate need to bash Obama at every pathetic opportunity, we all know facts don't usually stop you guys from ranting about that "evil black Muslamic socialist with no birth certificate" right? lol

Why would Bush need to attack NK ? Clinton negotiated a great deal to prevent NK from developing nuclear weapons....

If your going to attack me you can at least use FACTS rather than make BS claims like the UK has done nothing seeing as we have bleed in almost all major wars of the last 20th century.

And my post contains facts do you deny:

North Korea is a threat to peace?

North Korea is a bigger threat since it gained nukes?

The best time to take action have been 2006?

George W Bush was in office in 2006?

George W Bush started a pointless and fake war in Iraq over fake WMDS?

North Korea do in fact have WMDS's?

Taking the above do you want me to clap my hands and say George W Bush did a good job to go after Iraq and leave NK to get Nukes?

Counter those points rather than post absurd one work comments to attack.

Well that deal obviously failed.

North Korea should never have been allowed nukes.
