I'm confused as to what this has to do with Islam at all... This country isn't under Sharia Law and it isn't illegal to draw a picture of Mohammad.

I believe he's trying to imply that the US will be taken over by Sharia Law and Islam so that's why he's being kind of facetious as it were..

Congratulations to gay community members and congratulations to the United States of America.

Being gay is a choice

When did you make your choice not to be gay?

Pretty much the same time I make the choice not to cheat on my wife, or lie at work, or cheat on my taxes.

It is called self control...most have lost all conception of what that means.

One cannot for the most part, choose their attractions.

One CAN, however choose to act on them.

Why should they choose to not act on them?

So many on the far right are threatening to move to Canada again.

Canada. Where we have Gun Control, Government subsidized health care, and Gay Marriage has been federally approved for over a decade.

Oh, and you can't discriminate AT ALL based on someone's sexual orientation. Sexual orientation is a protected human right under the Canadian Constitution.

Churches in Canada are generally happy to provide marriage ceremonies to same sex couples.

We also enjoy a LOT of things that came out of socialism. Guaranteed vacation time, 40 hour work weeks, a labour standards department of the Federal Government.

Social welfare is also a high priority in Canada.

Welcome TEA Partiers.

This question does not surprise me one bit.

In this age of moral relativism, it is becoming more and more common for people to do whatever they feel like doing.

Why should I not cheat on my taxes?

Why should I not cheat on my wife?

Why should I not take from my neighbor?

Why should I not act on sexual impulses?

Because our society has always been ordered on the moral good and oriented away from evil.

This is a common mistake from the homosexualists.

I don't have an agenda.

God set the rules, and expects us to follow them.

I'm just pointing that out.

Your quarrel is with the God who made the universe, and how made you a man.

Cutting out the irrelevant responses about taxes atc.

Im specifically asking why they should not act on their sexual same sex attraction?
Is it because you and god say they shouldn't?

Thank you for admitting that you have those same sex kinds of attractions too. I admire your courage, even though I disagree with your need to perpetuate your own self hatred and personal disgust.

I have never had to exercise self control over those kinds of feelings, because I've never experienced them.

I don't understand how homossexuality would be an issue wih your god, if he supposedly created everything then homossexuality is included. Unless he's bipolar why would he create something he hates?

Your not very familiar with the concept of the dualistic nature of man negative vs positive, good vs evil, light vs dark etc. are you?

Why do you think a lot of atheists can be good people without a guiding belief in the biblical God you speak of?

Its called FREE WILL with a built in moral compass that everyone starts with. Sometimes however CPU is damaged in delivery and those people malfunction just like any other machine.

It is Ironic that you speak like it is us who are trying to oppress you Christians (I presume) when in truth it has been the religious right that has been oppressive to the LGBT for a long time.

I personally have no "homosexualist" agenda and do not wish to see your religion attacked. I know I have spoke more harshly about religion at points but the truth is I don't care what ominous unseen forces you believe in pray to.

I pray too just not in the traditional sense of hands knees before bedtime, though I have been there too at certain points in my life. I'm also sorry but NOONE and I don't care if it was the pope himself is going to tell me what my relationship with the creator is.

You think I'm bad or evil like some sort of boogeyman but I promise you I'm not, no angel but certainly not the devil.

Yep, militant agendas are never truly satisfied. I remember raising the issue of whether or not marriage would be the ultimate goal a few years back (when Civil Unions were all the rage in the LGBT community). I was hammered when I made the point that this wouldn't be the end.

I already know what you folks want...to have your ideology recognized as being a part of every religion, even if it means destroying those intolerant religions in the process (Christianity, Judaism, etc.). You want domination, no equality in education, business, etc. You want to re-write the definition of humanity, telling us what is "normal."

Being gay is a choice, not some genetic deficiency. My brother is gay. And I love him like my brother.

Here's the scoop. All you Obamafreaks who were applauding the SCOTUS decision on Obamacare did so because 6 people decided that the folks in Congress, even though the clearly wrote the limitations of the subsidies into the law, really intended for the law to mean such and such. So, those justices allowed their bias to create new law where it didn't exist.

Now, yesterday, you have these 5 morons that exploit the 14th amendment and try and shove that BS down our throats about how this amendment really can apply to the LGBT community. No freaking way. You see, although the Constitution never explicitly says slavery was o.k., it didn't condemn it. So, people owned slaves. The country got its act together, saw how wrong it was, and AMENDED the Constitution to explicitly state that we, as a people, will support no such thing.

Marriage, in any definition, is not explicitly defined in the Constitution. The 14th amendment does not and should never apply to marriage of any kind. If we, as a people, want to define what marriage is to us in this country, then why not do it the right way and AMEND the Constitution. Get the STATES to ratify it as should be done, instead of 9 people who have a really nasty habit of creating f'ing laws out of thin air. That isn't their job!!!!!

Marriage is not the end for you and I'm pretty sure I'm not going to like what you folks try to do next. At some point, nature will correct this wrong.

The jury may still kind of be out on whether it's nature or nuture but regardless of which one it is, it is definately not a choice. Why the hell would anyone choose to live a lifestyle where you can be beaten, tormented and denied equal rights just for being who you are? It makes no sense. I know with me from the moment i found out what the word gay meant, i knew that was me.

Well, congratulations to Democrats. They finally managed to beat a concept that they themselves helped propel in the 90s with a heavily bipartisan bill called DOMA. At least we've relearned the nature of political flip-flop. Harry Reid, Joe Biden, Bill Clinton, and so on and so forth...

Have fun America. Let's see how long before churches get the pressure to conduct same sex marriage.

Churches are not public accommodations. The government cannot force churches to conduct marriage ceremonies. Besides, who would want have a ceremony officiated by an unwilling participant?

Those who have the most to say about the issue, actually cannot discern the difference between 'Holy Matrimony', and a state recognized union between two willing participants.

They are not the same, but you will see opponents combining the two in an attempt to present the guise of "being persecuted."

To my knowledge, most it not all homosexuals want to experience the same benefits of marriage that str8 couples experience, and they're NOT interested in the least of fulfilling the sacrament of Holy Matrimony.

So you often have sexual urges towards the same sex then?.
Because I'm straight and never fight any urges to do with being attracted to the same sex because I have always been straight It is just my biology is I'm straight.
So how often do you fight these urges? maybe it is about time to just be who you are meant to be.

This is a good question.

The simple answer is that God did not make sin. God never said "on the eighth day, let there be sin."

Sin is a choice made by men and angels, and we are given that choice in the gift of our free will.

This 100‰. Considering we are supposed to have free will he sure does seem to LOVE micro-managing every tiny aspect of our lives. What was the point in giving us free will if we are going to get punished all the time for using it.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I have never been attracted to another man, or a boy or an animal or an inanimate object or whatever fetish is the new fad du jour.

God oriented me towards woman.

I don't because I'm straight and there is no choice about it I am who I am.
But you are making the choice to be straight?.
How often do you make the choice? sounds like as often as you would make the choice to cheat on your taxes.
