Any politician that stands on a platform of "FREE" college tuition absolutely will never get my vote as right out of the gate, there is no such thing as a free subsidy. Have we not learned this from the ACA?

Well.

Can anybody point out a head-to-toe solution plan from Bernie?

How can he get something that benefits the majority of Citizens?

Yes. Under his administration everything will be free, free, free! Come and get it!

It's free for those who attend certain colleges not all colleges. He's quite clear about where he'll get the money from too.

Uh huh. That's exactly what he said. No amount of over the top rhetoric there.

I realize many of you don't like Sanders or his ideas but if you can't come up with an honest argument you should really just keep quiet. What do you think dishonest snide comments like that are going to do anyway???

Or do you just make them to release some tension???

I want someone who will get to government out of my life and stop meddling with me so I can get on with the business of living. Someone who is an avowed and open socialist WILL NOT do that because they feel it their duty to make my life and my business theirs for the "greater good" of course.

Doesn't matter. It's still not free. Those of us who pay taxes are paying for it.

Where did you hear that he'd be funding it by taxing you and your business???

What is your business if you don't mind me asking???

Because I'm pretty sure your business isn't as a hedge fund manager or a wall street speculator. But I could be wrong.

No, it does matter because that isn't where he's going to get the money from.

This is all public information BTW and quite easy to find if you just try and look it up rather than assume the worst or listen to some partisan hack on radio or TV.

Yeah it sucks the government builds and maintains the roads and bridges you use, provides the cops you need and those leaching firefighters. Those pesky regulations protecting the cleaner air and water you drink from those saints that are corporations that only wish to poison the environment for there bottom line. Heaven forbid those safety regulations that keep you safe on the job, and insure compensations it your disabled. Just Terrible!!!

Well, I know lots of countries like that. No taxes, no government, made for your kind. The living on your own part might be difficult, nay, the living at all part might be difficult. And I bet there would be no immigration problem as long as you bring american money and guns.

I'd take a fiscally and socially conservative Bible Thumper over HIllary or Sanders anyday.

At least I know where I stand with Bible Thumpers... with Hillary or Sanders, all bets are off.

I'll keep my guns and my religion, thanks.

The fact that you believe anyone is trying to "take your religion", is very sad.

Please elaborate on how anyone wants or cares what your religion is? The US has been, and will always be a freedom of choice to practice whatever faith you like.

You're equating the inability of forcing YOUR religious views onto everyone as "losing your religion."
Do you see the difference?

The international community is looking at this election and shaking its head. Honestly? Clinton, Trump, Bush or Sanders? Really? Thats a hard decision?

Unless you are rich, you should be voting for Sanders. He is the only progressive candidate looking at moving politics away from the burning trash can that US politics has become.

He is the only one that will actually try and distribute wealth and help the poor.

I cant understand how anyone can have an honest look at these candidates and not realise that Sanders is easily the best option.

Exactly. It's a no-brainer for lots of us - but, sadly, not all of us. Yet.

Laws always have side effects.

Our economy is the sum of all the side effects from millions of laws and regulations.

Bernie would make more laws.

The end of that road is free roommate housing, community TV, and all the cheese you can eat.

The only way anything is going to change in this country is from the bottom up.

Those at the top got there by prospering from the way things have become, and they don't want it to change because they like the way things work in their favor.

Go ahead, try to live without having any banks and/or corporations involved.

They run the world and they are not elected.

Nice dream though.

Dream on....

So the federal government has made a huge mess of virtually everything and the solution is - turn EVERYTHING over to the government?

I can't understand how anyone can look at the situation and not realize doing more of what got us into this mess won't get us out of it.

What got you into this is greed and corruption who want to control where the government sends the Taxpayer $.

Electing another person from this same train of thought that has seen you get into this mess (Clinton, Bush or worse, Trump) is supposed to clean things up how?

Sanders is the only one offering a viable alternative to the past failures. The answer is progression, not sticking to the same old "safe" options.

Speaking to an American friend the other day, he told me that most Americans (especially the poor), should be voting for Sanders if they actually wanted the change they have been asking for...what stops them, is that most Americans (no matter how poor) think that they are potentially one or two steps away from possibly being rich, and their greed stops them for voting in favor of socialist policies.
They think "If I ever become rich, would I like to have to pay more taxes and have my wealth distributed to the poor and needy?"...The answer is invariably no, so they stupidly vote in favor of the same old corrupt system.

Make no mistake, it isn't politics or politicians that got you into this mess....Its Greed.

Brilliant post. I hope you get formal applause for that one, but you definitely got an applause from me.

Could you please expand on this point...It seems you might be misunderstanding what exactly Socialism is VS what form of Socialism Sanders is trying to implement.
