I'm a couple hours south of you.
I see a lot of unusual things, but none of a military nature.
There is a National Guard Armory nearby.
I have seen them on the road a few times, but I think that it is just routine maintenance to take the vehicles for a spin now and then.
I really have no fear that they are stupid enough to try and take over the capitol by force.
a reply to: skunkape23

I have no fear currently that take would take the capitol either but I am stating that the amount of MLRS there don't add up. And whats scarier is they can leave those right there and when they're needed the HEMTT's roll out pods up, coordinates down, fire drops and they can rain hell and fire and more all day long. The cabs on the MLRS are bullet and fire proof as well with a/c. My old units motto in SK was "Steel behind the Rock" and my division 2nd Infantry Division's motto was "Stay alert, Stay Alive" but the last motto more because we were tasked with the DMZ area and other various places. But to be clear, no I' am not worried presently but their is cause to be watchful though.

Here's some info on the HEMTT'S and the MLRS for you:

HEMTT LINK

MLRS LINK

Hey, while you're looking up info on the MLRS, why don't you look up the location of the Red River Army Depot and compare it to the location in the video.

FFS people... use some common sense.

No I notice things that seem out of the ordinary, just like the guy taking the video of the other vehicles parked along the road. I guess that is standard shipping and parking procedures?

There's a repair and maintenance facility at that location so seeing military vehicles in that area is not out of the ordinary.

What you say could be 100% true, I have no idea. But do you remember if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor? I didn't have sexual relations with that woman? Or that Iraq had WMD? What makes you think the government is telling the truth now?

I don't think the government tells the truth about anything. I'm using deductive logic to discern that A) there's a huge repair depot at that location and B) they repair military vehicles. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that there will likely be military vehicles parked in that area.

The ONLY reason people think this is out of the ordinary is because Jade Helm has been hyped up by the conspiracy crowd and everything involving military equipment is put on YouTube with some moron claiming it probably has something to do with the exercise.

On any normal day, you wouldn't notice or care about these HMMWV's and MLRS's.

One thing is for sure. If they really did want to do something strange, this would be the way to do it.

Advertise a Jade Helm 15 type exercise which would allow them to do nearly anything before the world and if it is a ruse easily pull it off.

On the other hand if they were going to do something and didn’t advertise Jade Helm that would spread more massive hysteria and panic once it got started and would call for a response

An analogy:

If you’re planning to shot someone you tell them: “Hey buddy I’m bringing my gun to work tomorrow don’t worry about it I'm taking it for repairs.

The next day he’s off his guard

boston marathon had an exercise going on across the street. unique and similar in nature.
7/7 had an exercise going on at the same stations that were hit. unique in timing.
911 had an exercise going on off shore, same nature of supposed mission, same time frame too.

those exercises did not cause me any comfort.

Why throw another pitch if the batter strikes out?
Put sour milk back in the fridge, your gonna get the 'runs'.

My walmart, not in a named state of exercise operation has for about 3 weeks now closed off the best part of the parking lot to place tons of sea-train boxes within a blanket/privacy fenced area, with people dressed like security agents moving whatever materials they move from one box to the other.

Now I have to walk further and it's not a fair trade, is the warehouse broke-down?

I didn't read the whole thread so pardon me if this has been addressed...

But, is this one of the Walmart stores that was recently "closed" due to plumbing trouble?

Hey Texas, let me know when your civil war is over. I have a road trip coming up and I really don't want to run into a battlefield. I'd keep up with it on the news, but they're not reporting it, partly because it's nonsense and partly because any war between a bunch of Libertarian hillbillies with pop guns and a full US Army invasion wouldn't last long enough to justify a single commercial break. So I'm relying on you good people to keep me informed.

Those M270 missile launchers being there worries me too.
This are strategic weapons systems for reaching out at targets over 50 miles away and can be nuclear armed.
Not right at all. I'm certain Jade Helm is going to much more than they are telling us it will be.

ETA: make that 190 miles away.

Exactly. I am a truckdriver as well, and as you and I both know, if you're not in a truckstop by 5 or 6 pm you can forget finding any kind of parking.

When allowed, I have often used Walmart parking lots to shut-down.

I paid $13 for a reserved spot for tonight because I'm heading to upstate New York and won't get there until after 7.

On my first delivery to NY I was sent to Green Point Brooklyn. Getting in NY with a 18 wheeler was stressful enough. I finally made it and was beat from gripping the wheel for 4 hours. I pulled into my drop location and parked it. It was a huge parking lot and it was empty. I figured ill wake up, drop my load and carry on. HA!

I woke up with a Yorker banging on my cab forming complete sentences with just the F word. I pulled the curtains back and I was completely blocked in by like 100 cars that started work that morning. It was ugly and I refused to make a drop in NY again. Sometimes you park where you can out of desperation when your tired.

Worry not... they're sitting at a repair and maintenance depot.

I'm not sure why people are getting all worked up about this. It's an EXERCISE!

The military does lots of exercises. It's nothing sinister, nothing to be afraid of.

I'm flabbergasted at all the ridiculous conspiracy theories on this. No wonder the Navy does their exercises in remote areas of the oceans.

Good grief people, let it go! Nothing to fear. Sit back, relax, have an adult beverage and watch the show.

Appears you're right - the Red River Army depot outside Texarkana TX.
From the video you get the impression these just "showed up" in the middle of nowhere.
Thanks for the info!

One would wonder why we are being offered YouTube videos in lieu of the OPs own live video. Since he lives right there and all.
I would sure have gone into town to see this with my own eyes. With proof that close by there is no way at all I would not go see this and record everything I saw.
So maybe somewhere later in the thread the OP does do this and that would be awesome.

The one Wal-Mart around my area actually lets the (sorry for the term) crackheads park their dilapidated motor homes there, even despite the cops making frequent visits to them and raiding them quite a few times. Truckers also frequent there. I don't know if you guys heard about it or not, but the Wal-Mart in Salem, OR where the standoff happened with the gentleman in the bus? Same Wal-Mart. Yet they still allow the dilapidated motor homes, and they still allow truckers to sit. National Guard is right across the street, that has no relevance whatsoever, just thought I'd throw in a fact. The point is, anyone with a heart would allow truckers to take their break in a safe place. We definitely do not need them driving around deprived of sleep for their own safety, the safety of others and the product they carry. I see nothing wrong with giant Wal-Mart parking lots, or any other huge parking lot, turning into a camp ground for truckers, especially over night.

a reply to: Answer

I do hear what you are saying and I do prefer common sense usually but, being at Red River Army Depot and where these MLRS were filmed is two different places all-together and also even if the MLRS were on non-mission ready or even mission deadline or at repairs or for upgrades what the RRAD usually does with military hardware and store munitions.Point is they wouldn't dare leave even the above mentioned conditions/grades of vehicle wear/operational on public road edge and with that dodgy fence/chicken-wire in place and the ones shown in video were in operational PMCS state. So no there is a difference at least in this case. Now like I said before I am not trying to sound the doom porn alarm but we should be wise and aware of our surroundings and report to each other anyway we can via web etc..

That's exactly why we have to be skeptical of these YouTube vids. Over the next few months, there will be a lot of folks noticing "things out of the ordinary" that aren't and associating them with Jade Helm.

Take the truck hauling HMMWV's for example... happens all the time but thanks to the Jade Helm conspiracy nuts, it's suddenly worth noting and putting on YouTube.
