Well since every crime committed does not end in arrest, I would say it was worded properly.
If you commit ten crimes and I commit one, you are more likely to get caught.
Less crime equals less chances to be arrested.

For the feeble minded, this means that conviction statistics tell half the story.

In apartheid south Africa, blacks and white committed crimes. However, blacks were profiled, arrested, convicted, sentenced disproportionately to their white counterparts. The reason? Racism.

The same issue exists in the US. To look at statistics and not understand this, is a sign of a lack of critical thinking skills

All we can truly do is speculate!

Skin color is irrelevant, imo, statistically speaking. It's a non-factor. No causation.

What would be relevant are things like median income, college education, high school diploma, single or married, divorced parents vs married parents, etc.

This entire race variable is a non-issue. Blacks don't commit more crime because of their skin tone.

Cops maybe shoot more blacks because of their bias. That would be hard to prove or disprove, especially when other factors are weighed like the neighborhood.

We can speculate all we want. I would speculate that Tamir Rice doesn't get shot if he was in a suburban neighborhood instead of an inner city, high crime neighborhood. We'll never know, and there is no data that can prove anything one way or the other.

It would be cool if smart people would just acknowledge the facts instead of trying to forward a divisive agenda.

My point is that all the stats used are based on number of arrest and not total number of crimes comitted. Yes murder seems to be the exception in a catagory of its own. Now that you point it out that would seem to be one of the most accurate ones because nearly all murders are reported where all crimes are not.

i guess i missed that post. i never made the claim of any legal ownership but noted that the residue of actions in his youth was still prevelant when i was a boy so much so that i was givin the same ackward respect by blacks that i was forced to give my elders. it went beyond manners cause i could pick up on the eyes and emotions. I was raised listening to a heavy dose of racial talk includins stories of him putting the dogs loose on some blacks he had treed for nearly 3 days with no food or water among many other stories of things that make people cringe.

why should you have to be a certain color to care?

the truth i have said over and over is no one knows how many crimes are committed everyday.

the stats go by total arrest and if a police force directs their car to certain areas everyday then thy will get more arrest in that area. As stated by others murder is final and solved murder cases would be the best place to gather stats.
