From what I saw in different twitter feeds, Ukrainian soldiers that are guarding the perimeter have moved the journalist a bit further from the airfield and they are the ones claiming technical errors and ammunition detonation.

The RPG hit/gunshot theory was conveyed by journalists from local eyewitnesses.

Also a video on YT showing a second explosion at the airfield.


LE: Different people, including Ukrainian military analyst D. Tymchuk and Russia Today's Paula Slier, seem to further report on the gunfire theory.

Still nothing officially confirmed.

Kramatorsk airfield in eastern Ukraine is covered with smoke spreading over the area according to numerous videos emerging online. Explosions are heard in near the site.

There is a big amount of conflicting reports saying what is causing the explosions.

According to witnesses, the airplane of Kiev military crashed in the airfield.

I'm not a happy bunny this morning. The FTSE 100 is down and continuing to go down in response to what is happening in Ukraine - I'm losing money! It's the uncertainty causing the issue with world markets. I think we will either see all out war between Ukraine and Russia within a week or nothing at all.

In the videos posted yesterday, showing Russian troop movements, you could see some of these GRAD missile systems on the move, the rocket launchers were covered with tarps, but clearly visible.

Special Forces unit “Alpha” refused to execute the order to attack Slovyansk

During the execution of the anti-terrorist operation near Slavyansk today, fighters of “Alpha” did not engage in the fight.

The editor of the Censor.net Yuriy Butusov writes about this on his Facebook page.

“Today, the main anti-terrorist unit in Ukraine, Special Forces unit “Alpha” DID NOT engage in the battle with the terrorists in Slavyansk. Under the bullets went only units of the National Guard, MIA, and the fighters of “Omega” were at the front. One of them was badly wounded in the neck. There was the order and it was executed by all units assigned to the liquidations of the terrorists block posts. Only “Alpha” did not execute the order,” – says Butusov.
