Dear God, I've been reading this guys account of his actions and thoughts during this episode.

Please please all higher powers, never let me be stuck in a bad situation with people like THAT. Useless, dithering, in the way, stupidly pontificating about absolutely unnecessary nonsense for what needs to be done NOW .....

Did none of these people have first aid, that they thought to do anything other than LOOK at the people moaning and injured?

The people suspected the police, and the police suspected the people. What a gigantic clusterfrack.

THIS WAS MY BIG QUESTION TOO! Why weren't there ANY videos? I understand people were fleeing, but there are literally ZERO videos of this captured in a nation that's rich, and high tech. Everyone knows of youtube abroad, everyone wants to report the news, capture it, and surely there was one person not in danger, or believing to not be in danger, who got footage with a camera phone.

Right?

Doesn't make sense. How many videos are there of the Twin Towers coming down? How many camera phone videos are there?

All this stuff stinks to high heaven of a cover up. Covering up what, and why....
I learned from a wise, bitter old man, clear in his logic even if clouded by his anger in his old age, but he told me the truth. When anything "big" happens, the root is always money, and to find out the answer..."FOLLOW THE MONEY!"

I believe that too. There's no crusaders of justice, and righteous men of power anymore, just greedy men consumed by a cancerous need for more power, more money.

Money talks, ideology walks. Period. Show me a militant muslim extremist that won't convert to orthodox jew for 11million and cash, and I'll show you...well, can't think of something you wouldn't believe...lol, but you get the point.

MONEY TALKS, and it's trail..it screams in whispers.

BIGTIME.

How does someone know that the woman was suspicious, if he shot and killed her and the guard? It seems more likely that a witness who saw the two ferry him across with a boat is accurate. Also, the ferry is probably right there. If she shot the only people who would stop him, he could take the ferry whenever he wanted. I doubt it's a magical ferry that ONLY travels three times a day. Unless he was a blithering idiot, just starting it and taking it across also makes sense.

While I'm ready to believe in some theories, so far, they are weak. I can so far believe the story as it was told. I don't think everyone has a very clear picture yet, but I think as the facts are broken down, it will fall into place.

And again, God Forbid I end up on a small island in a shooting spree where people's first reaction is to stand in the way while they FILM it.

What good does giving someone more unprepared targets do?

There is a glaring hole in their training and deployment. Hopefully they take that to heart, and fix it instead of trying to merely excuse it.

What about this? One more time someone is playing cards.

Take a look at subtitle of the main title.
"Nobel laureate sought for questioning"

Oslo is place where Nobel Peace Prize are granted every year. This year one of candidates for this prize is Wikiliks. This candidature was submitted by the deputy of ruling socialist coalition in Norway. Andreas Brevik bombed buildings of their Government. Meanwhile Juliana Assang creator of Wikiliks nominated to the Nobel Peace Prize is waiting for his extradition to Sweden.

Have anyone better resolution of this card? I thing there could be other some interesting contents there.

I'm not a man, and given a gun I could have taken him out.

I suspect I'm a significantly better shot than he is.

There are more factors involved - if I was on hand, and could already see that I didn't have another shooter to target me it is less a problem. However, the seeming usual "there are multiple shooters!" panic complicates issues.

The police had information apparently, and that information was NOT useful and likely delayed things.

There is a difference between being on hand to take in the scenery, and being at the listening end of hundreds of conflicted bleeting of false information and needing to plan around that.

Does anyone know who the coroner is for the body's found on the island ?and what his history is ?
It shouldn't be hard to work out if there was more then one gunman it's pretty simple realy
Take the bullets from 3 or 4 different spots from the island and compare them. If police arnt sure how many
Gunman there are wouldnt that be the fastest way to confirm it or not ?
That's why I'd like to know who the coroner is and what his history is.

In that Swat Arrives video, I see police (SWAT) hiding behind the van and children arriving. ...

Anyway, they waited until he, Brave Rick, run out of ammo and surrendered, thus continuing his mission alive.

Some people hoped he was killed, but no. How many bullets did the police fire at him? That would be an interesting count. Let me guess - zero?

The first version I heard is that they couldn't find a boat large enough to hold their equipment, and then the boat began to leak, and then the engine conked out. And the only police helo they could find wasn't outfitted to hold passengers. Etc, etc. ...

Others were less interested in looking for an excuse to failure:

news.yahoo.com...
Otto Loevik, who declined to be interviewed, rescued some 40 to 50 terrified youths.

The video I posted sais that he took the ferry over to the island and the woman Monica on the same ferry became suspcious and walked up to the house you see on the hill above the bridge and warned the off duty cop/security officer on the island. Breivik shot them both with his M14 and dumdum bullets.

Here is another video showing the SWAT team arriving to the isalnd and the first youths running towards them in horror. I think you can hear some gunfire in the background during the first seconds of the movie.

SWAT Team arrives to island

Hmmm. I'll have to re-read the article I flagged that was slightly different than this account. Not terrilby different though. I have it on another computer.

Okay here it is.

www.heraldsun.com.au...

Breivik raised suspicions again moments prior to his shooting spree at Utoya, The Times reported.

The woman in charge of organising the island camp became apprehensive after going to pick him up from the mainland in a boat. When the boat arrived at Utoya she took him to the police officer stationed on the island. Breivik shot both of them dead.

Absolutely, first shooter responds at the scene, no wait, engage, engage, engage and yes they are trained.

This was implemented after the Columbine shooting. Not only do they attend active shooters training, but in many cases the classes are held in schools. I know from first hand experience. Damn simunition hurts like heck, even if you are wearing protection.

Especially from the MP5's.

I can't imagine that not a single person would have engaged this dip-stick from the flank with a lead pipe, or anything they could get their hands on.

Yes, the police are using the delivery van for cover. They are grouped together and do not seem to have a plan. It appears that the Norwegian emergency responders had no emergency response plan to deal with this type of contingency. I guess they will be having a very interesting debrief of their emergency response and available resources for this tragedy.

The media have implied that Breivik just casually showed up unannnounced at the ferry and rode over to the island on the strength of the police attire he had on. But it turns out, someone called the island before the shooting, and told them to await the arrival of a policeman, in light of the situation in Oslo.

randomat.tumblr.com...
Adrian Pracon:
We were informed by radio of a bombing in Oslo, so we gathered all 700 people on the island together to tell them. A couple of minutes later we got a phone call to say one policeman was coming on to the shore to see us...

translate.google.com...
"I ( 23-year-old Kjetil Vevle)had been told that someone from the intelligence service PST(Police Security Service) was (to) come to the island. ....

www.nytimes.com...
When he(the gunman) arrived, about 600 people were there, most gathered in the main assembly building for a briefing on the bombing.

---------

As the moonlighting police officer/guard was one of the first killed, he probably went down to the ferry to greet the visitor. But who made this call TO the island? I am sure the investigators will claim it was Breivik who telephoned, but will they access phone records to see where the call originated? Is it not convenient that Breivik arrived just as the entire population of the camp is nicely concentrated in one place?

Police have been unable to answer how they knew the name of the shooter even before they arrived on the island.

www.prisonplanet.com...
How did the police know the killers name before they hit the Island? The reportedly called out his name three times and he surrendered to them.

Is it possible the PST(Police Security Service) already knew his identity because it was they who made the phone call in the first place?

now thats ridiculous, almost 100 people got slaughtered like kitchen bugs, and the cops didnt fired a single shot?

that cant be the norwegian SWAT-sort team. do they even got any?

or is it just their doctrin in norway, even trained police officers arent disposable resource in emerigancy situations?
