They then proceeded to gain parity with the Nazis to some extent, though I suspect that the Nazis wielded a weapons threat against them which prevented them from trying to develop exactly similar weapons tech, hence the Nazis remained in control by dint of their greater weapons potential, even though the US had some similar flight capabilities in their deep black research projects.

If the Nazis had all of this technology, why did they lose the war and their grip on their "Fatherland"?

However, the thrust of the thread being Nazi control of the narrative is also interesting, if misguided. The Nazi’s were themselves merely a tool. They were never the power behind it all, just convenient frontmen. They are not in control of the narrative now, the same people who have always been are still at the helm.

see people all over the world building hover vehicles using drones and yet no flying saucers from DARPA or Lockheed who have billions at their disposal.

If it comes from DARPA you never will see it either unless they wish to release it.

If people knew the full scope of their activities, they would be simultaneously amazed, appalled and in awe of what actually goes on at DARPA. They share *very* little of their discoveries and it almost always requires DoD or Presidential declassification in order to do so. By default, everything there is classified Top Secret until deemed otherwise.

I did some work for them in the 90's as an independent contractor. For a non-traditional geek like me, it was heaven.
