Great thread!

First off, studies show that people have a near death experience on average of 5 times in their life. Many times without realizing it.

Now for me, I know why, I have f*&^%$ awesome reflexes, that is why. I was hit by a 60 mph texter who pushed me into traffic to play chicken with another 60 mph beamer. I realized I was moving, sat up, steered out a traffic, and laid back down. ( I was hit so hard the recoil flattened my seat)

but then I wonder, what in the hell brought me too and sit and up and realize I was still moving?

But I have also lived enough to know that if you ask why too much, it will drive you crazy. Sometimes it just is.

Found it! My Brain that is, must have been the 3 days off! So Sorry about that!

Somehow most of us get young, dumb and stupid sometime in our lives, although it's in the teen years for most. That would be something to share, bring us back to your day, if you so happen to share.

Now that you are over the age of --. What do you tell your children if you have any? Some seeds end up being from the same tree; and I have to ask. Was you like your father when he was young? Now that you toned it down, what do you remember that was different afterwards?

In one way or another, somehow something had to changed before and after. For myself, I ended up thinking before I acted the first time. Second time, it just happened. Next it was being stupid, more like ending up in a bind and fear sets in. So do you still do some of the things you did back then or have you toned it down some?

And where does that, I will be Okay come from? I actually hear that now, yet no sign of trouble coming. Thanks for your time and sharing your story!

Peace

For some of us, That can be considered a True Statement! And now as the world gets even crazier, just how will we make it! So much money is wasted on wars, control and the so-called computer age we ended up losing any sense of Who we are. It's like a child who keeps all the toys for him/her self and nobody else gets to play.

We could have been to Mars, solved many of the problems we have today. Wait............ they are the same problems from long ago! Yet it is I that sees this; hate to speak for anybody else!

Thanks for adding something new to the mix.

There could be so many ideas floating around out there that it really comes down to this. When we die, is that it? Most people go with the idea that Life is everlasting, continues after the body dies, and some say we do it all over again. Now some half facts do exist out there, old soul, remembering another past, or meeting someone for the first time and somehow known them forever!

It's different for each of us, that much is true! One could go digging deeper only to find out too many possibilites could exist. We have spirits in places although one has to wonder if it could just be a crossover from a different timeline blending in. We have the past life ideas, different Earths, even the thought that nothing happens after Death.

Then there is the Matrix idea; some took the using the pill way to far, yet nothing more then just a plug in game hiding every Real Truth that is out there. Only way we could really know is if Death Himself would care to share! Hello, Death? We have Questions!

Somehow I think it would be so Very Wrong to cross that line! Laws would be broken and everything would go into ????????????????????????

Had to ask, some toss out the liners to off set any post you know. Now since you put it that way, I do claim Something is on the outside working in ways we have no idea. Different Laws that do whatever it is they do, Karma, Fate, Life could have its own web we know nothing about. Although we have some names for them, I could not even try to understand it if I wanted to!

It could be nothing more then Timing, and as we know. Time was created by Man or the idea of it anyways. If one uses the 13 months, 28 days in a month. It go by the Stars only. Here we have Leap Year, daylight savings, time adjustments to some Clock I have no idea about! I mean, what are we adjust time too/for?

After all, it could be just plain old Good Luck!

Some of us have had thoughts like that, things get so tough, life is so screwed, lost everything, even the one you love either dies or leaves. For me, I just did not fit in! Still even today, I think I ended up on the Wrong Planet! My friends would agree! Yet, I Am Here so must deal with it. Deal with being an Empathy person who finds nothing but pain. Only I choose to go on, ever finding some path I can call my own. Hell, I would even share if it were possible! Yet I find no one wants to even consider this path, well one did walk for 10+ yrs. Seems we came from the same place, even if it was in our Heads.

Missing Time. Sad part is though, Missing! Could go see a Hip-tow-phy person, yet it would end up being some childhood past experence, ET, or missplaced idea of time. Not to say it did not happen that way; luckie for me I can not be done that way, so far anyways. Not that it would not be interesting, just more stuff to deal with then I already have to work with.

Really though, I would be pissed off if say ET did mess with me and did not at least have the balls to talk to me! LOL Or at least take me to Saturn and see the rings for myself. As for childhood, remember almost ever single act I've done or was done to me and learned from it. I think so anyways!

Any one else out there know anything about missing Time? Can it be explained or is it one of them other Questions really? Can you yourself explain it or some of it as you see it?

Peace

Now that you are over the age of --. What do you tell your children if you have any? Some seeds end up being from the same tree; and I have to ask. Was you like your father when he was young? Now that you toned it down, what do you remember that was different afterwards?

I'm very frank and straightforward with the kids. If they want to know I have no issue telling them the truth. If something I've done relates to what they may be going through then I share it to show them no matter how bad they think it may be I've already screwed that pooch and I know what they are going through. My daughter was raised without me present after the age of 3. She is an incredible kid, no kind of crazy trouble but her personality is scary like mine. Step kids are there own nothing out of whack. My pop and I are alot alike as far as personality is concerned but he never pushed the envelope even sort of close like I did. He pulled military service went to college and started his career. The difference between now and then is I just control it. I'm somewhat calmer but I feel it inside me all the time like an itch that you can't ever reach.

In one way or another, somehow something had to changed before and after. For myself, I ended up thinking before I acted the first time. Second time, it just happened. Next it was being stupid, more like ending up in a bind and fear sets in. So do you still do some of the things you did back then or have you toned it down some?

The turning point was I had a good job and was having a ball and lost it for a drug test. At that point I was using so much and so many different things I couldn't pass it if I tried. I decided to leave the state and went to my sisters to detox. 3 weeks in a bedroom and some rough nights and days I was doing good. Thats when I said ok dude ya got to get a grip or your gonna die alone. So drugs, crazy life and death or get a handle on it. So I did and have for the most part done good.

And where does that, I will be Okay come from?

Lol I have no idea. I have always been ok. I will always be ok, its just how it is. Overdoses, car surfing, jumping trains, jumping bridges, non stop partying, 3 totaled cars, cancer, living on the street and hitch hiking all over the south east. Just doesn't matter what happens, I'm fine. Ya know the one thing I honestly miss more than anything is the hitching. My friends in FL use to get so mad at me. We would be playing ball on the beach, drinking, having fun and the next day I would be gone. I would just leave when I woke up and start walking with my thumb out. No where particular to go just away. I would find some work for a couple months till I got the urge and head somewhere else or back to Pens. beach. Friends would be playing ball and I would come walking up the beach one day out of the blue like nothing happened. I miss that a lot.

Liked that! At least he did not toss a question back at you. Death has many forms indeed! Since the marble was made from sand in the first place it just changed it's form from one thing to the next. Maybe never ending changing forms so Death just changes the old to new again.

Thanks for reminding me that nothings can stay the same for too long! Without Death being as it is, we would actually Wish for It! Never would have thought I say this. Thank God for Death! Then again, maybe Death is nothing more then Change. A sip here, cut there, bang over there, one things for sure. Everything does change even if just the form dies, something new can come out from it.

Now if we can just replace the fear part of it; nope!

Although we have some names for them, I could not even try to understand it if I wanted to!

Thats the dilemma all of us humans have. Trying to put into words what isn't about words at all. We have no experience as yet about "over there" because we have yet to go there. Like a baby in the womb trying to describe what it perceives about the world outside. There is no frame of reference.

Quite okay to ask and ponder, thats why those incidents occur, maybe. To make us wonder about it. Its okay to shrug and admit not knowing. Thats human.

Good idea for a thread.

Man! Thanks for sharing that, I better not have any nightmares! Felt like I was almost there, even still going through my mind! For one, what could I say except how did you even make it through all of it later? And now, do you have limits in what you can do or are you close to you being you back then?

Odd that the Dr died later, ever question that one? I'm still replaying your post in my head, Bless You! After all that what does go through you head now? Actually I think we all want to know HOW you did recover so fast? Sure it took time, what was you thinking while healing yourself? What Drove you?

I have hear that, people seeing others while your doing the near Death thing yourself. I for one agree that True Love is something for someone else and not yourself. Sorry that you and others had to go through it all THAT WAY, it is a fear we all have inside really. And to come out even stronger, having the will to overcome them odds is remarkable!

If you could go back and change something, Would You? Or do you consider it being a Blessing in your Life as it is Now?

Roof, OMG! Brought back a time long ago roofing! Better add that one to the list of as close to death! People! Never place the first layer of felt without no backup!

It would seem that way indeed! Although one questions the reasons Why. Seems some have gotten more out of Life just because it happened, some still wonder, and some can make no sense to it. What a tangle web we do create, or the question could be. Who's Web?

There are times like that for a lot of people. I know people that had something unusual happen that saved them from death, and I have had the same.

I was driving on the interstate with my oldest, who was about 7-8 at the time. Completely out of character for her, she suddenly said, "Mom, get off the interstate!" I was planning to drive further on it, but something told me to listen, so I took the exit that we were approaching. From the road the exit led to, you could see the interstate for a good half block or so, and we witnessed a very bad accident, that involved the cars that had been in front of us, and the one that had moved into our spot in traffic when we exited, and some behind them, and an 18-wheeler. I have no doubt we would have died had we stayed on the interstate, and we were both sure God had sent a warning.

Another time, driving home,I was approaching an 3-way intersection, with no traffic anywhere, and had to slow because a possum ran across the road, far earlier in the day than you would ever expect to see one out and about. That slowing down avoided another accident, as a car came speeding through from the street to the right, without stopping for the sign, and sped through the intersection when I would have been there, had I not slowed to avoid the possum.

Yet another day, when crossing a very busy intersection, I spotted a car that wasn't slowing for the street light, and could see that this car would be in the middle of the intersection at the same time I was. I braced for impact, fully expecting to be smashed into. Then, I was somehow through the intersection, as was the other car, and I have NO memory of crossing the intersection, or seeing the other car cross. it was like space folded or something, and we passed unharmed.

All I can think is that I have been protected for some reason. We might not ever understand why in this life, but I appreciate it, nonetheless!

It just is, Interesting! I'm actually Enjoying All the stories people are sharing! One could talk about Doom Porn, Gov, whats new on the silly world list; people just being Stupid. Yet for a time it is something close to real as real gets! Its not everyday people get to share a story about Them that means so much to them, Your Like There!

With them, feel them and learn from them. In a way, I can say I know them! On some other level that goes beyond understanding, who knew! And for Once, I never heard Poor Me! Now that is very odd indeed!

Wow.... I mean... just f**king 'Wow'!!

.... and even after suffering though the list of injuries so long and each very serious in their own right, you lived to tell the tale. The human body never ceases to amaze me with its awe-inspiring ability to repair and recover.

Wow.

Glad to hear your telling your children the Truth. Leads to a better understanding of who you are then what is heard from others. Someday I will have to do the same, just many more years have past by! And the stories, Oh My! Yet even with the paperwork saved from doing Time could not change anything, for now!

Then another missing link comes along 10 yrs later and I have to wonder what happened while I was gone. One things for sure, hanging out with others can change your life one way or another, so learned to pay attention! Now that was 27 yrs ago and never went back! Changed alot of things about myself back then, have no regrets.

Although I would find it interesting if say, move from town to town. Stay for a few months and move to another town till I find a place when I get to 80. Only I'm locked in because of my past; you would think paying interest for over 27 yrs and time served would be good enough! Yet looks like I will have to pay till the day I die, interest!

I do thank you for filling me in! Maybe one day you can go and explore once again! Really sounds like fun!

Peace

It really is a good idea! If you actually think about it, most words/ideas are hand-me-downs! Since childhood, you get prepped into hearing the same old stuff over and over again. Come to thing about it, thats why nothing changes! Everything has to stay the same so everybody can relate to each other using all the old stuff from long ago.

Then when a person does question something that just does not fit, people have a problem. Take something out of your box known as a fact and see if you can break it up. Tear into it openly and ask if the meaning no longer has any value or the values given do have more holes then anything. Really it more like, this is something I thought was true except after looking I have more questions then facts.

It use to be that the Earth was flat, then came the Earth is round. We circle the Sun Yet considering a new idea is that the Earth follows the Sun as it moves, in a sprial. We actually spin, and our Gal is moving through space so everything would have to follow the spin. New idea out there, yet it makes more sense then we stay put!

Work on it and see what happens with your ideas you have had for a long time. Are they true as they seem to be or is something lacking/missing?

Peace

Have I thought about the "what if" aspect, and going back and changing things? Heck yeah. It's funny, today is the 31st anniversary of my car accident. It was January 22, 1983. I love my kids. I love my husband. But those 30 seconds (or whatever) I wish never happened. Reprocussions of those 30 seconds are ALWAYS on my mind. Not the accrual accident, but what changed forever. I can't run, I can't squat or sit on the floor "Indian style". I am on so much pain meds I'm surprised I can function. I can't work. Some days I feel so sorry for myself I just stay in bed. AFTER 31 YEARS.

So yeah. Think I'd try to change it. Absolutely.
