Looks like the Oarfish legen might be true after all.... unless there's a difference depending where they wash up. If so, then this is not the quake predicted by the legends, then California needs to continue holding on tight!

Okay ...according to the bulletins ... they are saying that they are expecting no damage from
the tsunami and that it'll be small irregular currents .... so they look like they'll get off easy on
this one. The earthquake will have done more damage than any waves ...

How much more bad luck can that place take???

Bad luck ? The odds are against that by now.
Seems a more likely word would be a rekoning.

Oh my. Here we go. I knew there would be something coming after Antarctica but I certainly was hoping it wouldn't be here. Keep us updated and everyone keep up the thoughts/vibes/love/prayers for those in the area.

With respect to your Antarctica comment, what happened there?

For some reason I expect Japan to sink within my lifetime.

I lived just South of Tokyo for three years ... 1983-1986. (Kanagawa prefecture)
When I was there, everyone expected Tokyo to slide into the ocean
with a massive earthquake. They also thought Fuji was going to blow.
It didn't happen. Here we are ... 30 years later ... everything is still there.

When one big quake happens, always look for another to follow. I think everyone up and down the coast need to be on high alert for the next 24-48 hours

That's good to hear.

I don't think they would downplay if there was significant risk, after all that's happened.

The international community needs to drop everything its doing and help, this is a world wide effecting catastrophe and humanity needs to unite to help the japanese people.

Yes they do and why aren't they?

Because everyone is too tied up in their own BS, its sad how humanity treats itself, this is not a national problem, this is not a government problem.

This is a human problem, that has far ranging effects for all us, and it will take a united humanity to solve it, if only we could get over ourselves for a moment to see that.

It almost makes you think people want massive cancer rates in the general populous or something...

Wonder if it had anything to do with the large solar flare that the sun fired out today?

Flare

It hasn't reached us quite yet. But I'd keep on my toes if I were in Japan. Of course, I'm pretty sure they're pretty nervous already.

How much more will it take before the fuel pool in reactor 4 completely topples over? I wonder what the brilliant minds at Tepco will come up with when it inevitably happens.

The prospects for long term human habitation in Tokyo are looking awfully grim as well as for the rest of us worldwide.

This should be the worlds number one priority, but strangely it's looked at almost casually by many people until their dinner at Red Lobster glows, then it will finally become a "problem" to them.

We're in rough shape...
