Rough evening shaping up for Oklahoma, Moore and points NE - Tornado Emergency Declared

Thanks for the redirect Kosmic! I couldn't find where folks were talking about this.

Could the thread title be updated to indicate current activity?. I am sure there are folks on here who have loved ones here in OK and would like to follow along.

Cross Rds Mall may be getting hit

Thankfully Cross Roads Mall is all but a derelict shadow of it's former self......meaning it's not filled with people. I think most of the stores have closed up and afaik it's slated to be torn down.

Thanks for making me more nervous than I already am. But thanks for the heads up as well. My folks are in a hotel east of OKC, I'm giving them a call to get to shelter.

They just issued tornado warnings for Moore. Moore again!

They just said it's taking almost the same track as the last deadly tornado on the 20th.

What's making the storm so dangerous is the heavy amount of rain. The offcials, Storm Chasers, and Weather Spotters are having a difficult time tracking the tornadoes because they're rain wrapped.

I just heard a weather chaser mention that the rotation may be a mile and a half wide.

Looking at the radar echoes, this is one big supercell system with multiple centers of rotation. I hope everyone is ok.

I wonder if the city has a place for the people who are still without homes to go.

This is the stuff that they say will be over us in SW Missouri later tonight.

It's going to be a long night I think....

The Weather Channel tornado chase vehicle reported hammered and with injuries.

I have a sister who lives in Norman, Oklahoma and they just announced a tornado possibly heading there. I can't get a hold of her, are the phone lines down?!!
