Rough evening shaping up for Oklahoma, Moore and points NE - Tornado Emergency Declared

Why evacuate the airport if a tornado emergency has been declared? Shouldn't people be taking cover - any where possible?

This supercell is still developing from the triple point south of Watonga which is west of OKC...you can see the point continually giving birth to this supercell;

This is starting to remind me of May 3rd 1999 when the tornado's were too numerous to count. I think there were 40+ in the state that afternoon and evening. Bad, bad situation developing in central Oklahoma/OKC and points east and north.

Several tornadoes touch down near Oklahoma City, residents urged to take cover, listen for sirens:

8 mins from DT OKC. The radar I am watching show 4 tornado vortex lined up toward OKC.

It's 3 from the west, 1 is already NE.

Now a 4th has once again formed west of OKC.

I cant get over how black the sky is on the video feeds...if your watching this video from some other location, know that the sun has yet to set. That is one monster of a supercell.


Never mind that, I think that's an issue with the video. It gets light and then when the video is switched it's a more normal light level.

tornado sirens going off in Moore OK now

this is looking bad for OKC get to a shelter peoples not looking forward to seeing the aftermath of tonight its shaping up to be devastating like Moore

what makes this so bad is that they are rain wrapped tornadoes

I have a bad feeling were going to see if the new Devon Energy Tower in downtown is as strong as they claim.

i been living here 38 years and i dont ever recall the forcasters ever say there was a tornado in downtown okc or tulsa so this is seriuos

Where the hell are the live feeds?! I want to see this monster cell!

Just out on the porch, like a constant sound of rolling thunder with spider web looking lightning. Will log off now and start unplugging the important stuff. Should be ok, but want to be safe and sure. If Ok. is tornado alley, we here in mo. are the bowling pins.

They said on the weather channel it went over the airport. I am under a tornado warning now, in MO.

Didn't the State Fair Grounds get all but devastated back in the 70's? IIRC the old 89er stadium took a direct hit. But I could be wrong, though I dont think I am.
