The point I am making is that its not being covered on every channel on a loop. It's just a little perspective as a terrorist attack this is tiny.

You know, I watched Obama praise the 1st responders, I applaud them also. But what I didn't hear and never seem to hear. Is praise for the average people who did not hesitate for one second to leap to their country men's aid.

If you watched the videos I'm sure you saw the girl carrying another girl away on her back, or the guy in the cowboy hat clearing debris away behind the fence. How about the young man frantically trying to remove the fence ? Many people dropped everything and ran into danger to help.

IMO this is the American Spirit showing that no matter what WE ARE ONE. Just once I would like to hear from the MSM or the Government, good job folks. Instead if self-vilification from them and stay where you are WE WILL take care of you.

Well thanks for the help, but we are able to help ourselves also.

edit on 15-4-2013 by Stikiiki because: Yes! The average people don't care about party lines when they are at grond zero. They want their fellow Americans to come to the rescue...it's news, pundits and politicians that devide us...well I guess it

In Iraq today

Just sayin I don't see CNN or even ats getting excited about that, not even heard it mentioned on the news yet. A small bombing in america and its allover the news, huge bombing in iraq the same day and nobody cares

We dont live in Iraq, thats why.

If this board was set up in Iraq then i'm sure the top story would have been about the bombs in Iraq.

Awesome, I knew you would eventually show up and find ways to attack American and Americans. Please tell me again how my life in America is so horrible that if someone offered you a chance at that life you would show them the door.

Hrm Im glad you so eagerly await my posts. I think. If all Americans get is what's going on in their own country and very little of what's happening in other countries (a lot of which is being done in their name), then it would stand to reason they they would be ignorant of world events. That's not me bashing Americans, it's me pointing out the obvious. But you carry on felling insulted. Everyone thinks Americans in general are a bit thick, sorry to break it to you but the rest of the world doesn't like you all that much.

Right or wrong, attacks like this are not common in America so when they do occur they are going to get additional coverage.

What this basically says that once in a while the US gets a dose of realty and it's such a fascinating thing to them it deserves 24/7 coverage with all the hype of a Hollywood blockbuster. Sorry but this is just proof of the aforementioned ignorance.

OK, I'm going to ask you to re read my posts before you call me ignorant or accuse me of denying anything.

For the record, I'm Irish, I live and work in Dublin, I've spent the last ten years working on the ground in Lebanon, Saudi, Jordan, Israel, Egypt, Malaysia, Libya and the United Arab Emirates. I have travelled extensively throughout the region including Syria although I have never been to Iraq or Iran or Afghanistan. I've also spent time in Bosnia, the USA, france, the UK and most other European nations.

I am currently scanning Arabic language sources on the web such as the Arabic MSM News agencies. So far no one is calling this as an attack that was orchestrated within the region. (Although I wouldn't rule out the possibility)

I'm happy that my posts requesting that you refrain from war mongering are based on a viewpoint that is possibly more informed than yours, and that my awareness of the political, religious and social situations in the middle eastern nations that you appear to advocating violence towards, is some what less ignorant than yours.

Read what I am saying carefully please before responding with another personal attack.

In another thread - that has mysteriously disappeared - titled Boston Marathon bombing same as film "4 Lions." an interesting point was made in reference to whether or not bad movies and videos should be banned altogether. In his opening post the author asked this pertinent question:

"I never thought the comedy should have ever been released, but it was, and now a marathon has blown up, should the film be held accountable?"

My answer to the question is YES - and likewise for all horrific slashing/mayhem films (snuff films actually) and all sick violent video games. I am certain that these "Hollywood Zionist" visuals contribute greatly to violence in America and should be severely curtailed if not banned outright because of the general harm that they cause to our society.

BTW - when I was a kid most of this kind of stuff (including porn) was subject to a severe censorship board.

Now, more importantly (to me at least) - While observing intently several television news broadcasts of the Boston Marathon incident I couldn't help but to make a comparison between the similarly horrendous events at Boston MA and Newton CT. I noticed a marked difference between the coverage of these two events, i.e., the coverage of the Boston event as compared to the Sandy Hook event. For example - news broadcasters, police spokespersons, TV commentators, etc., were all behaving as they should have been, i.e., as if the event was really taking place in real time. There was no subterfuge; no secrecy; no confused and incoherent speech coming from those in authority as they stood before the cameras.

Ambulances showed up promptly, and all EMT's and rescue personnel immediately got to work having had full access to the dead and injured in their rescue efforts. They all were very obviously responding to a real event that didn't appear "staged" and that was not being covered in secrecy - the bodies of those killed, along with the injured were all removed to hospitals in the proper manner and not suspiciously under cover of darkness - nor were there strangely placed barriers set up around the incident so as to block everything off from public view, and there were no suspicious staging areas with people milling around doing nothing.

Conclusion - The open coverage of the event at the Boston Marathon is the exact opposite of what we saw at the alleged incident at Newtown CT.

POX- Every point you made is right on the money.

Notice too the difference in the intensity of the people in Boston as they were obviously responding to an actual emergency as opposed to the flatness of the people in SH - the people in SH had no energy in them. It was as though they were all hired to act out a play or something.

It is the price we all pay for freedom.

Yes, this is a HORRIFIC event....but what can we do to stop it. Ban bombs? Oh wait......fact is you won't stop it, we as a community need to look at why someone would want to do this and then act accordingly.

But we don't even know who did this and what their motivations were, so this discussion can be left for later. I like it that people are recording as much information as they can.

As mentioned a few times in the thread already, you can change the name of a Facebook page anytime after its creation.

Someone probably created a page on Saturday and changed it to this earlier today.

Patriot's day is the third Monday in April. It's a floater.

I think this is kinda important to keep in mind. Is it possible that tragedies that happened on this day in the past have a connection? Our patriot day is hated by someone...?

I still don't put anything past my government, though.

This is sad and I hope they get who's ever responsible! I pray everyone finds their missing love ones asap.

On another note I can't believe alex jones ( on twitter) already said this looks like a false flag event 30 mins after the attack happened, he just gave me another reason not to like him.

Good catch mate, but notice how the figure is walking towards the blast at the moment of detonation. I'd wager that a photo taken a split second later would show the same figure pegging it in the opposite direction. Although this is just speculation on my part.

My sincere best wishes to all those caught up in this terrible event. God speed to the deceased.

Thats what he does. If the president sneezes, its a false flag in his opinion. So long as he keeps calling EVERYTHING a false flag, he will eventually be right, and then can use that to toot his own horn for the next 10 years.

Its his M.O.

honestly, you're not sure why?

no one is trivializing the ME deaths, but, seriously?
