Once again, soldiers are not mindless automatons, we do not just blindly follow orders.

Yes in nam a bunch of drugged out conscripts ( conscripts dont volunteer, they are forced at gun point to serve) did do a lot of things to little people, that looked nothing like them. This is in no way a primer for the modern ALL VOLUNTEER force we have at present.

These arent kids that are forced, under threat of inprisonment, to go to a country nobody in america at the time had even heard of, and fight a unknown people, blindly believing what they are told.

These people are just like all of you, they are on ATS, they are informed, they will have the ability to find the truth. This isnt the information dark ages anymore.

In closing your obviously just running off at the mouth about things you have n o clue about, ignorance is curable through study.......I suggest you get started, as your as ignorant of the soldiers minds your attempting to describe, as I am about wether your parents are siblings or not.

My my guess at present would be, yes. Your family tree has a very strong trunk, but the no branchs part...........

See how easy it is to through insults around that are baseless, and have no positive outcome on the discussion at hand?

I had one of the hardest skill sets in the entire military, I am quite proud of my service, and I will have words with anyone that attempts to portray my battle buddies in a very unfair light. The facts are obvious here.

The person you're responding to probably just agrees with Kissinger, the elite taskmaster who said that soldiers are nothing more than dumb animals.

It would be hard to fight the U.S. government, but it will not be impossible at all.

A vast amount of troops wouldn't kill their own families or countrymen. Some will but, quite a few will stand with the people. You talk about chemical weapons and nukes. Why would our government spread a disease in it's own country. It wouldn't only effect rebels, it would effect U.S. troops as well. And nuking a major city that's pro rebels won't help either. Corporations have headquarters setup in certain cities, especially larger ones. And I'm sure rich businessmen will tell their politician buddies not to attack these regions.

And I'm sure if an all out civil war broke out, it would give enemy countries great opportunities to wipe out the government they've hated. They would side with the rebels and help them accomplish their victory. Just like how France helped the U.S. in it's revolution. France hated England and wanted revenge. When the civil war came about, it gave them the perfect opportunity.

There's more to a war than missiles, nukes, and chemical weapons. It would be primarily a troop-on-troop battle. Destroying your own country will take money out of their pockets, along with big time businesses in the U.S.

While you make a good case. You're assuming all scientists with access to bio weapons will side with the govt. The same goes for the military. Any intelligent millitary man or woman should (i hope) remember the oath they took to the constitution first, and president second. I know the majority of the higher ups are corrupt, but i'm hoping the ones lower would protect the people they are sworn to. I'm probably wrong and we'll all die horrible deaths, but thats what I choose to believe.

Once the scientists have developed the bio-weapons, they are killed. You should research dead microbiologists, that's an even more dangerous career than highway flagger.

They make a bunch of the stuff and then shoot themselves 3-4 times in the head. This is their usual retirement program.

He is not Patriotic to this country and how did that ever happen . As a former soldier myself, I assure you, your faith is not misplaced. There will be some who are tools, but I assure you most, a solid 2/3 will do the right thing, and will not turn on their countrymen.

Personally, I was deployed to new orleans after katrina. The douche bag governor during our briefing told us " if you see anyone stealing shoot them dead where they stand".

He was rushed from the room amongst the cries of "are you fracking crazy?" And " I didnt volunteer to shoot Americans" and my personal fave " shoukd we start with all you theiving politicians?"

From personal experience I am perfectly comfortable guaranteeing your safety from the military, they are us, we are them. And TPTB have no idea the #storm a kill order on Americans would cause, in all ranks, in all branchs.

I am sort of in awe at the thought of us not being able to defeat our Military , I think people who believe we cant win dont see the full picture , the government will not be able to garner support for a all out attack on its own people without dam good reason , you must account for the anormous amount of troops who will flee the Military in favor of defense of this country , I would wager at least 50% leave , and thats me lookin gon the bright side for our Military , we have issues with them killing strangers in strange lands but they are going to just up and kill thier countrymen >? I dont think so , I imagine rougue platoons of our military joining any force out to stop the destructions of its people, and if they dont , think of Rome , legions fighting legions for control of the republic , thats what would happen here, it would only take one crazy general to turn , the military would be forced to change course and address the new threat , at which point the peoples army becomes even stronger !
Dont forget the mass knowledge our countrymen hold , for weapon building , machines , welding , computers , everything ran by the people , we have great minds who would be building and working on our side , people the gov needs , we would control the roads, fuel , food , everything , in the peoples hands , I dont think you give the American people the credit they deserve , we are after all one of the major reason nobody can attack us , not just our military ! And once something like this happens you must remember the gov has no money to pay for such things as food and fuel ect , without the people paying them they have nothing , gaining support for the killing of Americans will not go over with the general public either , you are being rediculous there , half the country didnt want to fight the other half when it was for a dam good reason , imagaine the response they would get ?
Also you talk about nukes and smallpox , wow thats really reaching , I mean a terribly uneducated assumption , number one when you talk of such things , you have to account for the general WORLD community , not just the population you attack , Russia , China , just to name two of the WORLDS govs who would have something to say about such acts , and the military cant fight everyone , A civil war at this point would lead into WW3 because the other super powers couldnt allow such opening to pass them by !

Unfortunately i have to agree with sajuek. I too noticed a high level of vitriol among armchair warriors over the past few years. They tend to assume being right will garner success when rubber hits the road. If only. But the facts are wars are determined by firepower. They have the firepower and we don't.
President Eisenhower was suspicious and warned the American people of the intentions of the Military Industrial Complex during his farewell speech after the conclusion of his tenure. President Kennedy followed suite with his speech regarding nefarious secret organizations and such only to be murdered in broad daylight and in front of the world via television. Add to these facts President Wilson, after enabling foreign banking interests with a lock on printing America's currency and did so for their funding his campaign, offered his dire assessment of what all that meant to America's future.
America's involvement with constant war scenarios globally was/is the result of Washington Hawks who always find a new boogeyman or enemy worthy of mass funding by tax payers. Trillions has been spent since WW-II so Americans can sleep at night with some level of security. However, the trillions spent, as Mr. Eisenhower envisioned, has created the biggest threat to our way of life and the Constitution of this Republic.
Now in hindsight, after allowing power brokers total access to our fears, we find ourselves at the mercy of the elites who stacked the deck. They have the funding, equipment, chain of command and manpower to seize control and squash all resistance nationally using emergency war powers given to the president in recent times.
Being aware of what all this means should make all citizens to assume resistance and the use of violence will mean extreme counter-actions and justified under the Govt.s provisions of maintaining control.
Mass awareness and non-violent demonstrations and the power of the vote may alter their "New World" ambitions to some effect, but by no means should one commit a crime under these circumstances for it will only nullify your significance.
Remember, in today's world crime can and will be viewed as a terrorist act. If you doubt that then i suggest you ask you'r attorney. Also, i'd suggest you pick your battles with wisdom for any mistakes will be like a bad fart in your spacesuit. Only you will be aware of it and the others around you not only be only be immune but unaware as well. The police state you dwell in will make that so.
If there is to be a confrontation, as many wish and support, hope like hell you have a qualified chain of command who has access to the funding and equipment necessary to pose a serious threat to the enemy. Halfhearted attempts by proud rednecks will only create gravestones. Personally, i'd see that as a waste of talent that will be sorely needed if/when all other methods fail.

It would not be about winning the war, it would be about people not able to sit by any longer. They would feel they must fight, regardless of odds. It would be a war of attrition waged by citizens who wanted to be left alone, against a government fixated upon control.

To realize and acknowledge the true might of the US/NATO war machine is to acknowledge that the American people are about the only thing standing between Uncle Sam and the rest of the world.

If not for bleeding hearts this planet would be occupied.

So ease up on the pseudo-intellectual elitism?
