Hey, mistakes happen. But that was a pretty big one in my opinion.

Not that I don't find the two party system and the electoral college to be national disgraces...but really? You're one of the relatively few people in all of history to have a vote and instead of rejoicing in that fact while still exercising your right to critique the system, you compare us to Soviet Russia? If there ever was going to be an overthrow of what rights we do have, it would begin with a delegitimization of those rights along the lines of what these kind of comparisons seek to do.

Unless adding people to the food stamp program is Progress.

How dare we we use our collective wealth to help people get food! That is the most insane thing I have ever heard in an economy that will collapse at any given moment!

/end sarcasm

It's really sad that we have to demonize the poor just to uplift a political opinion. How low we have stooped.

You can't just sit back and dish out such intense sarcasm without acknowledging how much the hardworking upper-middle middle-upper class is demonized by the left. They practically make people feel bad for NOT being just as poor as others. I'm not buying it. More people on food stamps means there is not a lot of employment going around, and people are getting to COMFORTABLE with their freebies. I worked in public housing as a property manager and trust me, I know how comfortable most people get with these programs.

I am part of that upper upper middle class - I don't feel demonized by this administration. I feel demonized by an elite group who is sucking the money out of the economy - grinding it slowly to a halt.

Okay this is the kind of argument I am talking about. Did you know that there is more money supply in the economy than ever before thanks to the approval of stimulus packages and quantitative easing? Elite group? Don't even tell me you're part of the group that hates the Federal Reserve just because you're told to, even though you don't understand the integral part it plays in our economy.

Cute.

If Obama gets the next 4 years, will he blame the problems on the president of the past 4 years?

LMAO....

That's a good one......hmm, could prove a little tricky.

Maybe he can pretend that it will be his first term.
The other 4 years didn't count, it was just a trial run...

The Kool-aid has been stale, for quite some time.

Why wont Obama supporters hold him accountable, to his OWN WORDS?

Romney didnt make this up.

The GOP didnt make this up.

The DEMS didnt make this up.

Obama said this. Period.

Goodbye Obama.........................

I have a feeling that the strategy will be this: Blame the first 4 years on Bush. Blame the next 4 years on the Republicans in Congress. Obama is not known for his ability to accept responsibility.

Oh and now it looks like the genius of Comedy Central has made its way to ATS. Thank you for sharing your informative and well-made argument clearly displaying the class and intelligence The Daily Show's viewers are known for. In case you were wondering, because I can't be to sure of the comprehension skills of those politically-minded such as yourself, I was using sarcasm in my previous sentence.

He's gonna need another 24 hours for Stewart to tell him how to respond. Be patient.

Oh the Daily Show, its so insightful and rises so far above mere 'comedy' cutting closer to the truth then real pundits could ever hope to..except when they're wrong...then its just a joke...seriously, it's a joke...don't you know a joke when you see one? Get a sense of humor...You're acting like I just said it's insightful or something....I never said that....except when it is...which it isn't...but it is.....

That's more or less the game.

I really don't know where you are getting your polls, the only Yahoo poll I can find is on their politics page, news.yahoo.com... , and Obama is winning that with 72%

And again, you are talking about online polls. The scientifically conducted polls show Obama winning.

As a conservative I will concur with this. Yahoo is about as representative as mailing out a poll via fax machine.

Sheep, as usual you again show yourself NOT to be the Republican/conservative you have said yourself to be, or have been.

My comment is not about how people "SHOULD" give their money to help the poor, my comment is about how more people require assistance due to this administraions insane policies.

Thanks for listening.

Talk about cop-out generational squandering. So what if someone is old? or white? Jeeze, the left regard themselves as the tolerant side - but I've seen them resort to demographic insults coupled with petty semantics more than anyone else. This is just one of many examples.

I'm really starting to miss coherent posts which contain a bit of argument outside of condescending dribble wrapped in generalizations and presumptions...
