Reading some of the replies, I see there are people who think a guy that can make hundreds of millions of dollars for himself and his investors, is somehow an unintelligent idiot. The guy has degrees from Stanford, Brigham Young, Harvard Law and Harvard Business School, and he rescued an Olympic Games that was going down the toilet. Yeah he's a moron.

So the love of money and the psychopathic attitude to make as much as you can at ANY cost, makes a person intelligent?

This is the same reason he saw no issue with traveling with his dog strapped to the top of his car.

Wind resistance and air pressure don't exist in Romney's world.

I guess that someone who is above the people, also is above the laws of physics and laws of nature.

He never got a degree from Stanford...

As far as Harvard and Brigham Young? Standard fair for the son of Millionaire Morman...Grades don't matter...the kids go to Ivy League regardless...And Romney's Uncle was President of Brigham Young...

And though he is quick to point out that he didn't keep his father's inheritance, he is slow to acknowledge that his father died in 1995, long after his father had gotten him start at Bain Capital and helped him get his fortune rolling. When his father died Romney was already worth over 100 Million and described his father's remaining wealth as "not a lot of money".

Yes...it is not only possible, but happens more often than you think in the silver-spoon world where less than intelligent folks amass extraordinary wealth...welcome to America.

OMG....that's some funny shiz right thar! (your first post in the topic)

Yeah it is scarey. This day and age people try to focus their attention on one topic or another and are border line mentally impaired on anything but that topic. I like to attempt to be a "Renaissance man" I like to learn as much as I can about as many different things as I can...I might not be an "expert" in any particular field, but I know enough to have a semi-intelligent conversation about many things.

These Olympic Games??

"Without question, we simply could not host Games in Salt Lake if it were not for the enormous spending and services of the federal government," Romney had said in a 2001 testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee during a hearing around cooperation between federal, state, local and private agencies for the Salt Lake City Olympics.

"When I came to the Games two years ago, following the revelations of bid impropriety, there was nothing which caused greater anxiety than whether or not we could count on this critical federal support," he said, before thanking both the Clinton and Bush administrations for being involved with his committee's planning efforts "every step of the way."

What exactly are you talking about? How did he rescue the Olympic Games? That is a new one for me.

Maybe you should read more.

99% of Americans sure-as-shinola know why you can't roll down the window on an airliner

I seriously doubt that! Do you have a source? I suspect many would claim they can't "roll down the window" because there's no window crank, or power window switch.

See ya,
Milt

What's the use of having a window seat if you can't open it when the person next to you farts?

He does not have a degree from Stanford. He left to run away from the draft...er, I mean all the suddenly go on a two year mission trip living in a French chateau. Then once daddy could secure him a deferment he came back and finished his under graduate degree at BYU.

Oh, and that Olympic games he rescued in 2002? Maybe the $1.3B in taxpayer money he got from the feds had something to do with it.

The mega millions he made? He only went for it after his boss (THE Mr. Bain) promised him there'd be no risk. Bain wanted his dad's contacts as an ex-CEO of one of the largest companies then in the world and a former governor of a major state. Mitt's business success was AUTOMATIC; given the exact scenario, a monkey could have made as much.

If you want to see the measure of his management skills, look at his campaign. Presidential campaigns are essentially the most complex of business startups. These are giant organizations that are created from nothing, involve massive amounts of money and have a finite time period in which to perform. Romney is failing miserably according even to the most stalwart of conservatives. This is also one of the reasons many conservatives privately gave Obama props 4 years ago -- he masterminded and led the most successful political campaign in history.

I stand corrected. He attended Stanford for a year before going on mission in France. Two things are obvious to me. One, you're not a Romney fan (maybe an Obama staffer?) And two, money does not always beget money. There are plenty of idiots that squander fortunes.

Tell us, how did Mr. Obama afford his education at various upper echelon schools? At least we know how Mr. Romney afforded such schools.

This reminds me of collagehumor or is it humordy. I need to find that video.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Romney campaign is so full of BS that it has been insulting.

Anyway I think I can now say it isn’t that he thinks we are idiots.

It's that he thinks that he is smarter than we are.

So if you do something stupid, you can say "Nuh-uh! I went to college!" and be exonerated?

So now education is the same as money? If you have enough, you can do no wrong?

That seems to work very well for Mr. Obama! Why shouldn't we allow the same courtesy to Mr. Romney? At least he knows there are only fifty states. The way US debt has increased under Mr. Obama's administration, it seems he's still expecting tax revenue from the additional seven states that he visited.

See ya,
Milt

Oh_My_GOD!
That is HILARIOUS! Romney is the Sarah Palin of this election, I'm telling you! I've said it before. Before this is over, he's going to be as much of a laughing stock as she is. :shk:

Was their dog traveling on the wing of the "aircraft"? ... Shouldn't be a problem. Plenty of oxygen out there.

Obama's Student Loans

Yeah, it was GIVEN to him.

I think Romney is a terrible candidate and I know its all the rage to make fun of the guy but, he is not stupid and I think things like this just distract from what is important. It is a long exausting campaign and everyone ends up saying random things at times. To me calling Mitt a moron is like calling Obama a muslim or a socialist, it is not true and just takes away from the things people should really be focused on.

Sure, we could talk about how he hasn't given any details about how he plans to run the country, OR we could look at his intelligence and question the complete cluelessness he has shown in his comments.

This is the man who suggested that poor students borrow money from their parents to go to college.
This is the guy who strapped his dog to the roof of his car!
The man believes that his underwear protect him from temptation and evil. (I don't think his are working)
He single-handedly gaffed his way around the London Olympics, insulting and confusing the world with his comments.

This isn't about making fun of him for the sake of making fun. The guy is more of an idiot then Dubya! He wouldn't know what to do if he DID with the presidency!

Oh...OK...Yes Mitt Romney did not waste his fathers money or connections on crystal meth and hookers. He deserves a pat on the back for struglling from the ranks of Millionaire's son to Mega-Millionaire/wannabe POTUS.

Give me a break...

Student Loans...like the rest of us..

Michelle Obama

“In fact, when we were first married — I mentioned this — our combined monthly student loan bills were actually higher than our mortgage.”

Agreed. Just ask Mr. Obama how many states there are in the Union.

I'm pretty sure that he has a better idea than Mr Romney, the guy who thinks it's funny to tell the story of the day he stuck his dog in a crate on the roof of his car and then drove to Canada.
