The plain green flag is affliated with Pro-Ghaddafi
however the green flags I'm looking at in the photos at the Sydney riots are Al Qaeda flags, Hizbollah flags, Palestinian Hamas and the Saudi Arabia' national flag! I can also spot the Islamic Khalifa flag too. I can also identify the headbands......edit on 16-9-2012 by bluemirage5 because: (no reason given)

Arrest them too?

Some of you are extremely ignorant regarding these issues, I'm sorry to say. There is a huge difference between waving a flag at say, a social gathering, and waving a flag while rioting in the streets. The difference in those white power idiots and these idiots who are rioting is that the latter are in fact breaking the law. When something of this caliber and scale occurs, it shows that there is a large group of people, although definitely not the majority, willing to break the law for their doctrine. That doctrine, in this case, is in part represented by the flags you see them displaying.

We see our flags burnt
and buildings torched by those scumbags
it's about time we started to hit back before it's too late, as the world is turning Muslim because of America having a Muslim President, it's only happened since America went pro Muslim.
Just a little concerned, that's all. I'll leave if you want that...

These guys are pretty angry and it wouldn't have taken much to escalate a lot further as it has around the world.
Cool heads need to prevail and those responsible for this idiotic movie need to be arrested, simple as that.
This issue is a time-bomb ticking, someone needs to apoligise for the offensive film and we all need to get on with our lives.
By the same token, Islamic groups need to be less thin skinned and take it for what it was an idiotic provocation that wasn't needed. Its not worth killing and burning, certainly the culprits should be arrested.
From what i understand, many protestors were holding the confirmed Al Qaeda flags, but it is still to be determined what the other flags were. By inferring, one can assume that they might also be Terrorist related flags...either way, the individuals should be monitored and locked up.
I know that they weren't the majority of the protestors, but still, it is kind of worrying that there are extremists running around...

Oh come on.....there is also a hugh difference between rioting and terrorist activity. How many of those "extremist" flag wavers are planning a trip to an Al Qaeda training camp to actually bomb a building?
Isn't this more a case of a group of people getting together and letting their frustrations out? I've seen better riots here in my country over some football match but come Monday they all go peacefully back to work. It's group mentality, they don't know any better but if you let the fear dictate your emotions you would conclude that these people actually pose a threat.
I refuse to believe that those halfwits are a threat, period!
Shoot me, I'm done with this nonsense.
Peace

You do not know how many , we do not how many, but the potential is there for it.
I say remove the threat before an incident happens. Intent is never known until after the fact.
