My point is... being censured should have a qualitative and measurable effect on the character (for example, not being a functioning member of the elite anymore) .. instead it's a political red badge of courage.... why is that OK? because the media says so?

oh i am with ya. If censured the offending person should be thrown out. If i am not mistaken though he got thrown off all the committees he was one, he was the chair of the house ways and means committee

Nothing but lies. Ran on a platform of change, did'nt change a damn thing. "We will be transparent." The Obama administration is as transparent as a brick wall.

While it may seem like the only logical thing to do, we cannot really go back and start looking into the Presidents of years past. When things like that happen, you end up with witch hunts. And lets be honest...do we really want to dig up Reagan to stand trial for all the horrendous things he did?

No, best to let sleeping dogs lie. Besides, if the American people don't have the stones to stand up and demand accountability WHILE IT IS HAPPENING, it is all an academic point. And I suppose it would leave us fiddling while Rome burns, now wouldn't it?

This is a good reminder of why The People need to remain engaged, and to stop being distracted by the circus known as "politics". What politics truly is resembles nothing like what The People think it is.

Besides, why are we even talking about this? Prince William turns 30 today and is going to receive a humongous inheritance right in his rectum (so when he farts, British Pounds will fly out). What's with this Fast and Furious distraction again? Oh....yea....I love Vin Diesel. Are they really making another one?

OK, just to play devil's advocate for a moment; has it occurred to any of you that yes, a sting went wrong and now those who were caught with their pants down are trying to reconfigure the plan in order to not only mitigate the previous damage but to prevent it from happening again and complete the original goals?

That would make F&F "need to know", as it is an ongoing national security operation. In other words there is no reason (nor a precedent) for all of congress to have all of the information regarding an ongoing operation where security and the lives of undercover agents are on the line. Holder and the administration have released thousands of documents regarding this situation and the reasons it fell apart. They do however refuse to submit current information about an ongoing investigation to the full body of the Congress. Make no mistake there are those in Congress who have been briefed on this subject and like Mr Holder they cannot speak of it under penalty of law.

If they did I am sure the GOP would then cite them for treason. They are logical like that.

Because the ends cannot be used to justify the means. If they are conducting operations that involve selling guns to foreign national criminals, then there is nothing else that can be added to mitigate the severity of what they have done.

Besides, what are they fighting down there? A drug trade that they have not only fostered, but benefitted from? I have a relative that was a medic in a special forces US Army operation. He did countless missions to Costa Rica and Mexico to provide protection for various drug crops. While conducting officially unofficial US Army business.

while the original subpoena did include documents that would be illegal and/or improper to turn over, such as documents pertaining to ongoing investigations, grand jury testimony etc, they did modify the subpoena weeks ago to omit that material. The material included in the subpoena that Holder has had for weeks is all legal to turn over, the material is all at the discretion of the DoJ. The claims that the aforementioned materials are illegal to turn over is misleading and false. It's all something the other side is putting out there to make the majority look unreasonable. Furthermore, this investigation is about Fast and Furious. It is not about Wide Receiver. So documents pertaining to wide receiver and the previous administration do not matter in this case.

Yea, i agree.. Im confused still, as MANY are about BHO's past.. But here is a recent video, by his former law prof at Harvard talking about how he must be defeated!

Roberto Unger, Obama’s former Harvard Law Professor, has created a video stating that “Obama must be defeated“. It’s making a splash on the internet and says that short of a complete political reversal, President Obama should be defeated in order to establish a new progressive baseline for the Democratic party. His argument is that Americans have no hope of regaining their middle class, productive status if there is no one helping establish the structure needed to enable the middle class to support themselves. “Financial confidence and food stamps” – gestures to the elite and to the poverty stricken are what Unger sees as Obama’s ineffective policy

Even his old teacher says he should get kicked out and not be POTUS

There is an odd situation within the Obama administration.

Mums the word on the Fast & Furious documents but go ahead

and be a blabbermouth about the Stuxnet Virus, the doctor who helped us in

Pakistan to get Bin Laden and the double agent who helped stop the

underwear bomber!

His Motive her is to gain bones on the prez and help aid the fellow democrat. His lies are reflected in half truths and keeping his fellow dem in power, that is the motive. Do not think for one minute, there will be an honest investigation here. This will be all spin, damage control and in the end use MSM to convince the sheeplings of this country the this was a good thing.

Make no mistake the government is out to get the very people they erive their power from.

Trust me, I am with you on this. It proves to me that who "the party" picks for "us" to love has nothing at all to do with our state or national interests... just their own. The media does the rest.

Not true he did "change" Per his own words "We live in the greatest country in the world, now is time for change" i.e. let's run into the ground and make it a facist socialist state. He is changing America alright, we the people just aren't going to like the outcome.

So you feel comfortable supporting and voting for a war monger. Great.

You have no clue if Romney would lower the unemployment rate. Presidents do not control the economy. Anyone who is running for president will claim they will lower it, to sucker people like you into voting for them.

A magical unemployment prediction rate that Romney pulled out of thin air holds more weight to you than human lives.

Your view on this is appalling. No wonder why the USA is crashing.

edit on 20-6-2012 by RealSpoke because: (no reason given)

Um, do you mean like how Obama promised to lower the Unemployment rate? Joe Biden, 2010: "we are going to create 500,000 new jobs per month!"

Do you meant Obama who sent troops into Libya without congressional approval?

Do you mean the magical unemployment rate that Obama predicted?

Are you on crack?

I am not going to waste my time citing sources, as this is all common knowledge that apparently only conservatives have heard for the last 3.5 years.

Presidents DO in fact control the economy -- they create an atmosphere that allows business to flourish, or, they create an atmosphere that causes businesses to clamp down on hiring. PERIOD.

If you do not understand that principal, then you have serious issues.

He will do the same as Obama. Presidents do not control the economy.

The same hate people feel for Obama, they should feel for Romney. Especially ATS members, aren't you guys supposed to be somewhat politically educated? Both are backed by Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan. Both are war mongers. Both could care less about the constitution. Both could careless about you.

Who cares if Romney is a multi-millionaire? Obama is one as well. If you vote for someone because of their net worth...that is just...dumb.

Anyways... Romney is going to do nothing but spend our money. He has said he is not going to cut Federal spending. Hmmm he sounds just like Barack....Sure he's republican?

"If you just cut, if all you're thinking about doing is cutting spending, as you cut spending you'll slow down the economy" - Mitt Romney

The difference here, friend, is that ROMNEY EARNED his money by hard work and ingenuity, while Obama RECEIVED his wealth by getting hand outs. Obama hasn't worked a day in his life.

Seriously??

Not that Mittens can do better, but can he really do worse then what Obama has done ?

Can he really have a higher Unemployment record, and Polarize America, any worse then Obama ?

Im waiting for Obama to pull "executive privilege" on his fiasco of a Presidency !

Doesn't Romney represent the interests of corporate America? Sure he'll be good for business....and thats about it.

Well the simple fact is that CORPORATE AMERICA is what DRIVES America. Do you think GOVERNMENT drives America?

This is the problem with Liberals....classic example.

Does anyone feel like I do, that they wish Bill Clinton was back in office, instead of this Nimrod?

I didn't care for Bill Clinton. But after seeing what Obama has done to this country, Bill was a walk in the park.
