Oh please...the jobs they "illegals" are usually in are low skill labor jobs. And everyone, "illegal" or American citizen, start in those jobs with no training.

You chastised a guy earlier when he spoke about not being able to get a job at a McDonalds because he didn't know Spanish. McDonalds is a pretty low skill job, one that that particular US citizen couldn't get.

What's the difference?

There is no realistic difference, it's the same thing. You are paying low income people to live so they don't complain, loot, steal and riot for a living. Instead of giving them a job, it's cheaper to find labor in another countries citizens than it is to employ an American (I personally consider that treason). Your "social safety net" is a recipe for disaster.

Meanwhile, the rest of us with some sense are suffering for it. That isn't a functional society and it will come crashing down sooner or later when the goods run out. It's simply human nature to take something for nothing if you can, regardless of the big picture.

If you don't see a difference between a social safety net and a free ride...then I just have to assume I'm dealing with someone not educated enough to understand the difference.

If you are suffering because children aren't starving to death in your country...you have deep mental issues.

I don't know what else to say to you...it is hard to relate to such a heartless position.

Yes...ENTERING the country illegally is a misdemenor.

You are now changing your story now...because now you are claiming repeat offenses are felonies...but that isn't what you originally stated.

Back peddling is fun...but it is very apparent when you do it.

But remember...they should really get over it...people today don't take responsibilty for that....but they do think they are entitled to be privledged because their ancestors "built America".

We only remember the positives around here apparently

lol there are a lot of "hardworking" immigrants that moonlight as drug dealers etc. And seeing as they are in the country illegally, the very minute they enter the country they are a criminal lol...good first impression is it not?

Yes...demonize them...they are all drug dealers...they are all rapist...they are all carrying disease...they are all murderers.

And I just love how people sit on their high horse and try to demonize people for a minor infraction because they want to feed their families...I keep forgetting that Americans are of such high moral values and never commit crimes themselves.

The point is for most Hispanics men between 16-30, selling drugs and gang related activity is easily accessible, and most get their start as drug runners for the cartels.

Most of them huh...how very ignorant of you.

Well, if they come here legally, work legally, and stop sucking our government dry, then by all means let them come.

I'm all for it...let's make that process much easier and they will all do as you want them to.

Illegal immigrants aren't at the root of our governments debt problems...you are a fool if you think so.

The illegal immigrants get hired alot in
temp agencies. I have seen them come
and go in the business.. There are crappy
illegal workers just as many as good ones.
Who will not speak english nor care to know it,
will act like they do not know what you are saying
and make you do the extra work. Only do as little
as possible, the females are overweight, they get overweight within a year, also seems to have
even more feeling of being entitled to doing the easy stuff something about like there a big box they will point
to the men to get the box because they are women like they still feel special for being female for some reason
and put the rest of the work on everyone else.
Just like all groups of people you got a lot
of scum.

Or maybe it could be that those immigrants come here and undercut our wages, our standard of lving, and our culture. Did you ever think that maybe having a bunch of people willing to work for 1/3 the rate because they're sending all the money they make out of the country anyway to somewhere where it's cheaper to live is a less than zero sum game?

They can send their money anywhere they want...it's not illegal.

If you are so concerned about them working for less...then you should be focused on making them legal rather than trying the impossible and trying the deport and lock down border game.

And our culture...
...American culture is ever evolving because we are a nation of immigrants. What culture is it that you are afraid of losing...I am extremely interested.

What I do not support in any way shape or form is those that come to this country and SPIT ON EVERYTHING WE BELIEVE IN

Exactly what are they spitting on??? What is is exactlyt hat we believe in that they are so disrespectful to???

None of this is new, Americans have always blamed the immigrants legal or illegal. First the Irish and Chinese now its the Latinos. They stamp their feet and pout about them, but ultimately won't put the feet of those truly responsible aka the employers hiring them responsible. They don't want to admit that the failure of the middle class is their own fault for decades of shopping big box stores, buying American produced foreign cars and prostituting themselves like Chinese labor with free ride "Right to work" laws which is really the right to work for less.

That's very true...the people complaining about these problems are the ones that helped create them.

There will be a new middle class rising...it will be made up of 1st and 2nd generation immigrants because they are the ones that have the determination and drive to do it.

Well, I'm glad you have it all figured out but you're wrong.

First of all, you and people like you need to stop blurring the line between "Immigrant" and "Illegal Alien". When you try to make them one and the same you make yourself look ignorant. When people say, "we're a nation of immigrants", they're right. We are NOT a nation of illegal border crossers who came here from the "Old Country" only to hang up their native flag and demand free medical services, welfare and education. See the difference? If not, then quite honestly, we can't carry on an intelligible conversation.

Secondly, make no mistake, once these so-called immigrants are made "legal" by our dictator in chief, the game will change. See, the reason it's such a benefit for illegals to be illegal is because many of them avoid taxes and get paid under the table. That will go away. They will become part of the system; they will pay taxes and will be subject to the wage laws they now circumvent. The end result is that there will be no incentive to hire them over hard-working American citizens.

If you think illegals get jobs now because of their skills, knowledge and experience, you are naive. All things being equal, an English-speaking, legitimate citizen is going to have the advantage every time.

What I most hate about the whole illegal issue is the fact that we have millionaires; yes, millionaires who have gone through the channels to become a legal citizen and the DIDN'T have to. They did it because they wanted to be an American citizen, not suck the system dry and send 80% of the booty back home. It is an insult to anybody who has gone through the proper channels to become a citizen.

At the end of the day, your philosophy on why people "hate" illegals is irrelevant. They are still illegal and somebody along the line broke the law for them to be here. Like it or not, when YOU break the law, YOU are wrong, not your critics. That's how it works in a civilized, rational world.

I would like to know if the OP of this thread is American?

Born and raised.

Because if you are, you are fat, lazy just as you label all of us.

Did I say anything about fat???

Are you projecting???

I'm lazier than immigrants...I already admitted to that.

Have you ever lost a job to an illegal that will work for less? Have you ever seen or been part of a industry to where their wages were lowered because of those "hard working illegals" who work for way less, who don't rock the boat because they don't want to be deported, who don't file Workers comp claims when they are hurt, because they are illegal.

I have lost work to outsourcing...it doesn't bother me...I just kept on keeping on. I'm not mad at the person in another country that got the job...I'm a bit sad that they are probably getting paid way less than the should be...but at least they will feed their family...how could I get mad at that???

25 million illegal immigrants simply walk across our southern border and you can't find a problem with that? Let me guess, Outcast Searcher, you don't do trade work do you?

Nope...I don't do trade work...I almost did...I decided not to.

The immigrants treat the job as though it's important and they have made it. On the other hand the average American will just be complacent to do his share. There's nothing wrong with that, but you'll lose. You have to do more now if you're competing for those types of jobs and that's just how it is.

Yes...like I said...some Americans fear the competition.

It isn't about them being "illegal"...it isn't that they will work for less...because if it was, people would have no problem with making legal entry and obtaining work permits extremely easy. Then they would be legal and they would work for at least minimum wage.

But they don't suppor this...and it is because they fear the competition...they know how hard immigrants work...they have a drive and a determination that most Americans just don't have. So not only do they want all "illegals" gone...they want to keep legal entry extremely difficult and at the lowest level possible. Then they can continue to be lazy and don't have to compete with extremely hard working and determined immigrants.

You are so full of yourself that now you are lying to make yourself look good and to make me look bad, but it isnt going to work since my post speaks for itself. I originally posted.....

Entering illegally is a misdemeanor as you stated, the first time it is done. If it is repeated, it becomes a felony.

www.americanpatrol.com...

Each year the Border Patrol is making more than a million apprehensions of people who flagrantly violate our nation's laws by unlawfully crossing U.S. borders to work and to receive publicly-funded services, often with the aid of fraudulent documents. Such entry is a misdemeanor and, if repeated, becomes punishable as a felony.

Heres the page its on..www.abovetopsecret.com...

So we can see that you lie and say Im backpeddling when Im not, so I will assume that you dont know what the hell you are talking about at all in this thread.,.,FAIL

After all, that's what this is really and truly all about. It's angry people, upset because they didn't get everything they ever wanted handed to them on a silver platter, so now they have to demonize others to make themselves feel important. What better way to do that than to create a problem, distort the facts, and blame it on the very people suffering from the problem because somewhere in history before they were born, society made a wrong turn?

Really..that's what you think this is about

I'm not the one that feels entitled to have first dibs on a job because I was born on the right side of an imaginary line.

I love how you are trying to make you and other Americans the "victim" in this scenario. Are you the one being exploited by companies to work for less money? Are you the one that has to risk their life in order to feed their family? Are you the one that is labeled as a drug dealer, rapist, disease ridden, criminal? Do you suffer from a hate campaign so that when somone (like people in this thread) see a certain type of person speaking a different language, they immediately assume they are "illegal"...and you know....most likely a drug dealer and rapist?

Yes...you are such the victim...you are a poor little entitled victim.

Seriously...give me a break.

If these illegal immigrants truly wanted to better the lot of them and theirs, why not come into the country holding a relevant degree from a well-known, government certified institution?

Answer me that OP and I'll try to wrap this up.

So that is your answer...they should get a college degree...because we know how easy and cheap that is to do.

But you know what...their kids will...and their kids will have a determination that entitled "American" kids will never understand.

Yes, knee jerk hatred because you immediately assume that if person A does not want person B to come into this country illegally, it must be because of hatred.

Well...when they start to claim they are drug dealers, rapist, murderers, and whatnot....I don't think that comes from them being rational thinking people...I think that comes from them being illogical hateful people.

Objectively thinking people would examine the situation in greater detail, and weigh both the risks and any potential benefits of illegal immigration.
Sure there are some benefits, but the negatives far outweigh the positives, and that is the main point of this whole discussion.

Except you are wrong.

We all know that without "illegals" doing the jobs they do at the pay they get...we would all be paying a lot more for a lot of our products and services.

Maybe people are just looking at it wrong...maybe instead of people complaining...they should use this issue as motivation to better themselves. If they know they can no longer get that low-skilled labor job...maybe they will have the motivation to learn some new skills, get an education, and get a better job.

Or maybe that is too much work.

I see what you mean, but what you are counting on here is that once they gain citizenship that they will be picked over another citizen. Right now they are hiring illegals because they work for cheap, not necessarily harder, but cheaper. If that same illegal gained citizenship, then there would be no advantage for them over the other citizen for the employer to hire them. They'd have to pay them the same amount, plus probably deal with a language barrier and possibly literacy issues. If they have to pay them a full wage, that's going to look very unattractive, and the other citizen will end up getting the job. Once this cycle happens a handful of times, that now legal citizen would probably end up on some kind of assistance because they do not have the skills necessary for a real, above the table job.

I'm a pretty left leaning person, I vote to the left, but this illegal immigration thing is soooooo far left. It's one of the few areas I agree with the right on.

When your relatives/ancestors came here the first time, what do you think they were doing? You don't think they work for less in order to get by until many many years and perhaps a few generations until they became successful?

If your great, great, great, great, great, great grand parents could tell you the story of their lives when they first went to the USA, you will see the similarities of what we now see with immigrants and with what they went through.

You are now acting the same way those acted upon your ancestors when they first arrived in the USA!

Exactly...great points.

Except the people complaining are now entitled Americans...and they feel like they DESERVE a job...just because they are an "American".
