First off, Columbia does NOT have a 'democracy', it has a 'democratic republic'. Big difference; the first being mob rule, and the second being an attempt at checks (not cheques) and balances. What a load of nonsense...she's 85 so hardly likely to have the body of a teenager, but believe me, she's not morbidly obese and from that video, barack and michelle don't exactly look in great shape either.

An American slagging an octogenarian for apparently being overweight really is the height of irony and quite frankly pretty pityful.

Dislike her for a any of a number of reasons, that's entirely an individuals opinion, but who really gives a toss if an 86year old woman is slightly overweight - surely there's more important things in the world to concern yourself about?

And still no-one has even attempted to answer the question; why do so many non-Brits have this obsession with a person who has absolutely no relevance, effect or influence on their lives?

Personally i think she deserves some respect.

Most people feel the same way about all her relatives, so you aren't going to get any sympathy on that note. I can only wish one of them reads this and wakes up to themselves.
