I can certainly understand that! I have seen more than my fair share of American bashing by British people as of late and it is frustrating to see people go on and on as if they have a clue to what your normal average American is. But you know, it's easy to judge an entire people based on what their media tells them about their government and politicians. Even some of my 'British' friends have a great time making fun of the way American's speak and I have to keep from saying "which are you dear.. the pot or the kettle?" Hell I even heard someone call America "England's bastard child", whatever the hell that means.

As far as George Washington.. well who knows, maybe he was. He was after all a politician after all! I don't trust a one of them! Here is how disinformation specialists work - including Icke, Rense, and Jones. If there are three primary conspiracies we are interested in, and maybe they tie into one conspiracy. They will list 9/11 as an inside job. But then they throw in 20 other absurd conspiracies. People can only focus on a limited number problems at one time. So now people are distracted with many conspiracies. Further some of the conspiracies are obviously absurd, so anyone following Rense or Jones looks like a nut job.
Example- maybe we are concerned with 9/11 being an inside job, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars were planned years in advance, and the Federal Reserve stole 16 Trillion dollars to hand out to cover the banks gambling debts. Those are factual conspiracies.
Then to muddy the issue and distract people, with Icke we get shape shifting reptilians, Jones says the Queen is fat, Rense loves Nazis and sees UFOs everywhere.
There are far more disinformation sites than there are valid ones. If the site is well funded and the person is rich, guess who is really paying them.

Err...No she isn't! Where the heck did you get that information?

As for the ongoing debacle about Scottish independence..No thanks, I'm quite happy being in the Union, as are most sane people. In fact the only people I have come across who would vote yes are currently not the age to vote (thank goodness) and are basing their opinions on ideology and misinformation e.g. the oil question, not really the big money spinner that it's thought to be, considering that it's not Scotland who own all of the equipment on the oilfieilds to drill the stuff out and whereas if we had controlled it from the 70's and followed Norway's system we would be doing fine and dandy now, but the reserves are not what they were and the infrastructure is already in place.
