Zimmerman had no marks that he attempted to defend himself in any other way then shooting him. Also i think you should keep in mind that a head wound bleeds profusely even when not bad. If he had his head "slamed" into the ground we would have seen more damage. The question is who started the altercation and by all witness accounts Zimmerman did. The only account that backs up Zimmermans story is his own so far.

I wouldnt discredit the girlfriend, she couldnt have made up facts that fit with the scene without knowing what had happened. She was interviewed before this was such a public issue and her statements line up with whatelse we know so far.

There is more proof that Zimmerman followed Martin then there is that Martin followed Zimmerman.. You chose to belive that Martin followed Zimmerman anyway. So is there really a point in me showing more?

Who followed who is irrelevant, since following is not a crime.

Who attacked first the other one is what matters, since attacking others is a crime.

An unnamed girl, described by Trayvon’s family as his girlfriend, told investigators she was on the phone with Trayvon in the moments before the shooting, when Trayvon told her he was being followed by a man while on his way home. Her statement suggested that Trayvon was first attacked by Zimmerman.

“He said the guy was getting real close to him. Next thing I hear, ‘Why are you following me for?’ And I hear this man: ‘What are you doing around here?’” the girl told prosecutors in an April 2 statement.

The girl said she could then hear somebody “bump” Trayvon before hearing Trayvon say: “Get off, get off.” Then the phone went dead.

Be that as it may, if it was proven that Zim made physical contact with Tray first, the Zim supports would say " Tray should not have made Zim feel his life was threatend" therefore again Tray deserved to die.
